I finally got my hands on the Echo Show 10 Motion so this is my full comprehensive review of said echo if I missed anything please comment and I'll get back with you asap 💯 ❤️ - Zábava
Can you add 3rd party apps to the show 10? I use the Plex app religiously and would buy if the show 10 allows me to use it
Plex as in the music player? Yes, the Show can play Plex. It's one of the skills so you would just log in, and then the echo will play whatever you want through plex.
This is great! I bought it for my 92 yo Mom in her nursing home. I put family pictures on it & I use the “drop in” feature to check on Mom daily. We also do video calls that she loves!!!😊

I just bought one of these on Cyber Monday. Reg price $249, got it for $169. That's the only reason I bought it. Pretty cool piece of tech. I set it up to my security system and it runs everything except the cameras. Which is the main thing I wanted to use. We watch the dog when she goes out to do her business. This unit is not compatible with our ADC wireless cameras. Wyze is the preferred choice, but already having 5 cameras not adding more at this time.
What brand of cameras do you have?

Thanks for your feedback. Background music is a hit or miss for some viewers. Can you please explain why you hate it? It will help me make better videos 🙂
@@AtHomewithLucas So. The video is over 16 minutes long and the same loop keeps playing over and over and over. It’s really redundant and is sure to get annoying, not just to people who aren’t fans of background music, but anybody. The volume of the track during your commentary is loud, especially when you were testing out the Shows camera. It’s distracting and kind of devalues what you’re saying, which is very valuable. If you take anything away from my comment- just turn down the background music a bit during commentary. You are the star, we want to hear what you’re saying, not the sleepy time music. Best wishes!

I own the white and black 3rd gen echo show 10s and in my opinion they are the best shows. They perform flawlessly and there is nothing negative I can say about them. I haven't purchased the show 15 because I just do not like it and there isn't anything that makes it stand out. Unless Amazon introduces an extraordinary show that is earth shattering I will be sticking with my 10s.
Yeah same. The 15 just looks like a tiny tv. Like it even has the Fire Tv now. Lol kinda a joke

Yes, this Echo is still in my kitchen doing well. But I still never use the motion tracking. I feel it's not used by most people.
Hi, thinking of getting one to replace my old cd/radio on my kitchen bench top.
I’ve got a couple of questions, hopefully you can answer them for me. (before I buy it)
1. Can I link any blue headphones (or my apple air pods) ?
2. Can I download other apps onto it, eg other radio apps, eg, (iHeart radio, ABC news), or KAYO, (which is a sports app.?) for my husband to continue watching the sport n the kitchen . Or 3rd apps, like popcorn movies.?
If all this can be done, I will be one happy lady in the kitchen 😊
Yes to everything except sports not sure exactly what they have to offer. But I know they are adding many things to what the echo can do daily. I just like to ask Alexa things. So you could ask "play sports" and see what happens.
These are just $160 now and I want one for no reason whatsoever. I've already got FIVE Echo 5s all over the house. But I want the Show 10.

@@AtHomewithLucas Oh, I didn't even realize you could do that. It's a triple win because I got one of my 5s for $18 when I bought a $100 Amazon gift card: it was on sale for $36 and I got $120 for $100 on the gift card. Sold. (They give you $20 for a used Echo 5.)

Now I see why people are complaining that when they turn it off it moves , sometimes considerably , and that's do to no locks for the moving part and maybe it's not on a level surface . I too think the display should be mounted on top of the speaker , doing it that way would probably be easier on the motors and make it not miss a beat on tracking , also it probably would sound better
Yes, when I get an update overnight, I'll come into the kitchen, and my echo will be moved. It's so annoying. But other than that, it's a great echo.

In the box one of the papers is a template that you put down on the countertop that will tell you how much room it needs to rotate

I think if I move it to my half wall in my kitchen, I turn it on. But my setup is pointless because i can see the screen, and the camera can see me everywhere in my kitchen.
Can you use to to view your blink doorbell?
Yes, you can, and you can make it notifie you when someone is at your front door.
You can wall mount to save space, Amazon sell a specific wall mount.
Have you ever wall mounted an Echo? I have always thought about doing that but never have.

The cable doesn't bother you? I think seeing the power cabe running down the wall would mess with my mind lol 😆
@@AtHomewithLucasI hide the cable behind a unit,I'm not a fan of the spatial audio on the show 8 3rd gen so I've replaced it with another show 10 3rd gen they sound better.

Great question...yes and no. If you need a screen that moves with great speakers, then yes. Also, Amazon just announced the new OS will come on new echos and select older echos. My guess is the 3rd gen 10 show will get the big update soon.

I have 1I do like it The only negative I can think of is Every time the electricity goes out or I have to reboot ITIT wants to spin around So My lamp is in the way And multiple other things are in the way so I have to move all the stupid things out of the way Before it can Start functioning again and then I never let it move I wish I could disable Move it move it the motion I know I disabled the motion But it still does it When it is rebooted.
Yes this thing moving is very annoying. Mine moves less then when I first got it. I would guess most people don't use the motion and I think it was more of a gimmic. 🤷♂️😁
How’s the echo working now bud? I just bought 2 and had one replaced. Nothing is showing on “now playing” no music nothing. Poor product
Mine still works great. I've had it plugged into my kitchen and use it every day. But I have had a few glitches, but unplugging for 10 seconds fixes them every time. 🙂
@@AtHomewithLucas definitely not. I can send you a video of mine not showing anything playing. Nothing in “now playing” works correctly
Oh no, I'd return it asap! If the return window has ended, I'd call Amazon and try to get a new unit under warranty. It's worth a shot 🤷♂️

If you are talking about playing the same song on multiple Echos at the same time. You need to make a group.
Open the Alexa app
Click Devices (bottom middle)
Scroll to the bottom
Click Combine speakers
Then click (Multi-room music)

Better off getting a bose speaker and use your phone, this is a pointless device. Just an overpriced intercom. Cant load apps onto it for video chat, what’s the point of it 🤷🏼♂️
Oh, the point is whole house automation with smart devices. The point is speakers all over your house that give you notifications and play sleep sounds when you are napping your kids or putting them to bed for the night. The point is to turn off lights, switches, and see what's going on outside by checking your security cameras.
These devices are the smartphones of the home, and people who don't understand the point of them are just like the people with flip phones in the early 2000's going who needs a smartphone. Not trying to be mean but I personally can't live without them lol 🤷♂️

I'm not trying to convince you to get an echo. I'm just saying lots of people run their houses through an echo. If you told me 8 years ago, I'd be having this conversation about echos I'd have laughed. But now I have an echo in every room of my house (and garage/backyard), and it's totally normal now, lol 😆
But trust me, I'm using my phone for everything, including filming and editing this CZcams channel, so if I can not use it to turn on the lights, I will.
