    • @Zoco101
      @Zoco101 Před rokem +1

      Nobody should make the decision for you, and at these prices you'll have to accept some limitations.
      The FP10 probably has the best action of the ones you listed, though I would buy the Alesis Prestige Elite, because it is bristling with nice features, and I'm OK with the action. The Yamaha P-121 (73 keys) is pretty good, and cheaper than the P-125 which has 88 keys. Do you really need 88 at entry level? The action on the P-121 & P-125 is a bit slow, but a lot of people still like it. These pianos have great sounds and speakers too - so they are probably the safest bet. The PX-S1100 is excellent, but the key sticks are a bit short for some players. You do need to try these instruments if at all possible.
      The Korg B2 seemed quite nice to me but not as nice as the Alesis Prestige Elite. The new Kawai ES120 looks promising, and so does the Gewa PP-3 which features a Steinway Model D sample. I suspect the PP-3 is the best one of all of these for classical music practice.

    • @jeffeason853
      @jeffeason853 Před rokem

      No one knows (or is saying) if the display problem is solved. But so many of these keyboards have been made and are in the supply chain at this point you should assume anything you buy right now was probably manufactured several months ago (when there was definitely a problem). You may or may not get a bad one - but since Yamaha Customer Service is NOT GOOD you need to make sure you buy from a reliable dealer with excellent customer service (even if you pay a little more for the keyboard) who will accept returns during the warranty period and let them deal with Yamaha! Good luck. I hope you can find a good dealer in your area.

    Hello.. Can i start by asking how were you able to download the app (you showed here 6:35). i checked on the website and they show a photo, but no link to download. i just bought the Midiplus Vboard 49 .. it looks exactly identical to your keyboard (they are the same), but it doesn't say "Carry on" (it says Vboard). With Chinese products you can often find the same item with different brand names.. (clones). In any event.. i'm trying to find out if this keyboard can RECEIVE BACK MIDI signals?? (not just send out). And if it can, how would i enable it to do so. i'm using it as a controller for my DAW (on my laptop) and what i play into my DAW (Native Instruments Maschine) i want to have the MIDI data sent back to the keyboard controller, to play the sounds on an app i'm using on my iPad. (Those sounds play when connected via bluetooth to the controller - but i have not found a way to sync my iPad directly with my Laptop). Do you know if this Keyboard can also RECEIVE MIDI BACK after its played/sent MIDI?

    I got the 88 and 49 version but this one is a newer model. I do NOT have midi over USB.
    Therefore i got this question: does this version also make “computer keyboard” type of sounds when you type the keys?
    The previous versions are very “clicky” and kind of make noise when you try to use this when e.g. My girlfriend is sleeping in the living room or when i am practicing somewhere with headphones where other people are reading for example. The Previous ones are NOT touch sensitive and therefore i hope that the keys on this model sound a LITTLE less “clicky”.

    Confused. You didn’t name the keyboard in the video, and the ones linked in the description aren’t the one in the video. What is the keyboard in the video?

    How’s the velocity sensibility of this keyboard ?

    • @izzard
      @izzard Před rokem

      It's a bit twitchy and granular. It feels like there are maybe 3-6 levels of sensitivity. It's hard to play softly, because below a certain velocity/pressure it simply doesn't trigger notes at all. And it's quite easy to accidentally leap up to a loud note. There are different modes for the sensitivity though: soft, default, hard and custom. The first three don't seem to make much difference but I haven't tried a custom curve. The velocity sensitivity can also be turned off.

      @@izzard i used it on my iPad and depending on the app, the velocity (touch) sensitivity can be so so, or excellent. i also used it on my Laptop with Native Instruments Maschine Expansions, and the Spectrasonics Keyscape that he has listed here.. and the Velocity Sensitivity is excellent. When i touch the keys softly the sound is low, lay on it harder, and its loud. So it could depend on the source (the app you're using it with). There is a way to adjust it.
