YESS. Their music was so ahead of the game and definitely 'experimental' with each concept which not a lot of kpop groups do anymore.

I really wish that more people nowdays can listen to this album completely, cuz it's so fu**ing GOOD! This Queens never dissapoint us with their music
2ne1 got me into Kpop. They were so different than anyone else at that time. The were not the first but they lead the way on so many things and changed the game.
If I were you - live sketchbook is one of the most amazing powerful, emmotional filled performance by them,.
Fun fact: CRUSH sets new US Record for HIGHEST-CHARTING, BEST SELLING KPOP ALBUM at the BILLBOARD 200 at #61 (2014) (Record broke 2 yeara after by EXO)

Note that CL wrote crush. Oh yes, thank you for doing the album. 2NE1 is not a one-trick-pony they are talented musicians who do a variety of genre. Their vocal skills are awesome. Only suggestion is to watch some live performances so you can appreciate how they dominate the stage.
I love this group and this album so much. The live version of Crush is one of my all time faves. I don't think newer kpop fans truly understand how revolutionary 2NE1 was. There was nothing like them in kpop before and as soon as they arrived, you started to see a lot other groups change their styles. They are the original girl crush group. Nothing about them fit the traditional kpop mold and they were breaking barriers, making headway in the west, getting global advertising contracts, becoming darlings of the international fashion scene... things that seem more common now -- but they were the first. What happened to them is an absolute travesty. They were starting to really break through to the western market, CL was recording her English solo album (at least 1 music video was even recorded), touring the festival circuit with Diplo, the girls were back in Korea preparing for their next album... and controversy struck. I'm still convinced they could have survived based on how big their fandom was internationally alone. But YG had a new group coming out that he insultingly referred to as being like 2NE1 but prettier. The minute CL re-signed her 5 year contract with YG, he disbanded the group, put their primary producer and main collaborator on the new group's projects, and basically locked CL in a dungeon unable to release new music FOR FIVE WHOLE YEARS! She was even invited to perform the opening ceremony for the Olympics and had to organize and pay for everything herself, because YG wouldn't even support her at the freaking Olympic opening ceremonies!!! I hope that someday we'll get a tell-all book from the girls, because I'm dying to know what those conversations were like behind the scenes. Anyway, I'm glad you're discovering them. Their career was cut short, but the music lives on. Nolja!
You need to watch the LIVE version of Crush. It is fire!! I keep that video in my favorites so I can watch it. Those women know how to rock. And the live band was amazing. If only to be in the audience when they did that performance. 🔥🔥

I love this reaction so much. thank you for showing love for 2ne1! 2ne1 are trendsetters and also started the girl crush concept. They were super popular and still hold records in korea's charts. And since its halloween and fall season, I recommend their song "it hurts". one of my favorite ballads from them. once again thank you so much, blackjacks really appreciate this

You finally got into 2ne1. Reactors who discover them, appreciate their crafts, talents and have good words towards them just makes me happy. 2ne1 legacy still lives on

YG made the MV for 2NE1 and Blackpink. So all of them are high quality and similar. When I compared the groups to which would be my bias I watched their live performances. Then I could compare vocal skills, stage presence, rapping and choreo.
I will always hate YG for not taking good care of 2NE1 with all do respect to BP but they only exist because of 2NE1. And on a side note 2NE1’s older catalog is even better than the ones you heard “Missing you” is a masterpiece
Actually YG forced them to disband,telling them that the crush album is a flopped( According to dara that album was flopped but it solds million copies worldwide and all the songs in the album are no.1, So she was confused on the reason of total disbandment)
