Today we take the bay boat out to the reef in hopes of catching big mutton snapper. Despite our troubles first thing in the morning we eventually were able to make it out to the Reefs edge in order to catch live ballyhoo to drop down to the bottom as live bait. In our first five minutes of fishing we quickly double up on two big mutton snapper. There after we go through tips techniques and how tos’ on how to catch mutton snapper. We also go over rigs how to hook baits and basically X Y & Z based on how to go out to the reef and be successful mutton snapper fishing in the Florida Keys. There after we head home to do a clean and cook to show you our delicious Cajun salsa mutton snapper recipe. Enjoy! - Zábava

Have you ever looked into cooking the "Collars" or "Snapper Wings"? There is a ton of very flavorful meat in the belly and throat with the pectoral fins in the middle. This gives the equivalent of a 5th filet and it is completely different flavor and texture.

A brilliant video! Please don't bother listening to those who may poo-poo the Spider Hitch; a Bimini is just a Spider Hitch that knows somebody. Been using the Spider Hitch with various leader knots for 40+ years. Spider Hitch is quicker, easier, I can tie them in the dark, on the beach, on a pier, or anytime with a beer! A Bimini has it's place, wherever that is... Thank you Miss Stephanie for the recipe - worthy of your usual excellence. Best to you both. p.s. I have used Biminis for really LARGE target fish but that's all....very much looking forward to viewing more of your productions.

Hey Clay, those are some beautiful video’s that you make. Trying to convince my wife to ditch Chicago and move south for warmer weather. Would it be possible to include an approximate position on the different fishing spots, just to have an idea of how far offshore you are, or how far north/south from The keys? I can’t tell if you’re fishing on the Atlantic side, or in the Gulf, maybe you do both depending on where the wind comes from, to get some protection. Thanks, enjoying all the tips you’re giving out, both on boating and fishing and cooking.

Rather than a snap swivel for your weight, use a long line clip. Much easier/quicker to rip off.

I didn't see any rust on Stephanie ! So Clay what fillet knife do you use ? Your technique makes it look easy but a super sharp knife helps too.

Your Pathfinder boat looks pretty new, is it normal to lose both your livewell pump and your trolling motor in one outing?
Not normal to my standards.. but normal for a production boat unfortunately.. thanks for watching!
That’s #boatlife My 2500 is 1.5 yrs old & I’ve already burnt up 3 livewell pumps. They have a 3 year warranty & are pretty easy to swap out
