that 699 price is insane you can get so much in the red dot market for around 400 bucks why should I even consider anything that's nearing double the price of a rmr. sig is yanking them self's I love sig stuff but dang give us normal folks a break now and then.
The actual price is in the low $500's and between this, the 3 XL, and the SRO they fairly well dominate on the high end competition guns around here. I see a lot more of the 3 XL's than the Max's though.

@@Landoftheignorant yep and that’s a good thing even if the sig faithful take 10% of SRO sales supply and demand changes and so will price.
I use the Gen2 flat button R3Max optics in competition and prefer it to my SRO’s . Great glass and clear dot , good controls. A solid performer. But if you don’t compete , this isn’t for you . I’ll be replacing some of my R1Pros with this version eventually.

They have specifically said that it is a lower optic body than the original R3 Max that will allow cowitness with suppressor height iron sights

I’m not spending more than $400 for a pistol red dot. Prices have come down so I’m a hard no on Sig.
The deck height is lower then a DPP but i dont think that makes it worth the price

Offer green Sig. You are falling behind.
Green is honestly the worst optic dot color to run.
Despite there being plenty of red that can be in any given environment there is far more chance to come across greens that wash out and have you lose your dot easier than with a black etched reticle or a red dot optic.
Green dots are around thanks to fuddlore, "the human eye can pick up green easier" yes, but the majority of the natural world is covered in green or by green
