Q1. Assume if using Navigation it will open Google maps on your phone instead of your android auto program on your car. Pity. Q2 if someone else wants to use presume they will need to add the device to their own Alexa app?
Fantastic review! You thought of stuff I wouldn't have thought to ask like what happens if the car is off. Here is my concern. Say you have a smart watch connected to your phone and then you crank the car up. Usually my phone connects to my car. I'm afraid it will not automatically connect to my Echo Auto and/or I will probably lose the connect to my smart watch. Any thoughts? (I assume most bluetooth devices can only have 2 connections at once.)
If I used my USB slot for other things I would have, but I don't use my USB slot for anything, so it makes sense for me, kias get a hard time 😂 but tbh, it's a great little car for a great price 👌
@@charlieschannel4192 Using a hardwire kit would free up your USB slot. Yeah I can't talk about cars. I have a Corsa. lol. I hate it. The plus side with the hardwire kit is it cuts power if your battery gets too low to start the car. They're really easy to install too. Great video btw thank you for uploading it.
I cant get my head around this, why not just have your phone open in auto mode with alexa, does the same thing deosnt it? (well it does for me). It it that the battery drains less on phone?
Hi! I read that you can only phone 10 contacts and they need to have Alexa. Is that true? Can you phone an unlimited number of contacts as long as they're in your phone? Can you dial any number even not in your contacts list? Thanks for your help and great video!
The other issue is that whlilst listening to your great review, I have to keep saying, "Alex.... Stop". LOL!
Haha sorry 🤣
you can mute your echo by pressing the mute button on the top of your Echo.
3:27 - Tip for getting the USB plug in first time. Look at the two little squares beforehand, black is top and white is bottom. Always black side up.
Excellent review thanks
Good bro. Clear details explained
Great review, I’m getting one!!! Thanks 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thankyou!! 👌👌
Good one. I have a gen1, seems to be the same so I doubt that I'll upgrade. Thanks for the demo 👍
Thanks for the video… Me and my gorgeous 17 year old Saab convertible have not yet arrived in Bluetooth world, so you have saved me 60 quid! 😂
Excellent tutorial ~thank you!! Oh, & you ain't lying about plugging in a USB wrong everytine, LOL~I thought it was just me! 🤣😂
I got it because i like to just be able to get into the car and say what music i want and its playing
Great video. Thank you!
Cheers. I bet that even if Alexa isn't listening (probably is), Google and Siri definitely are!
you mentioned 'find my car' feature - what is that? i couldn't find info on that online anywhere. would love to know more about it.

You can change the activation word to 3 other things if you are having rogue activation issues.
Instead of swapping about listen to radio via Alexa?
Or is that not a thing...
Useful vid cheers
thanks good review, wasnt your aux on the left of your usb
Yes it is

I'm not sure , i don't use a amart watch, so sorry I can't help 🫣😂
My Alexa went mental at home, next time if possible bleep the word Alexa
😂😂
@@charlieschannel4192 lol i had to keep shouting STOP, weather in Beijing is nice this time of year tho.
If you don't have a USB can you use the adapter in the cigarette lighter socket?
Yes you can
I have the first gen one mainly for phone calls. Is this one better when making receiving calls?
I cant compare as I never had the gen 1 , but making and receiving calls is very easy 👌
What is the difference between using Echo Auto and just using Alexa on your cellphone?
😂 I'm not sure, I'll have to find out
Microphone strength - your phone won't be as good at listening over wind and engine noise; the auto can even hear over the top of medium-loud music.
I live in the us and i was literally about to ask why he was sitting on the wrong side of the car😂
We're not on the wrong side.....you are!! 😂
LOL😅@@charlieschannel4192
Do you always have to have the app open on your phone when you use the echo?
No you don't need to have the app open, as long your Bluetooth is on, your all good 👌👌
wish you beeped out the word ALEXA.. my echo is having a fit calling my mother ahahah - good clear review though, thank you :)
Soz 🤣🤣
Which data/Internet is it using ? this part is missing from the review ? does it use mobile data ?
Yes it would use your mobile data 👊
I'd get a fuse box wiring kit to install it to your A post.
Dash Cam Hardwire Kit. It would work with the Echo Auto.
Oh, one last thing. Congratulations, you've doubled the value of your Kia. 😉

Does this get it's Internet from your phone?
That's correct

It is true if your car have Bluetooth. My car does not have Bluetooth. This little device does help.
Can you just say Alexa play ac/dc and it does! I don't want to have to touch the phone at all. I might try that tomorrow.
How's it for calls? Reason I ask is my car for calls is awful mic wise.
I've had no issues since I 1st bought it, the sound is good and the mic picks up everything really well, great bit of kit 👌
Which Dad? Alexa definitly knows some secret that you don’t. 😢
She's just nosey 😂
😂😂😂
the first one was terrible it kept disconnecting from the app
Since I put it in the car I havnt had an issues with it 👌
It's a problem if you get it in the wong way mate.

you should add amazon affiliate link could have made few grand from this video
Thought I already did 😂👌
just save yourself some money and wires in your car and use your alexa app on your phone
does the same thing
1st Gen was fine until they started to make it shitty with stuttering and other issues with firmware. Just so they can sell new ones. Annoying
There is one more thing included in the package, a free dad.
Don't stick your hand through your steering wheel while you're driving.😮
Apple Play Sari will not answer questions when driving…
Bro, you mom has a lot to explain about your daddies 😂
Why not use your Google Assistant and save the cash of buying an Echo Auto?
Never thought of Google assistant, but tbf alexa has been faultless for me 😂
You're steering wheel is on the wrong side....
😂😂😂 no my freind, your on the wrong side
@@charlieschannel4192 but your steering wheel is on the Right side!
Just get alexa on your phone and safe that money.
Why do the iPhone generation say “Aux”, pronouncing it - “Orx” when it’s auxiliary…. Like “Faux” pronouncing it as “Fox”, when it’s pronounced “Fo”…..
