Ee😅😅e😅er😅almost😅er😅r😅
😂😂😂😂
Wait, the mom didn't make the appointment about herself and consistently complimented the bride? I wish this weren't so rare on this show. 😅
Welp that's because Canadians don't do usa style drama
nah cos they already had to no strap drama so they didn't need her to
😂
I love how she just loved the first dress and no one even gave their opinion lol
why is the narrator saying she said yes to the first dress? the first one was the strapless pnina.
@@dietotaku I didn’t hear that I was just referring to the fact that she immediately liked the first dress and wasn’t interested in her entourage’s opinion
@@dietotaku at first I thought the segment was chopped up so we saw it wrong but the narrator says the first dress is a ruched pnina. They must have messed up in doing the voiceover referring to her choice.

@@Chanelnumber7394that’s exactly how it should be.
This staff gosh..... I freaking love them. They have passion to help brides make their dreams come true and it's so rare
haha yeah and they also made a promise they couldn't keep. I would be mad if that was me
@naynayw Ya but they still came up with a good compromise and made it happen with that dress
I honestly thought the dress looked better with the spaghetti straps than strapless! They just made it look more proportional without drawing too much attention, and it looked lovely on her. The original straps were wayyy too busy imo, she had a point to want to get rid of them.
I love how they were able to take one dress and bring forth a new expression that fit her personality. It is going to be uniquely hers! One of a kind!
That’s so thoughtful of you Devona, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
@@jeffersonmorant scammer!
Thumbs up to the staff, they gave her options and gave her space to think them through.
thumbs down they promised her something they couldn't deliver on! they dont usually get it wrong but this was bad haha. Brides should never have to sacrifice their vision.
I thought the dress looked so regal with its original straps. The dress was so gorgeously designed. Great choice. She seemed like was ready to say yes to anything which was kind of concerning given that she had $8000 to work with . Girl take your time.
Too young. Doubt that was a successful marriage.
@@kimm6589 🤔I was married at 22 and still going strong 2 kids and 26 years later!
She's so gorgeous, she could wear literally any dress in the store!
My thought exactly!!
She looks so much like her Mum.
Little Strap was gorgeous.
Congratulations.
I’m really pleasantly surprised. I thought she was going to be a bride-zilla, but she turned out to be really easy to please and didn’t fret about a little strap.
Yeah...I would have wanted to see more...I feel guilty of being a bride-zilla.
I love that on top of giving her such pretty but very simple straps the consultant just went "boom! can't even see them" and moved her hair in the way of them
I expected to see multiple dresses before she found her dress. It's kind of nice she found it so quickly. As to the price.... it ain't your dress, your money, or your day.🎉🎉
Kind of like her older man husband.
@@tss9886 Love is love and age should not be a factor as long as both are consenting adults.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj She asked him out in the first place too.
She was prepared with pictures of what she wanted. Did her research and the consultant was able to find it quickly
My dress was the 1 and only one that I tried on, I fell in love with it and didn’t want anything else lol. I thought I didn’t want lace, had my cousin not been with me, I wouldn’t have tried it on.
NO WAY WHEN U SAID MUSKOKA ONTARIO!! I FLIPPED!! I LIVE THERE!!!!!!!!!!
me too! i also have a cottage on Rosseau
I really really really like those thin sparkly spaghetti straps on that dress. And with that decorative detail across the top, perfection!
The dress looked even more beautiful with the diamond straps and bordering on the dress
The first dress with the original straps, stunning 😍
Randy is a dress artist. Of course he can help "regroup" her challenges.
A "merry widow" corsette under the dress would have provided the support required. But it was lovely.
That’s so thoughtful of you Lee Perry, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
I'm confused, it was the second dress she picked not the first.
Ah well, this episode is from around 10 or 12 years ago, so it doesn't matter now, anyhow.
It was the second dress, but after she said yes to it, they referred to it as the first.
Yes, that was weird!
She gives Caroline vibes...the hair the face..💕
This bride looked so incredible in her dress! Absolutely stunning!
Love this one - perfect! Great bride, great Mama, great friends, great consultants ❤️
They seemed to gloss over the fact that she needed the dress with A LOT of alterations in 24 hours. I liked it but for $7000 plus alterations I want it to take me out to dinner and sing me a song 😁
YES! I figured she'd be in a sample dress.
She doesn’t need the dress in 24 hours. She came to the US to find a wedding dress and had 24 hours before she had to leave to go back to Canada. The dress will take months to make, and they will ship it to her in Canada the same way they do with other brides. It wasn’t a matter of “leave with a dress”- it was “find one before we go home”
@@oliviamele4894 Must have missed that part. Good thing for her because her dress certainly needed alterations.
I just did some digging on line and found this episode was taped in 2013!
The Mississauga, Canada paper interviewed Alex when it was going to be on tv. She said they were at Kleinfelds in NYC in November and the wedding was in September the next year.
Thanks for the updated info. 2013, geez, old repeat. L
Awww how fun that’s exactly what I did!🥰 Chose the first dress (out of 3) I tried on and customized the straps😅kinda fun seeing someone else do the same!
It was actually the second dress lol. She liked the first one with all the ruching, but loved the second one
good job for the staff who did their best to make it for her
When did a strap become a sleeve?
If a client has $8k to spend, they can call a strap whatever they want and you just smile and nod.
This is the first time I've wanted to see the bride and the broom in full regalia. 💒 ❤ 💍
The "Broom"??? Did you mean the Groom?
@@jb6712
You couldn't figure that word out on your own?🙄
Probably not worth it. She married someone else in 2016 thankfully. I got bad vibes from the pairing in the video above.
@@kimm6589 She's a gold digger VERY obviously. SHE asked HIM out, and he's at least 20 years her senior. And on the show she was constantly looking for the cameras to make sure she was seen. I feel happy for the first guy that he didn't get stuck with her!
Is Randy still designing wedding gowns? If so why doesn't this show , show his designs ?? They should because he does beautiful gowns .
She met a married man. I can feel it in my bones.
They split anyway. It's all good. Seemed like an icky match honestly.
how do you know this haha - I did wonder what their age difference was lol @@kimm6589
She is re married (to someone closer her age) and has a one year old baby boy.
The venue speaks to the country club set which I'm guessing the groom belonged to. Lake st Joseph's club house isn't open to everyone driving up from Toronto!
The third dress is just gorgeous.
That was actually the second dress. She tried on three.
I don’t understand why she didn’t go back to the 1st dress they showed us (“the one to beat”). It needed no alterations and looked even better than the one she chose because it had sweetheart bling and ruching.
RUCHING.
OMG, that dress was so big on her, no alterations?!
Me, too. The first dress was better. She had plenty of time for alterations.
@@gretchenwanek8797- the very first dress fit her like a glove and had lace/beading details along the top with zero straps...
I noticed she liked the shinier dresses less. I agree - the more matte dress seemed "her" and the shiny sort of outdid her.
She looks good in both dresses.
Beautiful dress. It looked amazing on her.
I think her customisation made the dress much prettier.
No matter how long a bride has been dreaming of her big day or how much money she has, I don't get flying to another country to buy a over-marked-up dress, no matter how famous the store. You'll have to fly back for all the fittings and then transport it home
The no straps thing was added in for drama. YOu can easily add a boob cup or explore hidden tape/strapless bras
You get to be on TV. For me that would be another reason not to but there are lots of people who love attention
I was thinking that too! Why can't they just use tape? If there's no structure then the dress won't be that heavy at the top and tape should surely hold it in place?
The dress is beautiful but I can’t see spending that kind of money on a one time dress
You think this is expensive lisa you haven't seen say yes to the dress have you I have seen brides go 10 times the price as she did on say yes to the dress
Ditto!
I spent $650 on my dress and I didn’t need any alterations done to it at all and it was a white ball gown dress and I loved mine but I couldn’t imagine spending $7,000
I’ve been married for 26 years believe me the dress is worth it!
Well some people just have money to spend. So why not?
I love the straps! They made the dress.
I personally loved the straps both of the straps just took that dress on whole new level ❤ but i understand bride din wanted strap. I hope she felt better on wedding day abt the strap. The dress was elegant. I loved the second strap so much compliments the satin look❤
I like the idea of bling at the bustline, but I'm not a fan of the scalloped strapped neckline. I really like the shape on her. And the train is amazing.
I wish someone had told me that my gown wouldn't have stood up without the straps. They offered to remove the straps for me, just like here, and then on the day I couldn't keep the gown up. I was spilling out of it and had to take it off after our first dance. So disappointing.
The only worry I have is the tiny straps may be very uncomfortable. They might dig into her if they're holding up the whole gown all night. Otherwise, it's a beautiful dress!
I thought, that's not much holding up the dress.
I thought that the very first dress she tried on was perfect.
She married someone else but wore the same dress to the second wedding lol
Beautiful choice and additional beading! I only think the gown in better with material spaghetti straps, not the crystal strap over an already heavily jeweled décollete area. That makes it looked prom-ish or cheapy.
You're the first person I've seen with this comment, and it was exactly what I was thinking. Still lovely, but I wouldn't want sparkle straps AND sparkle top.
You can clearly see the disappointment in her face when she put that alternative dress.
This is how Canadians do it Canadian style. No drama Nothing
Cute. :) It is true that Canadians are stereotyped as pretty laid back. Must be a cultural thing.
Why don't these consultants actually check to make sure that these customisations can be done before telling the bride they can do it? Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm sure they do and this is just scripted for drama.
Most things can be done with enough time and money. Some alterations are easier than others
@@happyash6048 I sure hope so.
Gorgeous dress ❤
Why is she & the narrator saying "the first dress she tried on" when this is the second? The first was the rouched Panina.
The wide strap is prettier.
The Dress that Alex likes is the SECOND dress she tired on. EDIT
That thin strap looks gorgeous
I cant say I get the vibes she's mega in love with her fiance.. not much more than ".. met 3 or 4 years ago".." asked me out.."..." got down on one knee - really cute".. more excited and focused on her dress
I’m thinking she’s a trophy and he’s a paycheck!
My thoughts exactly! 😮
.... and here's another angle.
Her mother's paying $8,000 for a dress plus alterations.
Maybe she's a trophy wife because of mommy's money? 🤔
This sounds very stalkerish but according to the internet, they didn’t get married (or maybe did, but she seems to be married to someone else)
@@stephybutt oh really? Daaamn that a turn of events
Why would you wait 24hrs before the wedding to buy a dress? Why the delay?
She was going back to Canada the next day, not getting married.
She didn’t. She only had twenty four hours in New York to find a dress before she had to fly back to Canada.
She wasn't getting married the next day. She was only in New York for one day
The original straps looked so gorgeous on her
Thanks so much
Gosh I envy the decisive bride.
It looked a little droopy to me too. The first one was more becoming.
Yaaaaay this is where I’m from muskoka
Randy is a designer, so why didn’t he realize the issue with h the straps?
This episode is from 10 or 12 years ago, before Randy was designing dresses.
It was added in for drama.
she asked HIM out
She is re married (to someone closer her age) and has a one year old baby boy.
Was surprised that veteran wedding dress consultants wouldn't realize that dress couldn't be strapless.
Curious though if she needed it and 24 hours then how long would it take for the alterations were they going to be done that day or back home 💛
I think they mean she has 24 hours to choose the dress and go back after
That man is old af but I bet he has a good bank account, go girl take all his money lol 😂
Wow she really looked perfect in any of those dressed
The dress was lovely without any changes. It looked clean with cool straps.
My goodness, her fiance looks old enough to be her father.
Love at first sight of bank balance. For him, lust at first sight. 😂
Exactly what I thought. If I saw a picture of them together without context, I would assume it’s a dad and daughter posing together.
Sugar Daddy
She and her family don’t seem to be poor either so maybe it is love and not just money only. But only she would know that.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fjmaybe so but even well-off family don't want to finance their kids all their lives. She's just switching who pays for her stuff. Well, that's my pessimist view, not necessarily true
Her husband-to-be is an 'older guy' yet her MOM is paying for the dress?? Why couldn't HE pay for the dress? $8k is a lot...
why does he have to?? it is the bride's family obligation traditionally
He definitely paid for her ring 2:10. He Couldn’t isn’t the question here. She got it. She’s gorgeous in it and everyone is happy.
Sometimes the parents WANT to buy the dress.
Why does anyone other than the bride pay for her dress? That is archaic
Yeah but we live in a world where 83 year old men like Al Pacino are having babies with 29 year old girlfriends soooooo🤦♀️.
Didn’t anyone else notice his beautiful and young the mother looked.? ❤
I hold my breath and wait for a ripping sound, a shout of horror and tears when the bride steps into the dress wearing heeled shoes.😮
The dress was beautiful and perfect on her body I just think it was so simple that maybe she didn’t have to spend as much
That was her second dress. Why were they saying she found her perfect dress in the first one she tried on.
luv either straps❤
One thing i dont understand, Randy being a designer, wouldn't be know a soft bodiced dress can't support without straps. Love how they gave her options and let her make her own decision with pushing her 👏👏
she can always pay the wedding photographer to edit the straps out of all the pictures too
It seems to be more how she felt in the dress, rather than how it appeared. This episode is around 10 or 11 years old, so it no longer matters. It would have been nice to see the finished product on her, though.
That's the 2nd dress
La premiere robe est trop classe
This comment is for the sale where the bride had 2 months to find dress and plan wedding. Think her name was Andrea and she was number 11. Finally a classy gown because it looked like satin and an expensive fabric. Most of the tulle , net gowns look cheap but are complicated thus are high price. What a difference a beautiful fabric makes. ❤ 0:01
As she is going home that day, how on earth will they get the alterations done in time?
It is clear from the comments that everyone has an opinion. But this woman chose her man and chose her dress. She knows what she likes and what she wants. Good for her. I hope she has had a happy marriage
She didn't, she got married to somebody else a few years later.
@@SH-wn9xh but I think she wore the same dress, lol.
As much as I wish I could have done all of this, spending $1,000 or more is crazy but I spent $1400 on my daughter’s (in law). LOL
I can’t get over how much she gives Anna Kendrick.
Gorgeous
Consultant says "Alex tucked in the straps, but the reality is she can't wear it like that" - but it was Randy who did the tucking in, not the bride. They have some pretty icky tendencies to not accept responsiblity for their mistakes, on this show...
I saw on Tumblr that an artist named Evay drew boom sonic reading the Say Yes To The Dress narration since apparently he is the narrator. I wanted to look to see if he does a different voice but in the first second it is just sonic and now I am losing it.
This girl is young, no one seemed excited for the wedding, and it already feels cursed. lol. Wonder how it all turned out...
Ope, I found her on facebook. She married someone else in 2016. Hopefully that marriage is a happy one! (sincerely)
She is re married (to someone closer her age) and has a one year old baby boy.
WAIST STAYS! works wonders.
🛑🛑🛑Woaw, talk about May December!
She said she was into blings but none of the dresses were blingy. Also why you stopped showing Randy’s dresses?!
That’s so thoughtful of you Sahar, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
This episode is quite old, way before Randy began to show his dresses. It's around 10 or 12 years old.
Good appointment
1:23 “it was really cute”
😂😂😂. Ok yeah. She just made it obvious why she’s with this man.
I’m confused how they can do straps and beading in less than 24 hours…. But on others that are samples and built how the brides want, they can’t do other alterations for dresses that they have 2 weeks+ on.
I struggle to see the difference between the two dresses 😅
Second one fits her...first one was too big.
That was the second dress she tried on.
I see the jealousy incredible how they have no reaction to that beautiful dress she looked beautiful in all .
It was the 2nd dress😂😂😂
I love the way the dress fit her and I thought the straps were beautiful the way they were. I thought it was hilarious when she didn’t know whether it was three or four years ago. It doesn’t say much about how she feels about their relationship. Not trying to be negative but I feel like she’s more interested in getting married, then actually spending her life with this guy. I hope I’m wrong, and it works out for them. I do really love the dress though.
She definitely thinks like a man😂😂😂😂❤. Plus she made the first move. She's unconventional!
I honestly thought the pic was of her and her dad at first..
Gold to dig..
@@msdeviantdizzy I feel bad but I did too 😳
I found her because this video gave me a bad feeling about the wedding. She married someone else in 2016. Hopefully that was a better match.
