It's misleading to include Chamberlain garage door opener as an Alexa accessory. It has NOTHING to do with Alexa. Chamberlain needs to stop being cheap and pony up for voice assistant control.
I have never found a way to have MyQ Chamberlain garage door opener work with Alexa. There is not a Chamberlain skill. How did you do it?
Chamberlain doesn't allow you to use any external system to open your door, but they do allow some systems to close the door. My advice, after owning a "Chamber-lane" as the pronounced I the video, is to not buy one in the first place.
It used to be possible. I was doing it for awhile, three years ago. It is no longer possible.

Why are you showing a black NFC phone panel when unlocking the August lock, when August does not sell one of these? This is for item number 10. The lock only works with the phone, or the apple watch or the keypad. I don't see a NFC pad for sale on their sight for the door.

This list is full of good ideas for newbs, but the products listed are easily replaced with better and less expensive options in many cases. I'd highly suggest looking into alternative products if these ideas peak your interest, especially with regard to the smart garage door opener from chamberlain. I'm not a fan of paying a subscription for basic functions when better, and often times less expensive options are available. That said, I do like the Alexa clock and had no idea something like that even existed. Can't say I've ever felt a need for it, but I think I need one now... Well that was short lived! After looking at the echo clock it may be the biggest flop from Amazon ever. Questionable battery life and lots of reported issues keeping time. I'll continue my quest for better alternatives.

I have fully robotized my flat. Ultimately is it a maid, home alarm, music system, climate control using Vornado fan and humidifier. Google Home and Tuya platforms. The humidifier is as good as AC with ice cold water.
I owned the Levoit 300S humidifier that works with Alexa, but sadly I came home one day and it was off for some reason and it just wouldn't turn back on! I was going to buy a couple more identical units for each room to balance out the humidity throughout the house but that plan got scratched now.

If I turn off my wifi can I still use Alexa to turn it back on using my cell phone? My wife insists on turning our wifi off at night. She thinks it unhealthy.
Since there are no options available for offline operation, Alexa and Echo devices need the internet in order to operate at their full potential. They require constant access to the Amazon network, and they can only achieve this via an internet connection.
Wifi is unhealthy? I think wifi signals are one of the most unhealthy once since they lack power. Being paranoid about those Cell towers make sense but WIFI, no I dont they'd do much harm .

That's what I tried to explain to her.
It's good to reset the wifi daily anyway. It improved the connection for some reason.
