Steve Bruce is an absolute gentleman. Could listen to him all day. He was part of a new Man Utd then went from winning nothing to winning everything! All the players he mentioned were unbelievable for us. Cantona was missing piece for us. Once we signed him things took off. Plus the class of 92 was coming into the squad aswell. Brilliant times.
@@JordiBoy_ rhetorical question?
@@JordiBoy_what a pointless comment.
Proper legend Brucey!
@@BennHaze firstly, you asked a question and added a reply! Secondly, No where in my comments have I said I wanted Steve Bruce as a manager at Man Utd. I admired him as a Man Utd player. So no it wasn’t a pointless comment. You answered you’re own question
I remember the 90/91 season, when Steve Bruce scored 19 goals from CB. I bloody love him.
As a United fan of a certain vintage, i bloody love Steve Bruce! I will never forget him scoring 19 goals in 1 season from CB (90/91).
Need to get Bruce onto The Overlap
Everyone else Not a Liverpool fan: What a game..
Talksport: So if you wanna take it a little bit pessimistic.
I know right? Pathetic as usual
Thanks for mentioning the injuries Bruce. Not many people even x United players mention it.
People forget how good a player Steve Bruce was, he was a monster on the pitch and never gave up and could play football as well, got important goals and even took penalties. It's crazy him and Pallister are never in the best defenders in premier league history when the stats and trophies show they were, Ferguson himself said Pallister and Bruce were better on the ball then Ferdinand. In today's game both would be better then VVD as defending is so much easier now as back then it was so tough and were facing two strikers not none, now it's about watching the game but back then they also had to battle with the likes of shearer, Fowler, cole, collymore, Owen, Sutton, Sheringham,Yorke,Beardsley, rush, Bergkamp,Wright,Anelka, Henry and many more!
“Two strikers not none” 😂
Brucey and Pallister, proper legends
I'm surprised it never happened. When he was at Newcastle the media were endlessly telling us what a brilliant manager he was and what a brilliant job he was doing. Oddly, when he became available, only West Brom were interested... which in itself was odd.
It was beautiful chaos...loved every moment.. GGMU❤
Good to hear from two real football men Steve Bruce and Tony cascarino
Bruce was the best manager we had at Hull city and admired his integrity when he walked away after getting us promoted
He was the worst manager we have had in the Premier league and he must have left his integrity at Hull because he certainly didn't bring it to Newcastle.
What a fraud
Just saying the word pinnacle in a Geordie accent is enough for me
Doner kebab with a side a chips and cheese sauce would have been my pinnacle.
❤ Bruce
Move man
Bruce would have been a disaster as he was at my club, Newcastle. The man seems to have no concept of his lack of abilities
Lack of dosh to buy decent players to take you lot forward more like ! Best centre half to never win a England Cap
@@mjsteierWe spent 100 million the summer Bruce came to Newcastle. In Ashley’s era that was unheard of. A lot of the players he had have been performing at a whole different level under Howe: Schar (was never even playing under Bruce) Joelinton, Almiron, Longstaff, Murphy etc. Bruce is a fraud.
@@Chriztefur Nope
Also worst manager to never win an England cap! wtf has that to do with his lack of managerial ability. Terry Butcher was a great center back and a bad manager, Gerrard was one of the best players of his generation not so great as a manager. Bruce was a decent manager years ago at Champ level. He's a decade past his sell by date. He had more dosh than Rafa at Newcastle and was gifted a promotion chasing club at West Brom. Both sets of fans hate him with good reason.
yeah, great players those @@paulc2573
Steve Bruce! Hull City legend!!!
Three top blokes
I’d love Steve Bruce at ManU. He’s the manager they deserve
Who remembers Bruce's bullet like side foot penalties. Dude could hit the side netting like Ruud.
Yet Steve you said Managing Newcastle was the Best Day of Your Life apart from the Birth of your Kids?
The best times for Steve is when he gets sacked and receives multi million compensation payouts. Useless, Lazy Fraud. Amanda Stavely didn’t even scratch the surface on how bad this guy really is.
Pinnacle indeed
He would of been a success after Ferguson but I will always feel the natural replacement was Roy Keane as he kind of managed the players anyway even McLaren had to speak to Keane about training and days off and if fergusons ego wasn't so big he would of let Keane retire at Man Utd and bring him in as a number two and show him the ropes like Liverpool did and we would of continued with success and i think Keane thought that would happen, but with the crowd chanting Keane ferguson didn't like it
I think Antony an do Lb ...his defensivenes works been decent
I agree he seems like a left back to me
Why does it feel like people hear this chaos thing and keep saying it we were defending so why won't Bruno drop?
What a daft question " did Keane rule the dressing room back then" 😂 Keane was about two years older than the class of 92 and was only 22/3 when signed and the highest transfer ever and would of been more if he went Blackburn but as if he's going to walk in and rule the dressing room at that age with Robson, Ince,Bruce, Schmeichel,Cantona ,Hughes,McClair,Parker,Irwin there! In a way Fergusons first successful team is my favourite as it was team full of captains and tougher than the crazy gang! Imagine that 93/4 team with the expert training and knowledge of looking after yourself they have today with there mentality, don't think they could be beaten
"once you had his trust it was unbreakable" 😂 countless players would tell you different. Fergusons weakness was ending relationships with a player so he created arguments instead of telling them I don't think your as good anymore. Keane ,Stam, Beckham,Ince, Hughes, Robson etc all just were got rid of
It certainly wouldn't have been the pinnacle for United fans. More like Theatre of Nightmares.
Wouldn't have been worse than Moyes though or that kraut caretaker Ralph R
@@mjsteier TBF, Moyes had massive boots to fill. Ralph R, fitted perfectly into his size 25 clown shoes!
When you see he managed the likes of Birmingham and Hull etc it`s hardly a massive statement.
And took Hull City to a FA Cup final , imagine if he had managed a club that actually gave him a budget to compete, Newcastle didn't did they .
@@mjsteier Schar, Joelinton Longstaff etc these players looked terrible under Bruce. They look good players now. He used to turn up for work at 11 Howe is there at 6am. He gave the players days off so he cold watch cricket ffs. A dinosaur.
@@stuartfoster1 he is to old now , should travel and enjoy all that dosh he took from Newcastle and Villa , but he would probably have them geordies in the same position in the league if he was in charge this season ! Injuries and FFP have done ya . Tough run in for ya aswell .
@@mjsteier Aye like west brom.
@@stuartfoster1 and West Brom gave him under 5 months and 7 free transfer players and 3 undisclosed money signings sacked him after 13 games of the new season with just 3 defeats in there , WBA should have got the playoffs but lost 3 of the last 4 league games. You probably didn't want him from the off cos of his Birmingham and villa roots .
It would have been the pinnacle of mine too but life’s a shithouse.
Steve Bruce talking structure is nothing more than ironic
How deluded to think he could manage Man Utd. His first sentence after every game was “We we’re unlucky”
It doesn't get any better than scoring two goals on the last day of the season to win the premier league as captain of man utd
That doesn't help the clubs he ruins as a manager
@@glennrickelton4093 no but life doesn't get much better than that
That didn’t happen though! It wasn’t the last game of the season
@@BobVance529 thanks I didn't realise that. Still he scored the two goals to send them top of the table in April and basically was the game that won them the league
@@zoomgallygally yeah I think there was about 5 games after this one but the turnaround and villa dropping points that day definitely made it a huge result. Good times
Would rather watch cricket than train. Said Schar could not play in a back 4. Schar has been ever present since . Bruce did so well with west brom? Utter fraud
Steve deserves a good job in the premier league or championship
In the Mickey Mouse league
Aye after taking west brom from promotion candidates to relegation candidates. He is finished.
🤣🤣🤣 Bob Hope No Hope ... it was bad enough having the idiot David Moyes in charge so Steve Bruce as well 🤣🤣🤣
10 years ago maybe, just a bang average club now
he could still end up manager at united lol with clueless jim ratcliffe there now
Not able to manage Manchester United in fifa, let alone real life, what a specialist in failure
He’s always called us ‘Man U’ … pisses me off so much, no one else does!!!
Can't be worse than 'Man Ure'
@@JordiBoy_ well that’s his reason for it then 😂😂 everyone knows United is United and Newcastle is Newcastle.. get to bed 🤣🤣
@@ilovemusic849 😂
Why is it when man united win a game they think they are back at the top already.
Where did they think this?
@@sitaylor everywhere
@@beard6160 Give me one example.
🤣🤡
@sitaylor Easy that's football. It's everywhere you think I'm lieing huh.
Not because he has any input to make just to add to his CV🤦🏼♂️
As if
Steve Bruce would have been miles better than Ten Hag.
Manage Manchester United !Never in a million years would a manager of his tiny ability and management history even get a telephone interview for the job.😂
