    Nice job, doing mine tomorrow by myself. I'll see how far I can get before I need help! 😁👍

      You can do some of this alone but will come a time, especially on the roof, when a helper will be needed.

      @@TheOriginalMechanic Competed in about 5 hours total time with leveling the rock I put it on, only needed a little help to get the last roof panel lined up to the screw holes. 👍

    Nice job, Followed your setup and did mine exactly. Only thing I need is where do I get a plaque that goes above the doors? They're 3 1/2" By 9". Thanks!

      The one we had came with the shed. You may have to contact Suncast. Apparently your plaque was missing. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Nice video. How much light do you get inside the shed through the skylight windows? Is it sufficient?

    • @TheOriginalMechanic
      @TheOriginalMechanic  Před rokem

      It is for most purposes, but if you're working in there on a cloudy day you might want to bring in more light.

    Before we get going, You mention one expansion kit, does that come with all the parts or does it need to be purchased separately? Thank you!

    • @TheOriginalMechanic

      A relative purchased this but I believe everything needed was included with the expansion kit.

      @@TheOriginalMechanic Thank you for your time and answering all my questions, appreciate that! And thanks for the heads up about needing a hammer drill! Like I'm doing the install! Lol! I have a reputable handyman and his partner coming for the install, just like to know what is going on. One more question if you have the time, how many MPH winds do you think it can withstand? Thanks again!

    How long does this shed take to assemble? Does it take two men to assemble? Thank you!!

    • @TheOriginalMechanic
      @TheOriginalMechanic  Před rokem +1

      I'd estimate 4-6 hours to assemble. There are a few steps that require 2 people and many that are possible with one but much easier and faster with two.

      @@TheOriginalMechanic Thank you so much for your reply! Rebuilding after Florida's hurricane Ian. Purchased the shed from Lowes and it looks like yours, however the model number is BMS7404. Have a handyman install but before he comes here I will share your vid with him. Thank you again for your reply, it was helpful!!

      Original Mechanic I too have a slab where my shed blew apart during the hurricane. Shed is 7x4 slab is 8x8 but I thought I read that this shed is a bit wider than 7", I hope it fits properly!

    We built a solid, level base. The floor was solid , and the walls were level and square, and the right roof panels all lined up.
    But for some reason, the back wall peak panel was not straight, or the roof beam bracket was off, so the left front roof panel would not go on.
    The roof trusses on the left side seemed to be off at an angle, after were installed the right roof panels. We double checked everything, and the squareness was good. The side supports measured the same location distances, but the trusses to the top roof beam were off.
    Our shed had the plain metal roof tresses, and just flimsy brackets at the top, but the two back vertical plates were not included, so the peak panel was not straight.
    We disassembled the shed and returned it to the store for a full refund.
    There was a comment by another buyer of this shed, (through Amazon) and he had the exact same problem with the left side panels not going on evenly.

      That's a shame. All that work goes into putting it up and then it has to come down and go back to the store. Sounds like a manufacturer defect.
