Steve Bruce is an absolute gentleman. Could listen to him all day. He was part of a new Man Utd then went from winning nothing to winning everything! All the players he mentioned were unbelievable for us. Cantona was missing piece for us. Once we signed him things took off. Plus the class of 92 was coming into the squad aswell. Brilliant times.

People forget how good a player Steve Bruce was, he was a monster on the pitch and never gave up and could play football as well, got important goals and even took penalties. It's crazy him and Pallister are never in the best defenders in premier league history when the stats and trophies show they were, Ferguson himself said Pallister and Bruce were better on the ball then Ferdinand. In today's game both would be better then VVD as defending is so much easier now as back then it was so tough and were facing two strikers not none, now it's about watching the game but back then they also had to battle with the likes of shearer, Fowler, cole, collymore, Owen, Sutton, Sheringham,Yorke,Beardsley, rush, Bergkamp,Wright,Anelka, Henry and many more!

Terry Butcher was a great center back and a bad manager, Gerrard was one of the best players of his generation not so great as a manager. Bruce was a decent manager years ago at Champ level. He's a decade past his sell by date. He had more dosh than Rafa at Newcastle and was gifted a promotion chasing club at West Brom. Both sets of fans hate him with good reason.

He would of been a success after Ferguson but I will always feel the natural replacement was Roy Keane as he kind of managed the players anyway even McLaren had to speak to Keane about training and days off and if fergusons ego wasn't so big he would of let Keane retire at Man Utd and bring him in as a number two and show him the ropes like Liverpool did and we would of continued with success and i think Keane thought that would happen, but with the crowd chanting Keane ferguson didn't like it

What a daft question " did Keane rule the dressing room back then" 😂 Keane was about two years older than the class of 92 and was only 22/3 when signed and the highest transfer ever and would of been more if he went Blackburn but as if he's going to walk in and rule the dressing room at that age with Robson, Ince,Bruce, Schmeichel,Cantona ,Hughes,McClair,Parker,Irwin there! In a way Fergusons first successful team is my favourite as it was team full of captains and tougher than the crazy gang! Imagine that 93/4 team with the expert training and knowledge of looking after yourself they have today with there mentality, don't think they could be beaten
