  • In this tutorial, you will learn How to Add a Watermark to a video in Movavi Video Editor. I show you two examples of watermarks that you can add. In the first example, I show you how to use a single logo image across the full video to brand your logo. In this example, you can take your logo image and use it a watermark branding which can make your video look professional.
    In the second example, I created a transparent logo grid watermark in PowerPoint. You will find a separate tutorial below to show you how to create your own transparent logo watermark. In this example, I use the full logo grid over top of the full video. This type of a watermark is great if you’re doing client work and want to protect your work before you get paid by the client.
    Adding a watermark in Movavi video editor is fairly simple. First you add your main video on the main track in the timeline. Next, you place the logo image on a separate track, over top of the main video track, in the timeline. You can then adjust the size and position of the logo image. And finally, render the video with the watermark logo image.
    If you’d like to use Movavi Video Editor, you can download a free version from the link below, however, bear in mind that it is limited in terms of functionality and features. @DiVaBe you're welcome. Sorry, I was not able to respond earlier because I was overseas and traveling. Regarding your question, what size is your original video and what size are you changing it to? Ideally, if you're just adding a watermark to your video, just render it at the original resolution.

      @@AnthonyGodinho Thank you for your reply. I've already managed to fix it. Apparently it was just a visual issue when previewing it, because when I exported the video, it became sharp.

      @AnthonyGodinho  Před 4 lety +1

      @DiVaBe Oh ok, that makes sense. Yes, the quality if the video in the preview section won't be the same quality because it's only a preview. I'm glad that the rendered video is the same quality of the original. Cheers!

    Just what I was looking for... Question though, double clicking the logo doesn't give me the resize option, what am I doing wrong? Or has the step changed with the new version? Using Movavi 2020 @Anthony

    • @AnthonyGodinho
      @AnthonyGodinho  Před 4 lety

      Hi Ijeoma, hope Movavi hasn't changed that option in the new 2020 version. I'm still using the older version, so I'm not sure if they have removed that option or provided another way to do this. Can you right-click on the image and choose "Edit"?
      Are you able to connect with me on my Facebook page and send me a message via Messenger with a screenshot of the options you have? Are you trying to create a single logo watermark or full transparent watermark on your video?

    Can we animate the PNG logo? Composite or layer parts of a logo to animate in.. then fade out.. I think I can imagine how this would be done... Thanks for this video Anthony

    • @AnthonyGodinho
      @AnthonyGodinho  Před 4 lety +1

      You're welcome Dan. Yes, you can do some basic fade-in and fade-out of the logo. When you double-click on the logo image, you will see the fade in/out options. And yes, you should also be able to layer parts of the logo (using a separate track), though it may be a little tricky depending on how small the logo is (in terms of layering/placement). Hope this helps...cheers!

      @Dan Jones Yes, I've used several different video editors over the past few years, even the big name ones like Camtasia and Adobe. For the types of videos that I create, Movavi has worked really great for me and I've been using it for over 2 years now.
      I'm still using the older version and it's working great. The new version 2020 has many more features and functionality. I will probably upgrade it early next year. Thanks much Dan, I appreciate the sub. And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Cheers!

      @@AnthonyGodinho Thank you so much again Anthony! It has been so pleasing to actually interact with a CZcams creator such as yourself.. I appreciate it so much. What I am ultimately attempting to recreate (Not exactly obviously..) but the simple yet animated logo. I am inspired by the clean minimalist yet animated logo we see at the beginning of this CZcamsr: czcams.com/video/lkmMtXY1aJE/video.html
      Again I do not want to do exactly but technically I want to learn how it was done.. Hopefully I can do this ultimately with this program. :)

    • @AnthonyGodinho
      @AnthonyGodinho  Před 4 lety +1

      @Dan Jones it's my pleasure Dan! :) I just checked the example of the logo animation you're trying to create. It's nice, clean and simplistic. Now, bear in mind that there is a difference between a video creator and video editor. I use both and I mostly create my animations and all that jazz in video creators, and then use Movavi as my ultimate destination for editing the final video.
      So for example, specifically for logo animations (I'm referring to the fancy ones), I use a couple of other video creators. This simplistic logo animation (your example) can be created even in PowerPoint. I'd be more than happy to assist you with it.
      That being said, Movavi has many different and cool preset text animations with which you can create these types of animations directly within Movavi during the editing process. If you check my Movavi Video Suite review video, you will see that I showcased some of these text animations.
      I avoid posting links in the comments section, but you'll find the playlist link to all my Movavi videos in this video itself or you can even check the description section. Hope this helps for now.
      P.S: I'm stepping away for an hour or so, but will check back if you have any other specific questions.

    what is the image resolution????

    • @AnthonyGodinho
      @AnthonyGodinho  Před 4 lety

      @Sweet7369 Sweet I'm assuming you're referring to the resolution of the overlay watermark image. That will depend on the size of your video. If you're using a regular rectangular (landscape) video, it's best to stick with 16:9 aspect ratio. For example, 1280x720p or 1920x1080p. For the other smaller logo maple leaf image, the resolution I used was 300x325p. Hope this helps...cheers!
