- That's right, no grocery stores for us. As the Virus continues to put life on pause, we venture off in our backyard in search of mutton Snapper. Hang out with us while we drop down live ballyhoo on the some deep sea reefs here in the Florida Keys.

Great content...I'm learning more. Miss Stephanie's kitchen work is incredible.
Love how you show us how to fillet a fish
Nice watching ya'll catch fish catch! Food looks great can't wait to try the recipe!
Y’all are too cute! Great vids! Very professionally done.
Wow what a great catch keep up with it congratulations see you guys next time
Great video, your one of the only guys I se that fillets a fish close to the way I do. It's always better leave on one side and just not release it until the other side is cut off.
Thanks my friend, and hey great minds think alike!
Great video guys! Awesome mutton....congrats!!...💯🎣🛥. Stay safe!!
Thanks my friend!
Great video!
Your comment at 12:52 cracks me up! You just had one of the best tasting fish in the ocean prepared beautifully and you want a steak?? You're running a fishing channel and you aren't a fish person?? I think it is too funny, I do love your channel, very well done!
Dinner for ddayssss.. Great mutton..!! Burp
This was great-- loved the editing!
Thanks Vasisth, hope all is well!
@@LifeByTheBow absolutely! Hope you guys are staying safe and healthy as well!!!
Vasisth Sukul thanks buddy!
Nice Pad and fish.
Good video! Don't know if you guys have ever used this method before but instead of always having to get fresh bait I would sometimes use a piece of skin from a fish that has colour in it (end of mutton snapper or yellow tail skin). Worked really well for me! Good luck and stay safe:)
Mitchell Einwechter Hey never tried that thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
She always catch the biggest one 🎉😂😂
That’s true!
Nice guys! New sub to yr channel.
Awesome channel, awesome editing & awesome people, makes me happy to see there are still awesome people in the World. You two are too cute 😍
One suggestion though (not a criticism) but please bleed ANY fish you choose to keep for eating as it tastes soo much better & that mutton would have been much better eating.
Love from Australia & please be my guests anytime you visit.
Hey clay great videos and after watching all your videos and becoming a big fan I have bought a boat I notice a problem, the steering is very hard at high speeds. so my boat has the same engine as your pathfinder it is a Robalo r230 with a Vmax 250 and it takes no effort to steer at low speeds and once I get on plane the steering is is much much harder. I’m not sure if That is just how it is suppose to be and hope you can tell me if that is how it is on you traded in pathfinder
Sick video
Thanks Sebastian!
I see y'all got the most important seasoning! old bay
Agreed!
Look into Silver Stag knives. Blaine Wa . They don’t dull quickly . DMFD turned me on to them . I’m in the Seattle area so it’s in my back yard .
Thanks for the tip Tim!
Yummy!
So good! Thanks for watching!
Hey Clay...where did you get the circle net for the ballyhoo?
It’s a “Ballyhoop” and they work great. Cast nets are pretty tough on those delicate dudes...

What kind of boat do you have and how far are you able to go out with it. Nice fish enough if Stephanie was chumming early. Well done!!!
shawn Brooks I believe it’s a pathfinder 2300.
Hey Shawn it’s a 23 Pathfinder and we’ve been as far as 30 miles offshore
Big muttons!
Bill Behrens it was a good day!
How deep do you guys fish for them? And do you use a 3way swivel?
Hey KC no swivels. We attach the leader using a double uni knot. I'll make a video on the rig.
Do Mutton's have cheek meat as well? New sub, keep up the good work.
jpat99 they do my friend! We just keep it simple and ditch the carcass.
Fresh water has chlorine and other chemicals in it....salt water is the way to go....bring a gallon jug when you go out so you can get the clean stuff.
Fresh water also makes the meat soft, only way I ever use fresh water is when I’m about to cook the fish right away.
Yup! Makes me cringe when I see people use fresh water on fish lol!
@@LifeByTheBow u probably know this but if I have no choice and have to use fresh water u can heavily salt the filets first then use salt water. Don’t worry about using to much salt 98% of it gets rinsed off.
Do you have a written list of your recipes that I can copy?
We don’t but we try to post them all in the video description. Thanks so much for watching!
how far out have you gone on that boat?
Hey Ace, the furthest we've been is 30 Miles out.
@@LifeByTheBow love your channel. Live in Miami but, love the keys. Gonna get a bay boat in a couple of years once I pay off my Jeep.
do you have a link for the hat?
Availgear.com 👍🏼
What do you guy's do for a living other than CZcams videos & fishing? Hope yo all don't mind me asking?
Thats okay, mainly e-commerce but we have a few different avenues, thanks for watching!
You're welcome.
Take zofran.
Always hard to see u guys throw away the head and the backbone. I love the boney parts of the fish
