Thank you my friend. The support from your channel and all the other blade brothers is outstanding and I appreciate each and every one of you. Bless you all my friend
There IS a major difference between the two blades and it can be seen at 6:27 The main bevel on the Honshu is ground much higher than the main bevel of the M-Tech. You can clearly see see the flat of the side blade is wider and thicker and runs further on the M-Tech. Look how much more flat material is to the left of the fuller of the M-Tech compared to the Honshu. And sue to the light reflection the Honshu appears to be hollow ground. Hollow grinds are better slicers than flat grinds.
I'm in agreement with Karl. I'd go with the MTech too. I like the handle alot better and definitely the price. Awesome video, my brother. Stay safe. 🔪BiB 🗡 💙💙💙 #22aday 💙💙💙
They are both really cool blades and if you go mtech you are still going to get the same blade as the honshu, you’re rock solid my blade brother. 🔪👍⚔️👮🏻♂️🗽🇺🇸💯22 aday.
Those are serious weapon of cold steel and I've been thinking of snagging the Mtech and the United Cutlery Tanto cold steel blades for my personal cold steel collection. Any piece of bladed weaponry is Cold Steel that's the original name of metal weapons Cold Iron & Cold Steel 4 Life. I see that there's a price difference in both of them and Mtech is better price but as a collector of cold steel like yourself I hope to get both although it would be the Mtech first and for most to at least have one instead of none.
Can’t go wrong with cold steel are the mtech. Both will be awesome to add to your collection. Stay sharp my friend. I appreciate you taking the time to watch a old boy from Mississippi try and do knife reviews. Bless you 22 aday 🇺🇸🔪🙏👮🏻♂️☝️👌👍
Is the Mthch logo stamped or acid etched? Looks acid etched to me. Both are fine blades but I would definitely go for the Mtech if I were to purchase one.
I believe it’s etched because you can feel a little rise when you run your fingers across it. Buy all means go with the mtech. I just can’t see paying 40$ more dollars for the sheeth on the honshu. But I am a collector so I had to have them both. Hope the video will help some of our blade brothers out. Thank you for watching my blade brother. It’s always awesome to here from you. Hope all is well 22 aday 🇺🇸🔪👍🙏👮🏻♂️☝️

Well said my friend. Well said indeed 👍💯👌🗽🔪🙏😎🇺🇸⚔️
The Honshu is VG10 while the Mtech is 440C. I like the base of the Mtech better so I agree I'd buy the Mtech 3x over one Honshu
I don’t blame you brother. It’s a awesome piece

Is your MX-8130 straight looking from the back of the blade? Does it align withe the handle?
