Kosem forgiving Osman ( while touching of course) was rushed and didn’t felt right, don’t forget Osman previously told he would execute her if she didn’t have the army support so this scene felt undeveloped sure like I said it was well acted but realistically speaking Kosem would have definitely dethrone Osman immediately after dealing with Halime

28:24 for those who are Murad fans, Osman apologized to valide sultan and she accepted it. She tried to save him so don't tell us later otherwise, the proof is here.

Imagine if Murad was older what he would have done in Dilruba.
    Horrible move to Dilruba
Ayse Sultana is a true help and refreshing compared to other Blood Sultanas (neither snobby, mass murderer, hypocrite and she is very intelligent) much like Humasah.
Halime realizes too late the damage done on Dilruba and the consequence to have exposer her in political scheming since her young age.

In fact when his son died Osman blamed Meylişah for his death and banished her (horrible thing to do and wrone Suleiman who blamed Mahidevran for Mustafa's death, the only difference is that Suleiman's cruelty was more calculated there or that of 16 year old Osman without apologizing was more impulsive).
Osman, however, forced the Şeyhülislam to give his daughter to him in marriage hoping that this would force him to stay on his side( as he was always in conflict with him). Lots of mistakes led him to his destiny like the campaign he made and some horrible move (which means that I don't consider him a misunderstood genius) but at the same time he was alone and very young in this difficult position (which means that I refuse to compare him to absolute nullities like Murad III, Mehmed III and Ibrahim)
In fact when it is realstic to see the attempt murders on sehzade ( and maybe Sah the daughter of Halime was involved) it is safe to think that it didn't happen that stupid way

@Leo I don't think he deserved it ( in fact we're all agreed that no deserved to be killed like these) and he was not worst as human than Suleiman, Murad III or Mehmed III ( at least Osman try to be brave in the campaign not like Murad or Mehmed)
I just try to make what we can a charge and defense to him

suleiman really did kill mustafa on his own, this series just blames women for what the men did. Theres no historical proof of either hurrem killing Mustafa or kosem killing her sons, suleiman killed Mustafa out of jealousy while kosems sons died of natural causes of becuz of their own stupidity like in the case of Ibrahim

    Su birikintileri ince buzla kaplı,
    Sanki buz saf maviymiş gibi.
    Artık parlamıyor, dönmüyor
    Çürümüş yapraklar.
Gönülde ne hasret ne de sevinç,
    Ama onda da huzur yok:
    Bahar tatlılığı nasıl unutulur
    Geçmiş yılların ışıltısı hakkında? ..
