    Hi Jonathon! Just a side note, (don't know if you are aware of it) but I believe that your cat is a Turkish Van! They are cats that love water and actually swim too. I had a Calico colored Turkish Van and she looked just like your cat but 3 colored. Have you ever been told that yours is possibly a Turkish Van? I could be wrong but I highly doubt it... does your cat adore water and always wants to drink at the faucet, as well as love a bath? They have an amazing disposition and are one of the sweetest and smartest cats! Just curious if anyone has ever told you what breed she is? Look up that breed and you'll be blown away that she looks exactly like that breed!! Plus her paws are different than other cats...
    Oh and I love what you did to these end tables!!!

      Hi no I’ve never had anyone tell me this she’s only been with us a year and a half as a stray so I didn’t know much about her and I’ve not noticed her do anything strange with water but now I’m going to keep an eye out I wouldn’t of been looking for it anyway thank you so much for the info I’m gonna have a look now really appreciate it 😺

    Bonjour Jonathon, just started watching / following your tutorials & feeling very inspired. I am renovating our home in SW France & have got huge amounts of brown / orange tones of wood (beams, floors, doors etc) so I'm looking at all the wonderful finishes you have & are creating.
    I use F&B for windows / doors (eggshell finish) My question is would a dark brown wax give me a classic aged look to the door details?
    You now have me looking at all my wooden furniture to paint also plus searching for extra pieces I need...
    Cordialement, Maria

      It would work beautifully and I definitely wouldn’t be phased by using it over that kind of finish what I would suggest is trialling one of the panels in the door and if you’re not happy with the outcome you could just remove it with spirits I suppose it’s trial and error really 😊

    Hi Jonathon! Thank you so much for sharing with us! One question, if you could help: can the Satin Paint can be used for bathroom furniture as well?

    Can I use satin paint over chalk paint? I painted a dining table and six chairs in chalk paint, then waxed couple years ago. The chalk paint is beginning to wear off now on some of most used chairs. So my question is can I just apply the satin paint over everything without priming and sanding? I have a bad feeling your going to say I have to start from scratch again and strip everything down.

    Hi Jonathon, I am about to paint shiny piece of furniture in Satin Athenian black. And I wanted to ask about the priming. After soft sending it of do I need to put the primer? Or you did it because of the darker color of furniture then your Satin grey color? Thank you

  • @marywiklander-williams6493

    Is there a need to top coat or wax with the satin paint.

    16:11 This is lovely! Quick question ~ is the reason you primed these tables because they’re so glossy or is priming necessary always before using AS Satin Paint? I’ve used her paints for years and I’ve never primed so I’m just curious. Much appreciated

    They look beautiful.. can I just ask, would you be able to use other colours in the range to create an aged look whilst still having the satin finish and I may have missed it but did you wax the pieces.. thank you as ever for your tremendously informative videos..

    • @JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove
      @JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove  Před 2 lety +2

      I’m sure there would be a way round creating an age block but I wouldn’t bother I would just go straight for chalk paint and use the wax or Matt lacquer to create a Mid Sheen over the top of your project
