.....so basically, the build up of carbon restricts the shutter valves from moving freely- opening and closing. This new constant resistance eventually wears down on the gear wheel teeth. So you'd want to clean it out regularly. I have ordered a new throttle body/anti-shudder valve. I removed the cover on that and it was full oil.... gear wheels and electronics all covered.
