1:35 James Reeves, Esq, grilling the Sig rep properly on Cross examination.
2:46 when he folds the stock, that noise threw me off so bad lol😅
1:35 James Reeves, Accuracy International has clearly shown that when properly engineered, you can have great accuracy with quick change barrels. Barret MRAD also has this feature.
That would be a good platform for the 277. It would come out extremely fast from such long barrel.
can't wait to find out what sig "teething issue" this one has
I’ve been waiting for the Sig Cross in 7mm PRC.
I like the idea of being able to get the proof research barrel out of the box.
For me, the abbreviated hand guard with shortened ARCA rail and the color are big turn offs.
Sig killing it
Would have been nice to show the balance point of the rifle after you mention removing some of the arca rail.
Cool video
Cross LT 6mm ARC. Like the Mini Fix
A spear costs 4500 but this costs 2500 and a sig raider is like 1600? Makes sense 👍🏻
These manufacturers are using no lube at all
So for 4100 u can have a sick bf4 load out of a sniper rifle and a pdw backup
Some people pay extra for no lube.
the guy who runs sig is literally jewish
@@920utdoors9 Or buy a M40 (R700) and and a M9 for less than 2K
@@920utdoors9for 4100 I can buy a Christensen Arms MPR 338 Lapua and have spare change for training and ammo.
I’m guess that somebody mandated that it needed to be a pound lighter, and after they put it the proof barrel and it didn’t meet the weight target they had to start cutting on the handguard until
It hit the weight target.
Please give us a Mini Cross in 6mm ARC!
Agreed!
Are you reloading 6 arc ?
James asking the real questions 😅
green 😍
This seem to me to be a very light rifle for the caliber.
I would like to see this in 338 lapua magnum
A sub 10 pound 338 lapua magnum chassis bolt action rifle seem interesting.
300 prc is the same overrall length has the 338 lapua magnum but has a larger diamenter of .532 compare to .587 base on my research online.
1.5 pound for the increase in diameter seem resonable.
Love to see a carbon butt option like the XLR.
Please make the Sig Traxx in 6.5 Creedmoor. Thanks!!!!
The regular Sig Cross comes in 6.5 Creedmoor.
300 PRC 🎉 want one in 20” but still I’ll take this
Why 20? Especially with a PRC?
A cool gun that I’d like a friend to buy so I could shoot it once or twice. 👍🏻
It will take once or twice back to the factory just to get it working at all so I'm sure there will be people lining up to sell it like the original model and every other sig
Love this rifle in 7PRC but $2,800 seems too steep.
Your paying for muti cal set up. It's worth the money. One scope and all the barrel you want
When is this firearm gonna be available for consumers?
Just come out with a Magnum bolt for the Sig Cross and call it a day.
sounds like a warzone there
Why green with a highly polished brake?
Because it was slapped together before this event by a couple of morons at Sig. also because no one actually cares if it makes sense, only if it looks cool.
0:53 jesus, that scared the crap out of me. I thought it went off all by itself. I hear that happens sometimes.
😂
Sweet rifle. Putting a magpul bipod on a nice precision rifle is like an F1 driver having an ugly umbrella girl. Two things that just don't go together. Nearly pointless and definitely doesn't look good in the process.
Seems like a good rifle, but I wish they would have come out with it in a 20-inch barrel version🤤 between 2000$ - 2500$. I would have bought it
As an eastern hunter, companies sell to western hunters because 1) western hunting is hot right now, and 2) they can charge them more money for fancier stuff. Most folks around here readily accept that all you really need is a lever gun. In fact, I have a SIG Cross, that I love, and will freely admit that it's wholly unnecessary for where I live - and sometimes, it's straight up impractical. Often times, I still take my Winchester 94.
"... and 300-whatever-the-F****" 🤣
Can't wait for the recalls
The short hand guard is tragic imo. The minor ounces shaved aren’t worth the loss of protection of the barrel and options for barrier bracing and tripods further out.
Never once have I thought, “I wish this 24” barrel had a super short rail.”
I have one ordered, but I’ll immediately ditch the rail for the standard magnum one and just deal with them being two different colors.
Please stop making it obvious how little you know
I highly doubt you have carried a rifle up mountains going after big game. This gun is clearly designed as a hunting rifle.
3:12 isnt it Florida culture to eat roadkill instead of hunting? ;-)
sig coping AI now
Nearly 9lb rifle as light weight is hilarious
Does it still have the auto fire feature?
I hope so!
I'm impressed by SIG's commitment to performance and innovation, especially with options like the 7 PRC and 300 PRC calibers.
Only 99 payments of $9999.99!!!
300 rum says why bother.
Does it fire when touching the bolt handle?
That was Remington
@jonathansmith7306 the sig cross was recalled for firing without touching the trigger.
It’s been resolved
@@msquared9605 shouldn't have even been an issue that needed resolving to begin with...
@@Watchdog_McCoy_5.7x28 I feel like sig has been pushing out too many projects (as in products) recently
that's great... I can buy 3 of my rifles with optics and ammo for that ridiculous price
This ain't ur grandpas model 700
@@920utdoors9 That "grandad" Remington M700 is just as accurate and costs 1/3 of what this SIG costs.
This means you can purchase all of the calibers you want and have 3 full rifles, like 338LM, 300WM, and 7MM Rem-Mag.
thats because you have cheap rifles and optics
@@tiny_tex bro I was thinking the same thing
Maybe if you want shitty rifles with airsoft optics.
Not impressed with the 308 cross I bought. 1.5-2” groups even with hand loads. Then the odd .75” when the barrel is a tad warm. No thanks. Stick with a savage in a mdt chassis. Same ammo 1” and under.
Sounds like a shooter issue. I’ve shot 2 different ones that grouped 3/4” with factory ammo. Hand loading should be under 1/2”
@@jeffwilliams3436this is all just off thie internetz but Ive been hearing the crosses have been hit or miss with accuracy.
Sig is PSA with better lobbyists.
o look! "F southpaws"!
If the action can't take 300 norma then gaaayyyyy. If it can then I'll buy one
Lol, semi-flat trigger. So a curved trigger.
Just rather buy a Fix in 8.6 😂😂😂😂
No, just no. Sig needs to hire legit bolt gun people to develop bolt guns. Exactly 0 people will ever shoot this rifle in PRS.
No.targets lets see targets
It'll explode or go off when it's not supposed to, Sig will take a year to perfect it, Sig won't tell people what they changed, and people will still pay $3000 for one.
is sig becoming the "walmart" of the gun world?
How so?
@@trevordbb because they seem to be making every type of gun possible? To fit just about anyone’s needs?
@@gixxerlouis That would be more akin to PSA. Spend less, live better.
That's a no for me, dawg.
So they call it a "magnum action" but it's in .300 Win Mag, which is a long action cartridge. Sig doing 3 braincell Sig things or can I actually expected to rechamber this into a not obsolescent magnum rifle cartridge like .300 PRC? And can a gun running MIM bolt components even handle real magnum pressures and not spicy .30-06 pressures?
They said it's coming in .300 PRC and 7PRC. The 300wm was the first long action caliber they made.
Unfortunately, 8.5 lbs is not even close to lightweight.
Unfortunately you need to hit the gym 😅
@@sidneyhuckabee3598Bruh no one who wants to backpack hunt wants to take an unnecessarily heavy gun.
Idk if you ever been inna woods but there's no one to flex your cool chasis rifle
The weight reduction is offset by lightening your wallet considerably.
@@newerest1going with the real downside to hunting with a rifle like this is getting your sling all wrapped up in the stupid stock. Learned that with a fix
It's for magnum calibers like 338 lapua and 300 win mag. Do you really want to go lighter?
Typical sig junk
Thats a lot of money for a cheaply manufactured rifle.
That hilarious…Proof research wouldn’t have partnered with them if it was a garbage rifle.
@@jeffwilliams3436proof sold them barrels nothing more.. Remember Savage the cheapest rifle manufacturer around uses proof barrels because they where sold to the manufacturer nothing more
WOW!!!!LOOKS LIKE SIG COPIED THE FIX JUST NOT AS GOOD 👍....SIG=SHITGUNS
