You need to label the lethal laughing gas so you don't mix it up with the regular laughing gas, Joker is just being OSHA compliant.
That or he likes to take a hit of the non-lethal stuff and doesn't want to get them mixed up. People think it's easy being manic and laughing all the time but sometimes even the Joker needs a little help.

The confusing history of Selina Kyle would be fascinating. How public tastes, gender based preconceptions in society and other media influences impacted her character over 80 years. I know she's a very famous and much talked about character, but an exploration into the many origins and changes to the character over the years would be really interesting and super entertaining, particularly in your unique style. 🐱

Regarding this Elseworld, my theory is that it came to be when the Nazis doomed themselves by destroying the fetish clubs in Weimar Berlin. This caused this subculture to unite against them, first covertly then in open armed resistance, shortening the war and influencing fashion for the next 50 yrs.

This comic is fairly tame compared the Balent's own series: Tarot Witch of the Black Rose. That one not only has an even less realistically proportioned heroine, versus her equally ridiculously built sister, with neither of them wearing even 10% body coverage, and frequent nudity... It also makes jokes from assaulting the male romantic interest.

Seeing Selina's parents take her to see Cat People brings back memories of the time my mom & I made the mistake of seeing a revival of Forbidden Planet on the stage in London. It was...
very, very different from the movie. As in, the stage director's chief instruction to the actors was, apparently, to "tart it up."
Where, where do I start? Like, i'm going full Krusty when I say: "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" That BDSM Catwoman, that Edgetactular Batman, Brooke's sexy maid get up, and Two Face's... Everything! I have to say, a certain portion of comic "fans" would say they miss this style of comics, the days in which they looked like a 90's Hentai.
Man, Bruce being her parents killer, and being questionably older gets sidestepped the fact he purposly killed her parents, and then impregnated her Pussy Cave... Then banged and knocked her up. How did this get lost to time?!
(Almost forgot, I saw the 80's Cat People early this year, that lady was naked for most of the runtime... Yeah, that's all I gotta say lol)

I read this comic and I also loved it, and yes it was INCREDIBLY CAKEY haha but evil Batman had to be my favorite. Because even if the roles were reversed Selina was never a psychopathic murderer who also JOE CHILLED Thomas and Martha Wayne! Crazy stuff. So wild. I loved it.

This was during the "bad girl" era back in the '90s. It was a strange time. I have a question. Would you be willing to follow this rabbit hole down to the '90s bad girls? Could you review Dawn or Lady Death or Purgatori? Even Vampirella had a rebirth during this period of time. If I did have to pick a comic from this time (Don't judge me!) It would be Shi by Billy Tucci. I guess I am a sucker for ninja. But, yeah, cheesecake as a thing. Lady Death even got an animated cartoon.......which is weird in every conceivable way. It was a crazy, fan servicey time, and I am not mad about it. Nope.

The stilted henchman might be a reference to the game tie-in of the 1989 movie that had stilted henchmen that I'm pretty sure required you to break the legs with batarangs before you could beat them.

One of my favorite books is called the Jokers wild. A story about Tim Drake's Robin first encounter with the crown prince of crime. Not to mention Joker's reaction to seeing the new Robin mistaking him for Jason thinking he somehow came back to life.

@@tigerbread78 LOL I was actually looking at a TPB collection of Alan Moore’s work on Wildstorm, and there was a specific story about Spawn and the Youngbloods going to the future. It had fairly important character who was wearing the single smallest thong I’ve ever seen in a comic as part of her superhero outfit. I can’t remember who the artist was exactly, but it was definitely an Image regular.

This casually comics made me genuinely smile! I am taken back to the 90's when Jim balent drew the catwoman vampirella crossover. Perhaps this is one of those guilty pleasures of mine. Still the point you bring up about trying to keep a straight face with panels of cheesecake hits home. Yet still I can read that crossover and a little part of my mind says the story Mark that is why you purchased it. HAAA! The original Danger Girl mini-series by J. Scott Campbell is ridiculous fun! Nothing that followed under that name was quite as interesting.
The Balent Catwoman suite was a fairly good design, but the bowling balls for boobs look just became too distracting.

It's really hard for me to imagine a comic as bad as this one. However, since I am a bit chauvinistic, I enjoyed your portrayal of the art. The idea of Catwoman taking Batman's role is intriguing. Its been 20 years. I say redo it. Preferably with having Gail Simone write it. I would have Brooks wear a tux outfit like the Doctor did in the Season 12 opener Spyfall.

No. Don´t have or have read a comic hated that I like...quite.
If anything:
1. On the same vein but not quite, is New 52 Firestorm. Firestorm is one of my favorite characters. I knew going in the terrible critics but I still wanted to read it since I´ve never read a comic of the superhero. However, I ended up agreeing pretty much with the critics. The comic is very C- when they have them as 2 different Firestorms (and especially too much was the worldwide Firestorms) and, up until near the end, when they make them one is when it finally gets better but it was too late.
2. Other I can think of is Rebirth Justice League of America. This title wasn´t hated but not well received. I decided to get it just because I wanted to read Lobo and it ended being really enjoyable. I´m not going to say that it was a masterpiece but I´m really glad I own it.
...come to think of it, RED LANTERNS was a title that I read at the beginning that it was good. A friend was reading it so I borrowed the first volume and didn´t like it at all. But later on I decided to do the series and ended up really liking it.
However, as for comics that were very disliked and I agreed on that opinion...
1.Convergence. Is the most poinless event I´v ever read. And I was lucky that I have read most of Earth 2. Otherwise I would have understood even less.
And while it was limited to 8 issues if I remember, in Spain (where I am), was sold as 2 trades so it was quite expensive.
2.Heroes in Crisis. Bought it because of it´s "importance" and it had limited issues, had a "connection" to Green Arrow (that I was reading) and was cheap. But I truly disliked it. I wasn´t that upset because of the reasons given but yeah. Truly awful.

It's always interesting to see women reacting to cheesecake and fan service. There are a lot of similarities to how men react to erotic fiction directed at women like 50 Shades (albeit cheesecake isn't actually porn). The general difference is men seem to get the 'this is not for me,' feeling and women simply get what I call the 'why?' feeling. And the 'why' feeling goes one of two ways: Either you attack the source of that feeling or laugh at it.
