Minzy doesn't just doing a dance thing. She literally runs a dance academy and her own label! I think that's much bigger than just a dance thing. Especially when some of her students have debuted in the newer gen groups. And she achieved all this in her early-mid 20s!!

The model guy in Gotta Be You is Ash Stymest, CL's rumored ex boyfriend. His friend ever said on old Twitter that he goes to Korea to meet CL. He dated Lily Rose Depp after that... Y'all making me reminisce the golden era of kpop 😢❤ I miss 2NE1 so much!!!
To sum it up, 2nd generation ran so the generations after could take a freaking stroll into the industry. 2nd gen kpop groups broke a lot of stereotypes and walls. Tattoos, Outfits, Hair colours, Music genres etc... this gen is the closest to my heart❤
Minzy went to Mr. Yang and asked to do solo performances. She had been idle for 2 years and had become depressed. She went with her father. Yang refused to approve and Minzy did not renew her contract. Minzy now has a good solo career, has a dance school, and started an entertainment company.

The YG CEO called 2NE1 ugly during a rehearsal in front of the other employees. The 2NE1 members received hundreds and maybe thousands of messages from netizens telling them they were ugly. All of them were affected by this barrage of hate. Read "I am the Best" lyrics and you will find their answer to this. "Ugly" confronts the pain from this.
Mr. Yang CEO of YG publicly called 2NE1 ugly in a rehearsal. "I am the Best" and "Ugly" were written after that incident. "I am the Best" is a direct counter that insult. They are the best because they are beautiful and everyone watches them and copies them. "Ugly" expresses the pain of being called ugly. It seems upbeat but when you read the lyrics the message is revealed. Bom's scandal was nothing and should have been dropped immediately. Bom's American doctor mailed her prescription to her. The ADD medicine was illegal in Korea. Once that was explained the charges against her where dropped. However, YG suspended their activities for 2 years and did not defend Bom nor the other member. After driving Minzy from the goup YG moved bom out and then disbanded the group without telling them.
Note I have seen a video clip of Mr. Yang calling them Ugly.
It's ironic indeed coz they were called the ugly girl group yet they became the FASHION Queens of KPOP in their era. . .along with BIGBANG being called the ugly boygroup back then and became FASHION Kings of KPOP. . . Both groups actually started the luxury brands trend that kpop idols enjoy nowadays. . .
Park Bom is more than just a filler in the group. She was 2ne1’s voice and even became the standard for vocalists in YG (or at least with female vocalists). Her unique vocals made unique voice a thing with main vocalists and vocalists in general in Kpop. Her voice is considered the most unique (Watch her appearance in King of Masked Singer as every immediately knew it’s her). Her only 2 solo songs under YG topped all charts in Korea when they were released and they weren’t even for her official solo debut. She also is the first female group member to achieved a PAK for her solo song. Even her comeback song after 5 years of hiatus almost achieved PAK as well and it is all after haters and the media painted her as being hated so much by South Koreans.
Every member in 2ne1 has a purpose why they are in the group. I need everyone who isn’t much aware of them to stop making assumptions without knowing first. I hope you can check them out to know why 2ne1 is 2ne1 because of the members 🫶🏻❤️❤️

Lonely, i don't care and happy from 2ne1
I started with Blackpink and then found 2NE1. Now a Blackjack. Blackpink is too one-dimensional at which they are very good. On the other hand, 2NE1 has a broad range of genre and better vocals. Blackpink more cheesecake and 2NE1 more individualism. Finally, 2NE1 live is awesome and radiates energy and enjoyment. Check out MAMA 2015 with CL and 2NE1.

누군가가 못생겼다고 놀림받아도 특히 남자들에겐 일상이라고도
할수있어요.
특히 YG의 빅뱅의 경우엔
멤버들이 서로 얼굴을 처음본날 대성의 얼굴을 보고선 ''재는 노래는 기가차게 부르겠구나 하고 다들 생각했다고 합니다.😅
그래서 어느정도 한국사람들은 자신의 외모가 못생긴걸 인정하고 사는게 크게 이상한것도 아닙니다.
그러나 연예인은 이뻐야 한다는 선입견이 있어서
외모이슈가 있었던겁니다.
사실 아무리 외모평가가 있는 문화라 하더라도 여자한텐 대놓고 못생겼다고 하진 않는데
여자아이돌이라 그런 이슈가 공공연히 있었고
Yg 양현석도 외모는 보지
않고 선발했다고 말하는 의도였는데 결국 못생긴걸 인정하는 말이
되버렸죠.
그리고 외모적으로 특출난 동시대의 소녀시대의 인기를 일본에서는 이기지 못했고 많은 수익이 일본에서 나왔기때문에

Minzy was born in 1994. So she was an adult in 2013 and was allowed to have long hair. Minzy spent 2 years doing nothing and became depressed. She and her father met with YG for permission to do solo performances. YG turned her down. Bom's "scandal" was a nothing burger. He American doctor mailed her a prescription drug and they went crazy. YG did not support Bom and put the group in hiatus. Bottom line IMHO YG intentionally broke up 2NE1.
