I enjoyed your instructional video very much…clear and precise, and more up-to-date than all the other videos on CZcams. I’ve purchased a Big Shot Pro second hand and I’m hoping it will work as well as advertised; my thinking being it will save time when having to cut out multiple die cuts. Plus, the ability to cut out a wide range of products, ie. from paper CS to tin, felt and cloth, will definitely make this machine worth the price tag 😸

A beginners' guide should always focus on the "why" (the function of an element) over the "how". Here, we have a "how" video - great if people are supposed to mindlessly copy a process but not so great if people are supposed to develop an understanding of the principles which can then serve as a basis for own experiments and improvements = real creativity. ... tell people about the function (rather than the description) of the respective component and they will remember it and also be able to trouble-shoot their process if problems arise.
Thank you so much for your for your video, I’m still trying to get my Big Shot Pro to work. When trying to emboss it will only pull the cutting plate through, not the entire platform/sandwich. Could you tell me, does the bottom roller roll when you turn the handle? Mine does not, only the upper, I’m wondering if that’s my problem.
I have this same Big Shot Pro. Can you please tell me how and what to use in Cutting the thinlits for the Sizzix Feather Cuff Bracelet Movers magnetic die & Thinlits. I don’t know,how,to sandwich. Thanks
can i use 1 inch die ? with thick leather? will it fit ? sandwiched to 2 acrylic mats?

Would I be able to cut material such as felt,
velvet or thick cotton with the Sizzix Pro?
Yes - with any of the Sizzix range actually, not just the Pro. You just need to be using Bigz dies as they are designed for thicker materials
Oh I am torn between the Plus and now seeing the Pro! Sharon, I want to emboss an entire 12 x 12 or 8-1/2 x 11 sheet...are there any dies or folders that will fill up an entire sheet for either machine? or a workaround?
I don't know of any company that makes embossing folders in 12 x 12, a few do A4 (or 8 1/2 x 11), but even then it's not many so not much choice. I guess you could repeat emboss, but you generally end up with a line where the edge of the folder is, so it's not really a good workaround.
Do the Eileen Hull folio and journal dies work with this and so I still need the extended cutting pads to use them?
Yes they do - and no, you could use the plates that come with the machine - as you have a creasepad included which ensures the score lines don't cut.
My Bigshot pro doesn’t cut dies very well? Thought it was supposed to cut more than one sheet at a time but even with one sheet it doesn’t cut too well?
What dies are you using?
