2ne1 is still the best kpop girl group for me, up until now.
You know what I also like girls generation. But not as much as I like 2ne1! There is just something about the whole package of 2ne1 that is very special and very rare! They really are an absolutely amazing music group! And it's so sad with how YG treated them or they would still be together as a group making music.
@@partoftheway4235 girl please do research on why they disbanded. it's not because YG treated them like shit (he did but that's not the main reason.) the reason is because one of the girls had a drug scandal, one didn't resign the contract, and alot of other drama.

They went on a hiatus because of that. then minzy's contract expired and she did not renew and that's really when the disbandment process began. 2ne1 became 3 and they were still making unrealeased records at that point. I don't know how much you know about the industry, but if you did enough research, then that's what happened. Also before any big company launch a product, in this case, music and the group, it does a lot of market research, focus group discussion, etc, to study how the music will do in the market. this was most likely the case for 2ne1. It seemed that the market wanted not 3, but 4 members. It was certainly not Minzy's fault but it is certainly true that if only YG gave Minzy something to do, an album, a mini.album, or a single, she would not have left and they would have had time to reband.

Tell me why Minzy didnt revnew her contract. They, YG, literally refused to promote her solo. When you work for a company and they refuse to promote you and raise your pay, would you quit?
Plus, 2NE1 are always OT4, they would not work when one is missing. The disbandment was inevitable. I dont know why its not because of YG like you said.

In come back home I interpret the lyrics of the song as a metaphor for having a loved one taking drugs, in the video clip we can see how Dara's "partner" is surprised to see the advertisement of the virtual paradise, which is supposed to be a place where you connect to a machine and where you can remember good times and live happily (as some drugs do, evading reality where you are not happy in the first place). In the chorus we can hear the title of the song which is come back home, calling these people to leave the virtual world or drugs and come back to the people who love them, while the girls aim to end the virtual world from the inside.

recently CL performed at Coachella and brought the members of 2ne1 up to perform I Am the Best, you should definitely check it out! The song originally came out in 2011 so the girls have all grown into themselves on their own. Coming together to perform was a surprise for everyone and was awesome to watch!

Will.I.Am produced a whole album for 2NE1 but it was never released. 2NE1 did appear on his solo album Willpower with the track Gettin' Dumb and there is a 2NE1 single Take The World On which was not officially released but it can be found on CZcams. CL is probably the member closest to BEP as she collaborated with them on the album Masters Of The Sun Vol 1 with the song Dopeness and it was rumoured that she was going to replace Fergie when Fergie decided to focus more on her family. CL also performed Where Is The Love with BEP at 2012 MAMA and joined them on tour in Japan. 2NE1 have also performed with Snoop Dogg.
2NE1 paved the way for kpop girl groups and are still relevant today. Queens of live performance, girl crush/bad ass concept, fashion icons, female empowerment, the first kpop girl group to have a world tour, still the only girl group to win all four major Asian music awards (MAMA). Basically they are the idols of idols, past, present and no doubt, the future.
