Great to hear from you, David! Yes, unlike other inner-city 'A-B' commuter bikes, the Delite really is the full-package, and can ultimately be that car-replacement, should you want it to. If there's any other content you'd like us to produce going forward then let us know.

Excellent vid,I just got my R&M multicharger yesterday and am blown away by the quality of the engineering,I still haven't figured out to get the pedal assist going as the menus on the kiox can be overwhelming.I'm a non driver and will be using it for the school run,no other bike I could find fulfilled so many criteria,my only worry is some bellend with an angle grinder will have a go at taking it off my hands:)

I haven't seen these in the states, but I haven't really been looking. I've been on an EVELO Delta X, out of Sumner, WA and am starting my 5th year now. Time sure flies. I live in Florida where we have decent riding weather most of the year. I sold my truck 3.5 years ago and don't regret going E-bike at all. If you go this route, do your research and try not to go too cheap. That extra thousand dollars is worth it for decent quality that will last you years.

I love it! I am about to buy a Tinker however. At least I think I am... I currently commute into London via train, and then a tour hour additional commute to Leeds. My idea is for an R&M bike that I can easily take on both trains and use all week between accomodation and Leeds office, then come back same way. Whilst I love the look and sound of the Delite, I think the compact option is likely the better one. Maybe a Delite for the weekends...

R & M no compromise bike except that the CX motor only assists up to 20 mph - no thanks. I would need the Speed motor version that assists up to 28 mph and while I was at it the automatic shifting box. Also that rack sits so high the any kind of luggage would have to be down hanging or you will hit it when throwing your leg over the bike especially with that dropper seat pushed down which you didn't mention is another big advantage in having one on a road bike. I ride a Specialized Vado 5.0 which uses the Enviolo hub and auto shifting and it is pretty great. I just miss having that rear suspension like my emt bike has so I am interested in R&M with that beautiful Rolhof but would not want to give up any of the bits on the Vado mentioned.. Auto shifting is the cats pajamas once you have tried it.

Instead of running a second car, many of our customers have adopted using a cargo bike as a happier, healthier, flexible, cost effective and more climate friendly means of transport. Many of our electric cargo bikes also have compatible rain covers to keep small heads dry. In terms of your comment about locking up the Delite, we recommend customer's invest in a high quality lock such as the diamond rated new Anti-angle grinder Hiplok D1000 and a comprehensive insurance policy.

I'm 6'2'', no extreme obesity, cycling, longboarding for commute, but I've only been 112 kg naked and after ten days of COVID. All dressed (for winter/rain) I'm 125 kg easily. Yet. I'm riding slim chromoly fixie for three years now and 25km+ on so-so roads are fine. Except, I can't climb on long steep hills. @@FullychargedUK doesn't seem like much protection. Stated inflation time is 0.1 second, at 30 mph that's over 4 feet. In a head-on collision that gets reduced by half. NO THANKS!

Nobody cares why you chose that, because it’s 5 times more expensive than many other great brands priced below $2000, and it’s way over rated, and very few people can afford to waste thousands of dollars. But hey if you want to throw away your money, and then brag about it, to justify your poor decision, far be it from any of us to stop your charade.

Just the rohloff hub costs $1500 so I don't think your $2000 bike can compare. The bikes youre talking about are not great. They are cheap, china made and won't last. Every single component on the delite is top quality, way more reliable and backed with warranty. The seemless integration, the comfort, it all costs money. Riese and muller are one of the only brands that even have full suspension with the gates belt and rohloff speedhub. It's unique and a beautiful bike. You aren't getting a bike like this for $2000.

There isn't a sub-$2K ebike on the market that isn't a piece of shite.

I am sorry but for me a throttle is an absolute necessity. Whether on dirt or in city a throttle gives me the necessary contol.
I am retired and ride everyday, half of my riding is on dirt trails.
I am pissed because the Euroeans make fine e-bikes.
There is absolutely no contest as far as a throttle is concerned. The nuance and control with a throttle and safety comparisons are not in the same ballpark as pedal assist only.
Please you stubborn European dictators add throttles to your foreign sold e-bikes.

If it has a throttle then it is a motorcycle and not a bicycle.

If you have a throttle on your e bike then you need to comply with what is stated by law. You need a CBT test and number plate bracket and maybe insurance as the bike will be classed as a motorcycle. If you get caught you may suffer the same fate as a motorcyclist without those things. Pleading ignorance won't cut it either

You said: there are 2 types of carrier racks, one lighter and one with more capacity (like the one in the video I imagine)
    Are you sure?

Yes you can have a 'carrier rack' or 'pannier rack'. One is sleek and minimal, which has around 10kg of capacity. The other is the one in the video which has around 25kg I believe.
