I have t1 calc destroyer that i use for salvaging. Its pretty chill salvaging wrecks after a misson. That feel nice making money of wrecks.

Or just put Cargo Expander in the destroyer lows. Should be enough to carry the valuable loot all the time. Saves you the time to dock and switch ships. Get the tech II salvage tackle and Salvager Tech II and you cant even lock up fast enough most of the time. And you will run out of power a lot.

I personally use a dragoon for salvaging, salvage drones plus the salvagers on the dragoon clear sites quick. I've also made it a habit to throw salvagers on say a passive shield Regen myrm to clear c2 sites. Plop down the mtu and orbit it, throw out your drones. I have auto targeting so they just go out and murder. Then as the loot comes in I salvage each one. It might be slower but it's YT and Netflix friendly. I'd say it's about the same as gas huffing in a venture for me. Depends on the wormhole I'm in and the sites that are around what I go for. I don't do much hi sec or low sec farming. I liked dragoon because you can load it with combat drones and Put some pulses on it give it a little oomph, but when you were done you could pull out a couple salvage drones and clear the wrecks without sacrificing dps.
I just started back up and I like salvaging but cannot find ships, what do I do? just doing the ships I kill in missions so far. but I see a lot on my map sometimes but cannot get to them
Looking forward to trying out the new tech2 salvage drones when I get round to getting some
Check out the faction salvage drones, the "Dunk" drones. Only take a couple days to train into and they have a better chance to salvage than the T2's. Drawback being the 10 mil a piece price tag. But after cleaning up a few missions they pay for themselves :)

Dunk Dinkle drones has a ring to it as well. 😀 I think it’s great that CCP do (eventually) listen to people who put in the effort to petition them enough and also name them after them as well. What with Aceyfacey’s videos and Dunks ones I have now found on CZcams, with his “ohh cheers’ salutes I am thinking of putting a pilot in Brave.

You do awesome content, and you can see that passion. But question: currently I'm using gila and friends ratting in ns, making money for rattlesnake, any advice or video of how to fit rattlesnake for ns ratting for cheap? Ps: watching you from when you bought paladin keep the good stuff :)
Depends on the site u do mate ...I have a working fit but the cost alone is around 3bil (not mine saw it in youtube but tried it in sisi and works fine ) and see the traits of the ship and build accordingly and the what type of rat ur fighting against.as for rattle they are good with drones if ur omega then u can use sanetry drones and 3*drone damage amplifier on low slot,mid use for shield resist if the rat u fighting against and shield rep and targeting range amp and top go for cruise missile and for left over low slot use missile dange and pression or full missile damage modifier alone

The good range for crusier missile would around 50 to 55km the damage done to rat with this range will be little more then long or very shot.. forgot to mention this but cruise missile is good choice then heavy or rapid heavy according to me. I will try to find the fit for you

I wouldn't rat in a rattle snake in null, due to the price of loosing it when you die. If you are considering changing from a Gila, I would fly an Ishtar

A year later, I know, and probably been asked before, but...
How effective might it be to setup a salvaging corp in null? Most of the big alliances do run these combat sites and have tons of people doing it.
I was concidering joining up/starting a corp and almost exclusively buying salvage rights from these ratters. 1-5 mil per site, and I keep whatever I find. With the creation of MTU's the likelihood of finding good loot is low, but if they used an MTU, the wrecks would be super close together.
I started doing this with lvl 4 missions around Dodixie years ago and did fairly well, but there weren't many runners and even fewer of them bit at my "advertisements" in local. With such a "captive audience" and all the sites being in one area, might a Pro-Synergy type corp be able to function?

@@blackishpariah problem with that is 2 fold. First, I'm mostly a solo player and I have a short attention span. I don't want to get tied down to just 1 big alliance or even necessarily to salvaging. 2. Salvage/loot is valuable. When I ran with Brave I salvaged and looted all my own sites for the buyback program. It wasn't super effective at isk/hr but I'm not looking to plex my account, so I didn't care. So providing a "purchase fee" allows me to loot the wrecks and provides tangible benefit to the other players. Yes, they're missing out on 15m but they're getting part of that back without having to do the boring part. Win/Win.
Only down side is buying a contract that hasn't been properly abandoned or has despawned. The first is easy to deal with. Ignore anyone who screws you multiple times. At 5-10 mil, its not a big loss. Second, see when the contract was sent. If it's been too long, don't take it. Simple.
Ganking isn't really a problem because they'd have to scan you down first, then with cheap dessys it's not even worth gankers time. Even if they do gank, im out 15-20m. Easy to replace. Noctis is a bit harder to justify, but not totally out of the question either.
One suggestion I have is to run an auto-targeting module on the coercer to save you some clicks!

yeah but sansha space is the best for it as i know. im in guristas space and salvage is only like 1-2 mil . loot is like 6-8 mil but i do a bit smaller sites(forsaken hubs)
