The most graceful yet beauty with brains kind of Sultana-kosem! She was never like hurrem who killed mahedevran son. She gave right to halima to enthrone her son though she could have enthroned her son instead. When halima betrayed her she turned against which is quite natural response to anything. She always had sense of right n wrong plus she was always there with a kind heart. We can never compare her powerful regime full of controversies n bloodshed with hurrem whose sole purpose was sultan’s love thats it. Hurrem wasn’t able to see any of her sons on throne but this lady alone ruled for 10yrs until murad grown up. Powerful sultana indeed

Because this is the era of women's power, so the sultans are just puppets
becuz of suleiman himself, he made his drunkard son selim sit on the throne instead of his competent sons Mustafa and bayezid. Becuz of one incompetent king, the rest took after him. Suleiman was insecure and he didn't want his sons to be as good as him, this is why he killed Mustafa, as soon as he realized the janissaries and the people loved him, he killed Mustafa as he saw him as a competition. He wanted an obedient son not a competent one and selim was the most submissive compared to his other sons, so he killed everyone and made him the heir. Suleiman was a good ruler but he was a selfish father (which unfortunately all sultans were but suleiman more so becuz he didn't cared about the impact it would have on the dynasty).
