you should not be using that black mat in that manner it goes underneath your cutting die...the sacrifice clear hard plastic goes on top as it will get chewed up by the cutter as it cuts your material.

My leather is between 1.2mm-1.4mm. I ordered one 'big shot pro' after watching your video. Hopefully it cuts nicely :) Thanks for the video by the way!
