you did amazing! i’m proud to call you a part of our figure skating family!
You did incredible! You making me want to start figure skating but it sounds scary 😂
I loved everything about it! It always helps me so so much that you show your us fear and insecurity, the times something didn't work, that you can cry and just all the ups and downs. Not just a straight progression to sucess and "flawlessness". Thank you for that!
And when you went on the ice for fun I cried . You looked so happy and awesome and like you really felt yourself. I want that too and now I feel really encouraged 👧❤
(Also especially by the MMA fighting video and your ballet video. I've watched those multiple times😊)
Do Basketball next pls💖
I got shooked when she said she was 27, because she actually looks 19.
Same
Asians don’t age lol
Me too 😨😊
@@watching2341 she is not asian, BRUH
@@katkakurovska1153 India is in Asia. But she's not lol.
So happy she left buzzfeed
Look at her now
BowMaster isn’t she doing the exact kind of stuff she did while on buzzfeed? Not trying to be an asshole
Kiana Alexis she was, but at least all the money goes to her directly
She also said in some video that Buzzfeed wasn't going to let her do these types of videos. That they felt she already did enough of them or something along that line.
Watch her go m m m m m
Next should be Ryan and Shane's Unsolved
My favourite thing from this video - “I wanted to prove to myself I could do something perfect under pressure.. and what i learned was maybe I can’t do that, but what I can do, is fall under pressure and get back up.” - Michelle the most inspirational person alive.
Wow🎉
shes such a wise person from all these experiences I love her quotes
I’ve been skating for 1.5 years and I still can’t do a flip jump soo well done🎉🎉🎉
🎉
Honestly the fact that she fell and managed to get right back up and smile, even though that was literally her BIGGEST fear this video, is my favorite part
No one is going to talk about how camera man had to film on ice?
A lot of times the ice is plastic I think
@@fawnowens6801 well she talked about how cold she got and you could definitely see frost on her pants when she would fall. I don't think it was plastic. Also, this is the first time I've ever heard anything like that but I'm no expert.
They don’t have to be on ice. There are boxes they can stand and film from.
There is also a zoom in on cameras
@@sallyrobles1851 several shots the camera is moving with her. I don't understand why y'all are trying to discredit a compliment for the camera person. 🤷🏼♀️
She can’t even be upset with herself because she started off with not being able to skate at all and now she’s here.
Exactly
I can’t even stay properly on the ice 😂
Harry Potter same 😂😂
I start skating at 4 (Canadian XD) but I never be able to jump. She was amazing. And knowing that a lot of my friend can't stop on ice or do the cross and she got it in that amount of time is incredible.
true
I felt it when you said, "I hate feeling like there's a time limit." It sucks knowing that life is short, and you haven't really done much and you're already halfway through adulthood. I'm just so glad that you're pushing yourself to do these things even if you don't feel the best. I admire you and I hope you look back and feel satisfied with the effort you put into yourself and your viewers.
She advanced so quickly! As a figure ice skater it took me 3 years to learn a flip so the fact she made it in 2 months just shows how much she accomplishes and does for her youtube&herself
how old were you when you started skating?
9! Im 15 now
Imagine her getting a job and there’s literally so many things in her resume
Edit:Holy I didn’t expect alot of likes 🥺 thank u for all of the likes
That's what I thought 😂
Ice skating for a few weeks isn't something you put on your resume 😂 Sorry
@@evab.6240 I haven't finished watching the video yet, but she is training for a competition, so if she gets anywhere from first to third place, do you know how impressive that would be to put on a resume? "Got 2nd place in a competition only after 8 weeks of training, not knowing how to skate prior". That's awesome!
@@Rose-lz2et It wasn't a real competition, it was just for the video.
@@aspannas Well I still think that is super impressive, I think it's great to have so many things on your resume because it makes you more attractive than someone who has been working at target for 3 years. She has experience in so many fields and people love seeing that.
When she was crying about not being confident I felt that
Bri s saaaaaaaaaame 😭🤧
i swear i just saw you in the comments of alx james’ gabbie video?
As a figure skater I was personally REALLY impressed with Michelle. She took 6 weeks to oearn all of these moves from scratch while it took me aroung 1 whole year! Michelle really has made A LOT of progress in her skating.
Take in consideration that she already have body training like her flexibility was already enough for that routine and she had the pressure of learning for a challenge and also she was being trained by Olympic athletes, not saying this to make her look like her achievements were not important, but to let people that are willing to learn know that is not that easy and you will fall, cry, and work a lot to get at a near point, and you can’t give up!
@@BAmelia2316are you trying to make it seem like she didn’t work hard or something Michelle isn’t that flexible
@@LundynsLoveheartu you must be blind bro I literally said that i was not saying that to undervalue her work here but to let people that are new in any sport know that her situation is very different that the place that you will be as a regular beginner, and I know that she is not that flexible is not like I didn’t see this video but she was flexible enough to get to a skill good enough to pull this quicker
Marsha’s story filled my heart with mixed emotions, it’s so sweet that she started when her husband died and held the memory of him thinking that it looked amazing watching a ice skater with her. But it’s so heartbreaking her husband died and that’s when she started that feeling must have loomed on her for a bit “why couldn’t I have started when he was around to watch” must’ve turned into “he is here watching me in spirit (if she’s religious probably something like he is watching down on me from heaven) and that feeling must send warmth into her while she skates. There’s passion from her blades sent shivers like he was right there with her happy for her and she could feel his energy with her ❤ it’s so bittersweet
When she falls, the guy is there so fast I feel like he teleported.
Gotta love that guy
on some edward cullen type shit
Friday yep.

It was homestly really sweet that he went over that quick to help her

I am so PROUD of Michelle for this. Every single time she manages to just be even more incredibly and dedicated and proves that you really can do anything you put your mind to. This literally almost made me cry how well and beautifully done she on her performance. She’s doesn’t just do the challenges half heartedly but puts her all into and executes well every time. Loved this episode 💜
This was my dream and Michelle is living it for me! People think that figure skating is easy,no its not easy its incredibly hard and Michelle is doing it beautifully ☺️
@@troepvanerik5880 idk some people
Do people r really think this? 8-O
@@mariemaier5630 I think that some people may think its very easy until they try it
Remember this: you’re never too old to start ANY sport, because in 10 years you’re gonna look back and say “god, I wish I had started back then instead of thinking I was too old, because right now, I could’ve learned SO much”
Dumb bitch Ray very true. i’m 16 and starting to skate. when i was 12, i thought i was too old and never went through with it. now i wish i did. who knows how far i could’ve gone now? so i want to start before i regret not starting even more.
@@veganmocha lol 16 is still young
@@SeNsiTiviTy00 people told me that if you're over 12 and just started skating now you're to old
Now I lost my self-confidence lol
16 isn't too old. If you start at over 12 you probably won't compete at GPF or World championships as most who start at 4 can't even make it there or olympics but it's not impossible. There's a first time for every thing and hard work can induce miracles!!
When i was 14 i wanted to start dance but was too embarrassed to as i thought i was too old, now i wish i would have started at 14 as i would have years of experience by now. Just think, say you started at 17, by Michelle's age (27) you would already have 10 years of experience. It takes about 10 years to become good at something normally like a language or sport so i say at 16, start everything you want to do now so that when you're 26 you won't be saying "i wish i started at 16" you'll have 10 years experience in it!!
When she said, "I hate feeling like there's a time limit"... I felt that.
Omg SAME.
literally what school revolves around.. time limits
it sucks.
Yes, I struggle with this alot and I'm not even that old😅 14 yrs
Esther Kim SAME. I’m the same age as you ;-;
Yeah well if you wanna get good... if you don’t train enough then you run out of time and lose your chance to succeed. Similar in every sport really.
This video is the reason I started figure skating at 26! I just revisited it now, two years later, and I am beyond thankful to Michelle for giving me the confidence to start this. I suck, and I am reminded every time I'm on the ice that I suck but it's still really fun and I absolutely love it.
I've been skating for 13 years so when you landed a flip in 2 months I was really impressed.
As a figure skater, I don’t think people realize how quickly she advanced. 2 months and she already landed her flip jump. Way to go Michelle!!!
I completely agree although she does have an Olympic coach speaking from experience here I've only been skating three years and just finished MY flip
It took me 2 years to land a flip jump!
It took me 6 months to land a flip jump but I have background sports with cheer
Kota Cove oh at that time I had none
Isn't she already an elite athlete? Not that they are similar, but she placed nationally in cycling. That gives me the impression that she's very athletically gifted and also has the psychology to go very far in a short period of time.
Michelle is what i imagine my parents wanted their daughter to be like
Parents should be proud of their children whether they learn ice skating in one week or not
LasIvories for me my parents arent like that lol
haha so funny
LasIvories my parents aren’t like that
Maybe they did, but I can almost guarantee that they're still happy with whatever they got
When she says ‘You rush it because you’re stressed out,’ I genuinely felt that. Because it’s exactly what I do. I did a competition a few days ago, and during practice everything was great, but I fell on a double toe because I rushed.
I grew up figuring skating and competed at the senior level. It was my entire life. To do this in two months it’s amazing!
"If you're not living on the edge, you're taking too much room"
wow
Isla that was just amazingly described

One thing I should remember while skating:
I have knees.
They bend.
That is one thing I could never seem to remember
Omg the opposite of gymnastics
Except when you stick it
Yes, or just.. Drop your butt. You don't even need to bend your knees, just drop your butt.
My coach:
BEND!!
BEND MORE!
FEEL YOUR EDGES!
DEEPER EDGES!
POINT OUT!
Figure skating is very hard and takes a lot of determination, and this is coming from a dancer. Respect
As a figure skater I would like to say how well you did , this was my favourite of your videos , people think this is easy but really it’s not . Well done! ( btw , I’m ten and a level 6 ice skater)your awesome, an inspiration and I love you.
I expected Lloyd to be a little strict...he's actually funny and friendly
i'm guessing you watched ice princess way too many times lmao

I feel like the timeframe for this competition was so short it’s tough. Might as well just try to make the best out of a few small moves.
When I still took classes, my coach terrified me. XD
Why is nobody talking about Marsha. That woman stole my whole heart
Yeah she was a boss!
She was so sweet too right after she comes up and is smiling like no tomorrow saying how fun that was and how proud of herself she was. I lived to have that level of confidence
Hana Marek she made me cry, women hold back so much to take care of their family. Once the husband dies, they dare to go out and do what they truly want!

I am so very grateful that I found your channel, Michelle. I have binge watched a ton of them and can truthfully say that I have cried along with you. I don't know you and you don't know me, but every time I see you conqure your fears and keep going, I have an overwhelming sense of pride. You are an amazing human. Thank you for taking risks, showing us the true and sometimes not always pretty sides of each challenge.
Wow the ending of this video brought me to TEARS ♥️ so inspiring watching her journey. Watching all her the self-doubts just disappear when it was showtime… AMAZING 😭 thank u Michelle for being so transparent about all her feelings going through all the motions. She is such an inspiration to everyone to seize every opportunity learning new things. I just started binge watching Michelle’s vids and she is so impressive how quickly she adapts and she has to be the fittest person on earth!!
Watching this as a Paralympic alpine skier I have to say it’s amazing how you progressed and it truly shows the lessons I’ve learned over the years. My specialty is slalom and one of the things you find out over time is that you will never have a perfect slalom race. No matter what you are going to make mistakes. It’s so quick and you have almost no time to think so all you can do is trust your own abilities to counteract any mistake you make. The hours of training and effort that go in behind the scenes for that one competition is something most people don’t see. There’s a lot of sacrifice and struggle as you push towards that goal. You have to sacrifice in order to push forward and it’s great to see you show even a small taste of what that is like. When I was in middle and high school I drove an hour and a half almost every weekend to train with better coaches than were available in my hometown. I don’t have any lasting friends from high school really because of that, but the sacrifice was worth it when I got to compete on that world stage for the first time. Now I continue to strive to be better and see what else I can achieve in my sport. Hopefully everyone else who sees this can use it in their own life as motivation to keep pushing themselves further than they ever thought they could.

Hey Michelle after seeing this I am just in complete awe of your perseverance. Seeing you trying and trying even on your worst days inspired me so much. Seeing you fall and then get right back up and ultimately secure the second position made me realize that it's not how you did or how many people liked it but rather about the satisfaction that you had after giving your hundred percent on that stage. I am on my own challenge right now... trying to regain confidence in horse riding, and 'save' a horse who has been deemed dangerous. it's something I use to do so easily, but after a serioius fall from another horse... I lost all the confidence in myself and fear has set in.
I fell from a horse about 8 years ago, was in ICU and lost all my confidence to compete, or even ride a horse again. It's been a long slow and hard journey to get back to even getting ON a horse, where as I use to be fearless! and ride even the most difficult and troublesome horses, often fixing their problems and sometimes saving their lives! But ... now... it's hard for me to even ride an easy horse.

I've got addicted to ice skating over the last 5 months of my life, I genuinely find being on ice to be one of the most relaxing yet fun things I ever find myself doing, and ever since coming into uni almost 2 months ago now, I immediately joined the ice skating society and started routinely skating twice a week in hopes of getting to a decent level at figure skating... sorry for the needless exposition, but I think it's cause of that that I enjoyed watching this video so much. Genuinely the drive showed by Michelle, the highs and lows, the supportive instructors and the excellence of the progress had me elated when she won that silver 😭😭😭, 4 year old video yet it inspires me so much today, love to see it
This was the best challenge video ever. So happy for you. You put in the hard work and got beautiful results. Congratulations you deserve it all.
Ok but imagine skating your whole life then getting beat by someone who started 8 weeks ago

Because it’s fake probably
Only in movies
Remeber how much time she spent on trainings and she has got wonderfull teacher... I also can't believed in that but maybe it's not fake
She may beat people who started as adults, even if they've skated a few years, as everyone learns at their own pace, but I don't think she's doing better than anyone whose been skating their whole life (and are the same age as her.)
As a figure skater I can only imagine how much all this training must have cost... especially with the coaches she has.

I think she’s like a biking champion
He's a coach at the rink she mentions at the end of the video. Figure skating isn't a *huge* sport due to the limited number of rinks and the high cost, and doing it professionally eats up the years of your life that most people use getting degrees/starting careers. Because of that, many retired figure skaters end up as coaches, choreographers, or announcers. So it's not quite as uncommon to see an Olympian teaching at a local rink as it would be to see, say, a retired NFL athlete teaching at a local school.
her team can contact these people for these videos
Money.
Well she’s a popular CZcamsr...
michelle is soo inspiring. She's also so real, and includes her mistakes while also showing that mistakes happen to everyone and they're okay to make :) ilysm michelle
I loved the performance part because you learned ALOT in such a short period of time usually it takes several years to learn these moves. Having an Olympic coach, and choreographic coach it really made you get better fast and it took a lot of perseverance for you to get used to the workouts and that amazing. Going everyday training does help a lot too. I hope you continue figure skating lessons it was fabulous. What an amazing experience you must of had training with these coaches.
I cried seeing 66 yro Marsha on ice with such joy, and hearing her story!
I’m crying too! Such an inspiring person
I cried too!! I thought being 25 could be too old to start acting but in definitely taking classes soon
Instantly.

I love this channel. Always puts a smile on my face! You and your team are awesome!
Omg Michelle I am so happy and proud of you! You did so great as a figure skater and I can not believe you did that because it was so good even though you fell a couple times you just got right back up and that's ok falling helps you learn! Good job I was so happy you got 2nd place.💓
"Remember you have knees. They bend." My coach says something along these lines almost every lesson XD
My dance teacher said that once when I was doing allegro. I kept on having straight legs and she just got so so angry
Sameee. They open their mouth and you know it’s gonna be “BeNd YoUr LeGs”
I'm teaching a friend to roller skate and I am constantly finding myself saying that!! it's so much easier to balance if you do
My dance teacher Always yells at me for bending my knees when I do an Arabesque or balancing or something xD
Rowan I do gymnastics and figure skating. In gymnastics I have to keep my legs straight and in skating I have to keep them bent.
Her speech about feeling to old to do things HIT ME. I’m only in my mid teens and yet I still constantly feel like it’s too late for me to get as good at certain things as the people who’ve been doing it since birth. Especially in musical theatre.
I feel you, I also am in musical theatre and I really like it but sometimes it is discouraging since I haven't been doing it for to long. But it's never to late to start ANYTHING. So keep going, if you love musical theatre don't stop doing it 😼
Same..
I learned to figure skate when I was 19. I was competing against kids literally half my age. Along the way I met a lady who started learning to skate in her 60's.
You're never "too old", and it's only "too late" once you're dead. While you're still breathing, keep going. "Comparison is the thief of joy"
Luubelaar that’s so motivational...
Halo Kay you’re suuuper young, im 18 and barely have time but im starting as well :) do not worry too much! you’re young, beautiful and have time to practice! i’m rooting for u, 🥰🥰🥰
This video was so inspiring and special! I grew up as a competitive figure skater and have to say how truly impressive your improvement was in such a short amount of time! Skating holds so many emotions for me... of determination, confidence, and moments of feeling proud of you accomplishments, regardless of if things are perfect or not... just like you showed in your competition. Thanks for sharing this journey. You should be so proud! :)
Hi Michelle! I recently found out about your channel and i've been binged watching all your vids. I love the courage in you and how i wish i can do the same as you. I can relate to when your growing older this fears keeps building up. That is where i am right now. Wish i've done many things when i was younger ♥ And hope to overcome all my fears in life. You're an inspiration! ♥I'm hit, I'm so touched and got teary on this one.
You should do “ I trained like a professional horseback rider” or “I trained like a competitive cheerleader” next
I would love either one of these!!
Yes to both, but especially the horseback riding one!!!
Equestrian would be awesome
ouu cheerleader! learning flips or tumbles!
Laiah Aguilar yeeees we need horse riding!!!
As a figure skater who has been doing it for nine years since I was three, I really don't think people are realizing at all how quickly Michelle advanced in only two months.
O goodness I've been skating for 8 years since I was about 5 and it took me HALF A YEAR to learn and perfect my flip jump she did it in 2 months 💀😳
@@dianakhryapkina1474 I know right😳💜
Then again she did have an Olympian figure skater as her teacher
I think it also helps she is so fit and strong!
i’m a ballet dancer and you’re right!
the DETERMINATION towards it is AMAZING.
I grew up in Montréal and saw Lloyd & Isabelle so many times. You were great and so is this video of heart & perseverance Michelle :)
Thank you

Michelle is the type of girl in school that everyone is jealous of bc she so perfect but you can’t be mad at her bc she really is so nice
you guys are close with each other? 🤔
@@mariosandejas2579 no but I luvvv watching her vids and she is sooo nice in each one so yea💕❤️
Trueee omgggg she is so niceee
so true tho
Why do you think you have the right to get mad at someone for a non-sense reason?
Failure is the only reason we succeed; that’s because failure motivates.
Abigail Powell I need to realize this in my dancing. I needed to hear that. Thank you!
Skyla Phillips you’re welcome
Learning not to fear or hate failure but to embrace it as an inevitable and necessary part of the process is so vital to succeeding and just being happy in general. It took me too long to figure this out.
Ahhh this was absolutely incredible!!! As a learner inline skater, this has given me so much more courage to keep pushing and not worry so much about falling in front of people. I also am really wanting to try ice skating out now!!!! You took the whole challenge with grace and commitment. Really encouraging
I LOVE that you can see the growth as soon as she found her confidence. I know I’m late to the game on this video but it’s so inspiring.
I just love how she’s
so serious doing these kinds of
things, not goofing around or playing.
She respects what they do and is genuinely
curious on how they do what they do.
Yeah I have respect because I know a ton of people who would goof off
Bro i read this as "I trained as an Olympic street fighter."
Don't ask how.
