nope.
I'm a teacher. More than 50% of my students can't remember what's said at the beginning of a sentence when the sentence finishes. Technology has been a huge problem.
It also needs to be pointed out that college educated adults tend to forget how dense the majority of their elementary school classmates were then they themselves were in what used to be called grade school. Also, when I got out of the navy where I was in the NAVOPS division on a nuclear submarine I taught parochial junior high. The kids were incredibly dense at math in at least one third of the cases. They really couldn’t even pass the entrance exams of the nearby Catholic high schools and thus were forced to abase themselves by transferring to the public schools for high school.
I don't think technology is the problem, if I was raised without the internet I wouldn't gain 80% of the knowledge and genuine friends I have today, especially when I'm raised in Vietnam (we literally has almost zero therapist and the shittest knowledge about mental help known to man, I'd be DEAD before I even reach the age of 14)

I know right. As someone who lives in a third world country, Gen A kids here compete for the highest marks in tests so that in future they can get into universities in the UK.
I think it's some type of developmental degeneration. As a country gets richer and richer it has more and more demands on the general populace who can only sacrifice so much demands that children naturally require.

gentle parenting isnt permissive parenting nor dismissive parenting
From what I've seen and heard about it, it's just parenting where instead of beating their child they acknowledge why they are screaming and help them solve their problem while teaching them alternatives to screaming and to just communicate their worries properly. Gentle parenting shouldn't be equated to child neglect
That's so true
It’s honestly annoying that it’s called “gentle” parenting, because there’s nothing “gentle” about it. You’re literally just being a grown adult and taking accountability for properly raising the kids you decided to have. I guess compared to clubbing children with sticks it’s “gentle”?
Came to say the same. A lot of CZcamsrs talk about this phenomenon of “permissive parenting” under the name of “gentle parenting”. They are two very different things, the fact that a lot of people take the name and say what they are doing is “gentle parenting” while essentially not parenting doesn’t mean that that is gentle parenting. It would be helpful to change the name to respectful parenting. Boundaries are paramount with any parenting technique, the lack of it is the lack of parenting. Guiding children when the village doesn’t exist is hard, so a lot of people throw in the towel and either give them an iPad, barely parent or react like children to their children and forgo placing boundaries. Because it’s much easier to ignore and react annoyed.
The problem with gentle parenting is that isn’t always simple. Most of the time isn’t easy. And most of people can’t do it correctly. The result is kids being demanding and throwing tantrums all over the place., and don’t forget the violence.
This happening with my nephew. He’s only four. But he already act violent and screams when he don’t having his way.
I firm and direct no. Can help a lot in the early ages to make sure that this kid understands that in the end of the day the parents have the final say.

There's a lot of kids of teen parents as a result of a spike in teen pregnancies in 2000-2010's. No doubt those are the parents the type to neglect their children. Idk why they should represent an entire generation, though. Just like iPad parents don't represent all of the parents of Gen Alpha. I agree that it's not just iPads, but unrestricted access to them that is the problem. My siblings and I had a shared iPad growing up, but we never got more than an hr on it per day, and we played outside or with toys the rest of the time.
Growing up my sister and I shared a computer, then an iPad when we got a little older, only really having unfettered access to the internet by the time we both got our own smartphones end of middle school/early high school. The internet is unironically really great and was an incredible space for someone who is a curious minority like myself, but only if the child is given the opportunity to experience reality first.
Same my sis is gen alpha but we are from eastern europe not usa that could be why
I use to be this way, i barely used my devices unless i was putting it in the phone holder (it’s suppose to act as a tv) of my barbie doll house.
Me and my sister used our devices to record us making slime, watching movies, playing tag, or stuff on vine.
She moved out at 16, we are 5 years apart.
I was left lonely, and still now.
Shes 18 now.
I can confirm its more fun when you have someone to play with.
I lost my social skills when she left cause I no longer had a good human interaction with someone close in my age group. 😕
So i can confirm constant screentime is brain rotting and is 100% breaking our social skills.😢
It's not just that. I mean you can use an iPad to teach your child how to read or play educational games etc. Like unlimited time with an iPad if you only have access to idk kindle, a crossword game and duolingo is not going to "ruin" a kids development either.
Which is what I find so frustrating. If you decide that you want to give your kids an iPad/tablet to have a break or whatever that's fine. But you can literally control what they have access to. if you don't want to limit screen time just limit the apps/internet access. It's really not that difficult :(
I didn't get a phone until i was 12 and even then it was one of those tiny phones that are like...half the size of normal phones these days..and honestly it was more than enough
as a girl who's turning 14 this year, i can confirm that we're not all braindead. i refuse to believe that i 'm part of this generation.😭

my mum sees this daily teaching 7-8 year olds. kids are coming to school not even fully potty trained at 7, they can barely read and write too. Parents of this generation are introducing children to stuff that is way too mature for them at their age without even teaching them the necessities, I literally saw a four year old vaping the other day. I can't even imagine what gen alphas kids will be like
4 year old? VAPING?
WTF!?!??!?!? A 4 YR VAPING?!????????!
We were talking in my Spanish class about how some Spanish words sound similar to English words and have similar meanings and I ask my teacher if “vecindario” (neighborhood) would would count since it was similar to vicinity, and she says “Yeah! I wasn’t sure if people knew what the word vicinity was, so I didn’t point it out.” They’re in HIGH SCHOOL. They should know the word “vicinity”. Even in my English class, people ask what words like “suitor” mean. They only know ONE language and they can barely read it.
No way 😭
I'm in 6th grade and I know what those words mean. This generation is doomed.
It’s dire. And it seems like it gets worse every year. I’m a 2004 kid + we had issues with kids not knowing what paragraphs were in high school but at least they knew basic vocabulary. I talk to some high schoolers in online hobby forums and they are horrifyingly uneducated
Im in 7th grade and English isn’t my main language (sorry if my grammar is bad) I confirm alpha gen may ruin the nexts generations if the parents aren’t doing anything
It's hard to know exactly which words the average English speaker would know, so I think it's fair for the Spanish teacher to do that. "Suitor" is also a kind of unusual word that isn't used often in everyday conversations that aren't about historical stuff, and it seems like it might mean someone who makes suits, so I could see a high schooler being confused by it. I don't think those 2 incidents are indicative.
I have autism and learned difficulties (diagnosed), when I was at 3rd year of secondary school my vocabulary level was similar to an 8 years old. I had to work harder than regular people at school and fortunately managed to finish my master degree. Those kids and teens have the ability to learn and they trashed it.
Real I had to take a special ed class for english for almost my entire elementary year and now I'm up to the point where I surpass my peers it's really sad
I don't care. I make superior content😂😂
I just commented a very similar thing. Its so sad how these children could have such big potential but their parents just let them trash it. They let the kids dropout, or just not care about school.
Jesus loves you ❤ praying for you and praying for healing in all ways❤️🩹
You can’t blame a child with no guidance or maturity to know the reasoning for their actions. You just can’t really expect them to act like adults. It’s their adults that act like kids and treat their kids like friends instead of being proper mentors. Millennials are definitely becoming more and more the undisputed worse parents, and as social media obsession and lack of individuality or morality goes on, gen z are gonna be worse.
It’s well-mannered individuals against society at this point, don’t follow the crowd, because society is destructive now, it’s not of good influence like in the past, it’s the truth
i went to La Quinta resort in palm springs for spring break, and while we were there, we ate at the mexican restaurant they have. our waiter literally was so impressed and commented on my little brother reading a book instead of being on an ipad. it made me really sad. :(
I’m a Gen Alpha, and sure, there is a fair share of kids in my generation who are like this, but more of the problem is that they just don’t want to learn AT ALL.
As a homeschooled Gen Z, I knew how to read at four. FOUR YEARS OLD. I'm literally terrified to think that these people are going to be running the world/taking care of me when I'm old. By the way, your videos are so wise and amazingly done!
Homeschooling is the solution fr.I was homeschooled too
I LEARNED HOW TO READ AT 3 and like seeing this is like killing me jnside 😭🙏🏻🙏🏻
oh my gosh same. I was homeschooled and reading at four and I loved books! I am honestly so scared of what the world will look like in twenty years.
I am a millennial and learned to read at 3 because my mom worked in education and taught us every day regardless of how tired she felt. We were poor but back then you didn’t need to work 5 jobs to make rent so she could spend her “free time” teaching us. My weekends were often spent in a library or museum or the park with my mom and big sis. She would do math drills while we played in the playground. Literally we did anything educational that was free or really cheap cause it was our entertainment. We were super lucky.
@@janaehari53 never been homeschooled before but i feel like homechooling isn't something most people can do. for some people it'll work but i don't think most parents have the time or resources to homeschool their kids nowadays. I got a friend who's sibling is getting homeschooled but from what they've told me, they aren't really learning anything since no one in their family can dedicate enough time to really help them learn.
Just listening to audio books while reading the same book is a great way to learn how to read.
Yeah or your parent reading to you while you look at the book. That’s what my mom did.
Being read to in person would be best (kids can ask questions & engage with the story as well as be taught to pronounce things correctly) though I agree! I have been reading and being read Japanese picture books on my ipad through various apps, it has been fun!
It is good way if you are learning foregin language if you can speak in that but not read
It's helps if you have dyslexia
This is such a clever way to do your hair! When it grows back it still fits the design so beautifully. Love it
This was terrifying but incredibly insightful. Thankyou for speaking on these topics.
I'm a Gen Z, and really I think it's more about being a good parent than it just being because of the gen the kids are in. I believe that some of the Gen Alpha kids can be good, IF they have good parents.
Perhaps millennials are more focused on the aesthetics of children rather than actually parenting.
@@yanyingya Honestly that makes a lot of sense
Agreed :3
Yes! Preach it, sister! It's nice to see someone stand up for my Generation, though I genuinely feel a good 50%, maybe even higher is doomed.
You need more than good parents when you are trying to learn in school.
As someone that is on the younger side of gen-z (2010) I find this crazy. Kids in the grades lower than me barely know the basics of everyday things like reading. They are so obsessed with looking young and using ADULT skincare, and it effects their learning abilities. Thanks for reading my rant lol
So you could be gen alpha too? Because it starts in 2010 I think. But you are also gen z because gen z ends in 2012. It's so confusing.
@@doggo7166Yeah gen alpha and gen z’s starting point is pretty much debatable, because people say that gen z ends at 2010, while others say it ends at 2012

Every Gen Alpha I’ve seen knows how to read
I was at my friend’s house and her little sister said I looked like an anime waifu 😭
😭
Gen Alpha starts in 2012 and my younger cousin is a part of it, she’s genuinely one of the most intelligent children I’ve met and I feel so bad that her generation is genuinely known for being “dumb”, hoping gen alpha isn’t as bad as it seems
6 years ago Gen Z became best known for eating laundry detergent. How many of them do you think actually consumed a Tide pod? Gen Alpha is not dumber than any other generation before.
I hope not!! I’m gen alpha and the ipad kids and sephora 11 year olds definitely do exist, that doesn’t make them all bad. I have lot of hobbies that people would not expect a 12 year old gen alpha to have, like bass guitar and taekwondo etc. Gen alpha certainly has a gotten a bad rep from the internet, and constant exposure to that media is definitely making it worse.
I'm definitely part of the intelligent part of the generation, and I don't thing it's gonna get harder to achieve that.
@@happydragon1611 same

I think we need to give gen alfa their time . Like they're literally out the womb moved into a fresh new grey appartment and we're already putting expectations on them .
Give them time maybe they'll turn out ok . Just please take the iPad away ...
Yes, I think putting blame on the kids is not the right way to go- its the parents, stupid fricking parents oh god...
They need better parenting
I'm gonna point out the older part of the generation (I'm in the 6th grade range) needs help. I've been asked how to spell "important" before.
this exactly. they also just went through a significant period learning online because of the pandemic. The oldest one is like 11. People not giving them a chance before they've even started. Looking like a self-fulfilling prophecy calling a bunch of children from the ages or zero to 11 all these bad things...they ain't even lived yet.
Another option is turning the iPad into a tool, replacing the screen time used on CZcams with reading books on the iPad. I wonder if maybe just using the iPad instead of a physical book would lncrease their incentive to read.
As a Gen Alpha, I assure you that some of us can read here in the Philippines.
I love how you talk! Its very calming and easy to listen to❤
i feel like a genius for being fluent at 3 languages and beeing gen alpha😭😭theres these guys in my class and they do not know how to read at all, so when we're popcorn reading they always take up the whole time trying to proccess a single word. we are all 12 to 13 by the way.
Nice I only know 2 languages as gen alpha
I know 4 languages as a late gen z/gen alpha, But I'm not fluent in 2 of those languages (Chinese and Arabic).
I am not fluent in any other languages, but I have a great, fluent vocabulary in English, thanks Asperger's Syndrome for helping me learn and not end up like those other people that have low literacy even though they make fun of Autism.

It took me years and thousands of dollars to get a degree in teaching and child psychology and my first month as a teacher made me regret it all. I quit after a year. Society is a mess, the pandemic messed up a lot of kids development and parents did not adjust well. The kids can't concentrate, their brains all desire constant stimulation through a screen, they don't want to learn unless it's fed to them as a fun tidbit of stimulation with loud sounds and bright colors. My year 5 kids were reading at a year 2 grade, the parents didn't work with their kids, and the kids didn't care (which I don't blame them, they've been conditioned into this). The teachers are getting punished by the bosses and the parents, there is a reason so many teachers are leaving. There is zero reward for teaching right now- we aren't helping kids get where they need to be, we aren't paid enough, we are working so many hours unpaid, and the schools do not support us. We can't be therapists, teachers, and parents all on a salary of 35k a year. It is physically and mentally destroying us. Society needs to change.
As a gen alpha, I agree 😞
They're only paying you 35k per year? And you had to get a degree? I'm on a factory clean up crew that requires no degree and I make 32k!

This is becoming a genuine concern that needs to be addressed.
I am a millenial mom and believe me, you have no idea how strange some people look, especially other women or moms, when you discipline your child. And I'm not talking about violence or screaming, I'm talking about telling your kid "no". Also a thing that happened a few days ago: I was at a festival and me and my daughter needed to use the toilet, so we entered and we wanted to use the first stall then I noticed that it was for the people with special needs, and I told my daughter this. She asked me about it, and I told her that it's not ok to use this stall. Some kids that were waiting there heard me and the mom of one of them told her girl to enter the first stall and the girl started saying "but it's not ok for us to-", and the mother cut her off with "shut up and enter now!". Some parents are so mean and uncaring man...
At least where I live, in most bathrooms there is a stall that’s wheelchair accessible (the only difference is it’s bigger than the other stalls). You are still allowed to use this stall, I just imagine if there was someone actually in a wheelchair you would let them use it before you
I have too been raised as an "ipad kid", as I am born in 2010.I slowly became a lil bit crazy like those kids in the video, started to watch tiktok 8 hours a day, but as I grew up I realized its not good for me, so i began challenging myself.I put limits to my games and instagram, deleted tiktok and tried to focus more on my hobbies and interests.Im glad i did it.I wrote this comment for those people who are not aware of this serious problem with gen Alpha.Plus, its not good for the little kids to be given ipads, most cases of depression are because of TikTok or other social media platforms.

Fr. I’m a gen z right at the cut off (some might consider me a cusper, gen cusp is the generation between two generations of any two specified generations) so I’m a 7th grader too. Idk about the regular classes but the advanced is doing fine. We all score at above profic on the same state tests older gen zoomers and even millennials took. I score at 10.2(grade 10 month 2) on my english state tests. Although there are some really dumb kids tbh… my cousin can’t read, she’s 12 🥶 homeschooled by bad parents tho so it’s not her fault i think..
You kids are doing just fine. I'm a gen z/millenial cusper and around your age early gen z was eating tidepods and getting wheeled to the hospital. There are slow children in every age group throughout history and the older gen is always going to judge the younger one based on the least fortunate specimen they can get their hands on, its the circle of life.
Don't feel too down about it. You don't need their approval, Gen Alpha's not better or worse than the other gens. Do your own thing.

Amazing video. Thank you so much! It's hard to find a reasonable person nowadays
OMDSSSS, Zoe I am so glad you have covered this topic!! I am actually a 7th grade student and boy is it bad up here 😭 Here’s my personal opinion.
First off, something that I have noticed is that literally nobody has extra curricular activities. Everyone is talking about going to the mall after school, which by the way isn’t really a bad thing, if it wasn’t like every single day. Or the boys in my class talking about how they have beaten their 4 hour streak in COD, like it’s an accomplishment. 💀 Honestly, I think students have wayyyy too much time on their hands and are not using appropriately. It’s not bad to do all things you enjoy but you have to get your priorities straight. If they were to complete their assignments before gaming or going out with friends then it would be totally okay. But the thing is even after all these chats with the teachers nobody seems to change their bad habits. This leads me to my second point.
To be honest, students have just become less motivated and more lazy. Whenever I ask my classmates why they don’t just to the work, which makes it 100% more easier to pass exams and tests, they just tell me that they didn’t feel like it or they have better things to do. Hey, I don’t know what other people lives are like but for the most part I think it’s pretty unbelievable. Unless their ‘better thing’ is FaceTiming their friends after school. And when they get a bad mark they just blame it on the teacher. Now, I know there are students that have horrendous teachers but in my school I can’t really say that any of them are bad teachers. The students bad grade is a result of poor time management and lack of effort. 🌚
To conclude all this let me end by saying that in the last month or so my school has blocked a lot of websites that have been distracting to students plus replacing one of my math blocks with Study Skills. These changes has really helped students to stay focused and now give them more time to complete assignments which I’m really thankful for. 😁
Anyway, once again thank you for putting your time and effort into making these videos!! 💗🫶🏽✨
Thanks so much for sharing this💓 I’m so impressed with your level of awareness at such a young age! Don’t stop learning and being curious🫶🏻✨

Hi! I'm one of the older Gen Alphas here and I would like to say a few things:
1. NOT all Gen Alphas are dumb and incompetent. I know this varies, but personally, the people I know and go to school with are able to complete their work to the standard required, in fact, some kids even got given more challenging work. But I really am concerned for the children in the clips, they really need to learn how to read, and ASAP (it hurts my soul to see that girl say 'bet-win' when she was asked to read the word between 😭 mainly bcs i am known by my friends for being a nerd and a bookworm etc. and i LOVE expanding my vocabulary whenever i see new words in books and tv shows 🤓)
2. _In school_ (I emphasised that as I will talk about other situations later) out of all the girls in my class, _no one_ has tantrums and shows disrespect to a teacher. (Albeit, now that I look back on it, some girls do, but they get warned of the punishment and even if they protest, sometimes they still don't listen and have to move and sit at the front of the class) Even in primary school, only a few kids had tantrums and talked back to the teacher, but that was usually because they have issues with learning as well/fast as most kids. (I apologise, but that is the most respectful way that I can think of to put it)
3. Yes, kids do have tantrums and disrespect authority. I've seen it happen at family gatherings with the younger cousins etc. I should be honest, so I will say that I have before also done that, but after watching quite a number of videos addressing this situation, I realise that the situation is still _very_ bad...
4. After seeing multiple Instagram accounts (yes i use instagram, _sadly_) which teach people good ways of parenting, to connect with their kids, teach them body positivity, consent etc, I conclude that yes, gentle parenting is a good way of parenting, but only if it's done properly. _How_ is it done _properly_? I don't know. I don't have children, so I can't give you a real answer. Sorry. But taking away that screen sometimes, restricting what can be used on the ipad, monitoring what's happening on the devices, are some places to start I guess
5. I'M SORRY BUT WHY DO LITTLE CHILDREN NEED SKINCARE (yes i'm breaking my professional formal talk for this tehe 🙃) AND YES I KNOW THAT 8-13 Y/O ARENT CONSIDERED LITTLE GIRLS BUT STILL. IM LITERALLY THE SAME AGE AS SOME OF THESE GIRLS ONLINE AND ALL I DO IS WASH MY FACE WITH BABY SOAP (i js love johnsons baby soap haha) AND PUT CETAPHIL MOISTURISER ON MY FACE (for my pimples 🥲) AND I LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE I USE ON MY FACE IS BABY LOTION AND SUNSCREEN... HAVEN AND KOTI ARE SEVEN YEARS OLDDDDDDDD THEY DONT NEED ALL THAT STUFF AND NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

c) oh and i live in australia so u may have picked up on certain things in this comment that point to that like how i spelt things etc
d) i have a tendency to type rlly long comments and messages bcs i like over explaining things but also i like putting ALL of my thoughts on paper, maybe its why i talk so fast, to get all my ideas out :)
*if u actually read my whole comment tysm, i applaud u* 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 (not there being like a million grammarly mistakes bro 💀its correcting my aussie spelling of things >:( )
In my (English) high-school, things are looking DOWN. Currently, the entire cohort of students is in gen-z, and, quite frankly, they're basically just as bad, if not worse, than the gen-alpha kiddos.
Of course, I am the typical 'gifted' student, so maybe I am over-reacting, but not a lesson goes by where I do not feel this rage at the disrespect students can enact.
A teacher says we need to do work. One student talks when it is quiet work, then no-one can collaborate. Another does their make-up and none of it gets confiscated, because the teacher has had to deal with this so many times.
The teachers being underpaid, children being raised by the horrific side of the internet and a burnt out species contribute to this problem.
More personally, the children are mean! I hear a slur every time I walk to a new lesson, and Pride Club, who I'm an ambassador for, has gotten raided, made fun of and been the butt of multiple jokes.
I cannot imagine what it's like in the west, but I am going to be crying myself to sleep by the time I'm doing A-levels at this rate.
Anyhow, have a good day and thank you for a comment that sets me up perfectly to rant.
I read the full this, and I agree fully. But almost all the people in my class talk back to adults! 😀
Basically, it is the same as it was since the 1980s. You are still considered a nerd just for wanting to learn. At the same time, you are, actually, more stupid than other children from developing countries.
how old are you?
@@noeliaguilamo9105I speak about philosophy and greek myth to my english teacher.
As a gen-A child (albeit on the close edge of it. Born January 5’th 2010) I can confirm that it really is this bad
I see kids watching TikTok during lunch and on the stairs, walking between classes. My parents gave me limited screen time, which i 100% benefited from and I especially agree with the sentiment that the iPads aren’t the problem, but the parents are. I personally have an iPad, yet I think I have reasonable screen time, but kids my age with phones have way worse cases. It’s to the point that I can’t say that I even have an iPad without being scared I’ll get judged for it
yeah same here (july 2010) i am so happy i didnt get a phone until 13
Gen Z here, born in 2000, I got my iPad when I was 12/13 and while I do use it a lot, I can survive without it for an hour or so. Basically, I don’t use TickTock or Twitter, I avoid negative or inappropriate content, and i mostly just listen to music, draw, and look at art. I don’t use the Social aspect of social media very often (Aside from discord, because all my friends are on there…i don’t have very many friends IRL)
oh. em. gee. AGE TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi

Gen alpha is the reason I don't have TikTok and never, ever plan on getting that brainrot.
As an 11 year old, I am disturbed and disappointed that I am part of the gen alpha community (although I am in the line between gen alpha and gen z)
Thing is people take a minority of kids in gen alpha and make it represent the entire generation. Every single kid in my grade can read we are gen alpha I’m 90% sure every kid in my school can read it’s not all gen alpha.
It's not an attack against you kids but the millenial parents
"L-A-Y-S"
"What does it spell?
"Chips"
🤣
Your voice is very relaxing lol.
I’m so glad people are realizing how insane we are evolving as a collective. We need to be more intentional with our time. Tap into our talents/hobbies/nature/real human connection 🪷
I'm 12, I don't use make-up, I can read,and I dont use the gen-a words(unlike my classmates).
I don't know if I'm gen-a or gen-z, but I am sure stuck in the 80s-00s and I love it :D
And I did have a flip phone :]
+ I still use radio and I love it♡
Lucky😭 (btw you are a gen Z❤)
For real girl, I'm in middle school and only learned what Sephora was this year and reading is one of my favorite things to do
i wish i was you!!!! i do the same except for having a flip phone/using the radio but goodness i wish i could do that. the thing about the radio in my country is that it doesn't really talk about things the news does and it's not what i normally like to listen to, so i can't do that. the flip phone is because i can't afford one haha-
You’re “zalpha” so you can choose if you identify with gen z or gen alpha
I had a flip phone until I was like 17 actually, I didn't really need an iPhone as I already had an iPod touch throughout middle and high school.
Why does anyone care what generation it is? Like, who genuinely cares? Let's stop focusing on making fun of these kids, or excusing them because they're gen alpha, and instead focus on actually helping them grow up.
Edit: spelling
Yup nothing will change if we just go “oooo a video about how the kids are doomed and how stupid they are, next video.” We need to put in effort to fix it
you have to recognize the problem before you try to solve it
This.
True. Everyone dunks on gen alpha and instead of helping, they just complain and blame literal children for a mess that really is just a bunch of past problems combined.
THANK YOU!!@@Bernard-jf8er
I love how she adresses that Gen alpha had somethings that impact there behaior and attitude and doesn't just say gen alpha are idiots and our world is coming to an end. This is why we love Zoe!
I’m 13 and I’m concerned abt those in the grade below me because I’ll see them putting on lipstick and mascara in the bathrooms and bumping into people then eyeing them and yet the highest score in their grade was like 60 something percent .. when my class is already bad enough I can’t imagine how teachers r dealing with them
at the age of 12 i could read and write 5 languages 💀. now I'm 15
5? I suppose you learned X from your father, Y from your mother, Z from your country which would be neighter X or Y and English? What about the 5th?
@@DsiakMondala 1- my native language sindhi

Thanks Zoe for spreading awareness about important topics like this in our society. As hard as it is to go as viral as the TikToks rotting GenAlpha’s brains, we creators can continue trying our best to spread the right message through videos that educate and lift up the younger generation.

Had a heart attack when I saw ‘Zoe’ I forgot the CZcamsrs name for a second and got recent flashbacks to the yearbook at my school misspelling my name and putting me in the wrong year 😭
as a twelve year old i can assure you that i infact cannot read
I'm 16, i have math dyslexia since 2nd grade, and i dropped middle school, now a truant, because of harassment and bullying policy.
This is.... I simply can't belive this. I'm from Germany and I thought our education was messed up..but this? This is a whole other level. As I just said, English isn't my first language. I was pretty much fluent by the time I was thirteen and middle schoolers/kids these days don't even know how to read?? Of course you shouldn't compare kids, but this just seems to extreme. I don't expect them to speak fluent german/spanish/... at thirteen or something, but not being able to read is just not acceptable, I hope this doesnt' become the new standard.
And what's up with their parents?? Getting them skincare, iphones or even make up and can't even make sure they are able to read= that they recieve proper education?
Where is/are the money/resources for proper education?? Does nobody of an important position (politicians/parents/...) even care anymore???
And where did the competetive side go? Where are the students that try to get full marks and are proud of them, what is with the competition about who has more/higher marks? Where is the pride when accomplishing a difficult task/completing a difficult course? Where is the want to learn? Where are their goals?
All that the US politicians do is blame it on “wokeness” (AKA: minorities existing and wanting to be treated like human beings) and some of the millennial parents also blame it on “wokeness” but in reality it’s the lazy parenting
And that's why I want kids. I want to raise them right, with kindness but being strict when needed, as well as always answering and explaining things to them on eye level. I would also teach them as much as possible at home. I personally had to drop out of middle school because of my panic attacks and extreme suicidal thoughts half stemming from school and the stressed it caused. The other half was either home or my yet to be discovered food allergy, autism, CPTSD and probably ADHD as well. But if I have to I'll completely homeschool them if they need to drop out as well. I want to raise kids who don't feel the pressure of having to hide everything about themselves every second of the day, even when alone, just because an adult could enter. And I want them to trust me with everything. If I can achieve any of this depends on how well I do in like a decade or more, but I've been learning since I was 17 on how to parents with kindness and not abuse, so if I keep it up, I'm pretty sure I can achieve at least some of my goals.
Also, the child's behavior is always the caretakers fault, so don't blame these kids, blame the parents who neglected or physically/verbally abused their kids.
THANK YOU!!! You're going to kick butt as a parent, show them how it's done 💖💖
@@literallyjustablockofcheese Thanks!
as a gen alpha im so sorry girl for everyone else there is still hope, don't worry i can read and write
I’m 12 and this is scary, I have a higher reading level than anyone in my class and that basically just means I know what the words query, restaurant, and acupuncture mean. I’m worried for my own generation
I think it is also important to recognize that not all of them can’t read. Some is not all.
Yes 👏
I agree, but a big majority is almost all... And trust me, it's a big majority 😐
Majority makes it concerning
WHO SAID IT WAS MAJORITY
@@milishsmilish I wouldn’t say it is majority. They only showed few teachers that claimed their students couldn’t read. If we really wanted to find out that “majority couldn’t read” we would have to ask many schools in many different areas.
Well, as a older Gen alpha I am ashamed about my generation but I promise not all of us are like this
EXACTLY!! We have so much potential, but they refuse to see it 🙄. All they see are tiktokers and iPad kids 🤦🏾♀️

I am a 2013 gen alpha. I get good grades, I pay attention to my teacher. I respect my elders and have a balanced screen time. I don't understand why younger alphas don't act like they have sense. It makes me really sad and I am not really proud of being apart of this generation :(
A part*, “apart” means the literal opposite
all kids deserve parents but not all parents deserve kids
As a middle schooler in 7th grade, I can say 70% of the people at this school care about their grades to the point people cry cause they just wanna succeed!
We have high averages too, we read books and we do activities!
Luckily I've just always been in smart classes.
Ive been in gifted and now beta club.
We have averages in the 90s and me and my classmates can pick up information very quick to the point that we get a lot of free time.
But I can only speak for myself and the people I know though.
Not every gen alpha cant read or is slow.
Ive been reading long words since I was 3, in pre-k and being babysat.
Please stop adding all of us in one big group of brain rotting dummies.😶
As a 2010, i would rather be labeled as gen z cause of the constant backlash from being born in the same year as many of these outrageous trolls.
As a fellow 2010 I agree
You know what, I agree with you like even gen z treats you guys like shit even though they have gone through similar backlash from the previous generations.
I am gen z bty.

I'm a 5th grader, I'm gonna turn into a 6th grader soon, is there anyways that I can get tips? I don't want to end up like those... Abnormal kids.
@@tornpapers your gonna have to learn self control and how to not follow the crowd.
I've caught my self unknowingly or accidentally falling into that.
Please stay out of drama cause people will fight and cuss a lot to seem older and aggressive.💀
It's not funny, cool or cute!
One friend is enough but making more is cool too! Middle school is when most people are the fakest but sometimes they dont mean it or notice it but watch out.
Make as many associates are you can. (People to talk too but not friends) TRUST! Be confident in yourself and be yourself, you may think you're being judged but your really not, deep down or when with friends, the "cool" people act just like you (how ever you are, someone is always gonna have the same traits😌).
Do NOT, i mean DO NOT pleaseee! Dont let people pressure you into something you dont want to do, you *HAVE* to think before you speak and do!!
Please omg😭.
This is as much of what I can remember from 6th grade since im actually about to end 7th! I wasn't one of the wild kids looking for attention and I wasn't in drama or big stuff so I cant tell you mistakes just by some friends and enemies experiences. I was shy and all that jazz, but also the opposite at times but I still made tons of friends and associates (be urselff😙). Know your limits on things though, and don't worry, you wont need an example for that!🤗
It's not so easy to give tips though cause I'm still just a minor and I'm still processing my experiences too but I hope that little can help you a ton, it helped me a lot and 6th grade was actually my best year ever.😌
(Fyi: being lonely isn't embarrassing, people don't really care, and if they laugh its mainly they have a positive feeling for you, not crush but yk? So if your parents ever said bullies are jealous of you, it is true. It's not to make you feel better but it is lol. Sometimes not but uhm yeaa.😅)
I hope you have the best 6th grade year ever! Make the most of every school year, you'll never know how it will turn out.❤️
A bad years a lesson for the next.🤗
The rest is for you to figure out and experience, BYEE!❤️😁
