      I thought the dress he said yes to was ugly but that he said yes just to be done with the shopping. The first bride was her own worst enemy. Without a clear vision, it is no wonder that her mother and mother-in-law picked out a dress for her, and also why the consultant couldn't pick the right dress for her.

But if he's happy and content with her - there's no need to look elsewhere. And I know this, because my best friend has the same marriage. Because this is nothing but hyped up drama for the sole purpose of "entertainment." Look it up...there's not one single "reality" tv show that doesn't lie, doesn't hype up everything, and doesn't make drama where none actually exists. It's VERY WELL KNOWN that the onsite producers and directors tell the various participants to make up drama and to hype up any miniscule perceived bit of clashing.
      It's to get the gullible viewers, including YOU, to ask exactly those questions, and all of you fall into it, hook, line, and sinker, and that makes the production crew very happy. They just love gullible people who believe everything they see on tv and the Internet.

    I actually love when a bride says "This is my budget, but if I find something I love, we can discuss going over." It shows that they know what they want MAY cost more than they want to pay, but if it's worth it - they will. Brides who buckle at large price tags after they try on the dress annoy me. Like tell your consultant what you're willing to pay and they won't pull a dress over that budget unless they're not finding what you want in your price point. I just watched a video where a bride wasn't willing to pay for the more expensive dress that had everything she wanted, which wouldn't have been pulled for her if she'd told them she really would prefer not to spend that much from the beginning and she wasted the consultant's time.

    • @Tes7000
      @Tes7000 Před 25 dny +2

      For some reason, I tend to think that there is a $3,000 version of almost every $6,000 dress in the store. Giving the consultant a bigger budget is just going to lead them to pull more expensive dresses.

  • @lisadavis4279

    Ok. Like others mention below, I read gay for the 2nd bride. For both brides, of course, you want your future husband to love how you look in a dress. If he loves you, and obviously loves your personal style and look, he will love whatever you wear. However, I worry about brides who cannot make up their mind without another person approving. You should have the confidence and know your style enough to make a decision on how you want to look on that day.

    • @happyash6048
      @happyash6048 Před 26 dny +3

      You can lack confidence in one area in your life and still be fine. I was an engineer for many years (and later went into teaching.) I've lived alone, moved to new cities, and traveled the world. Yet for important events, I will have a friend help me pick out clothes to wear. They know "my" style and help me take it up a notch. You can have and recognize your own lack of fashion sense yet still be a capable, confident, successful person.

    Ohhhh Jen! If you don’t start speaking up for yourself soon, it does NOT get easier in 3 years when you realize you’ve lost your voice! I’ve NEVER heard a bride say th😢if he liked it then she can probably like it too!

    First bride I’m concerned for - first she spends thousands to people please her Mom/MIL on a dress she hates, THEN she spends thousands more on a dress she CLEARLY hates for her fiancé. I wish they hadve shown her the dress first so she could anchor in her own feelings about it. She’s going to combust emotionally in a few years if she doesn’t HURRY UP and find/acknowledge her own voice. Her husband seems to want to make her happy - they could’ve found something they BOTH truly liked!!

    It’s not really an old-fashioned thing to not have the groom with the bride when she’s picking a dress. It’s supposed to be more about surprising the groom on the day of the wedding as a happy occasion. In the sense that he will see her in the dress for the first time feeling like the luckiest man in the world.
    But having him there, takes away her independence and the happy surprise for that day..
    Both brides have no independence; relying too much on their fiancés’s opinions.
    The second bride needs a different silhouette and neckline that doesn’t make her look like a kid or an old lady. All of the dresses just didn’t really suit her and she relied too much on the fiancé’s opinion.

    It is sad that the second groom nixed the dresses seemingly without asking what the bride thought about the dresses. He nixed her favorite and she swallowed her disappointment in deference to his choice and approval. Is the second bride going to choose the groom's suit and tie?
