      Thanks a lot for the support. I can't monetize, because it doesn't work in China where I am now. And in my country (Cape Verde), it doesn't work there either 🤭. But thanks for the comment, it's good to know that people are getting something from these videos. 🙏

    Ive slipped up after 3years of being keto and lowering my a1c to non diabetic numbers. Now after having allowed few chips and popcorn into my diet and not much say about popcorn 3 times a month and a handful of potatoe chips about 6 times a month and adding back in rice although 1/2 the serving my a1c is now at prediabetic numbers again. I cannot let up on my keto diet. I am going back to less than 60 carbs a day now. No i dont eat any candy or sweets, apples etc. The only fruit would be blueberries and strawberries. So yes I am hyper sensitive. Oh well. Ill feel better and in 2 weeks I wont be as miserable. Its either I listen to my body or be sick. I dont and wont take any medication either. So I only have myself to count on.

      Your description sounds normal. Most people who go on keto tend to get worse if they go back to previous food. But there's one important factor: Do you exercise?

      @@Type-2-Diabetes i do. In days when its not extremely cold i do go walking indoor tracks. When weather permits and not cold to trigger asthma even wearing a mask I go walking around the block in neighborhood. I do use hand weights and lower body exercises 5 times a week.

      @@Type-2-Diabetes i was hyper sensitive before. Nothing hasnt changed. It still gets me sweaty, thirsty, have to unrinate. Only during spikes. I,know when its going up fast. But back to earth now and doing the right things.

      @Type-2-Diabetes  Před 4 lety

      6.5 is not two high. However your FBG and PPBG are a little high. I don't think your next A1c will be lower if you stay the same. Are you overweight or not?

      @@Type-2-Diabetes my 6.5 percent 3 months ago then i check it was 6.2 percent.
      What is ppbg?
      I am 5 by 8 and weighs 87 kg.
      BMI 29.5

    • @Type-2-Diabetes
      @Type-2-Diabetes  Před 4 lety +2

      That's high. I think your pancreas is still good enough for you to have a BMI of 29, so you need to focus on what you eat and exercise. For you weight loss is an easy way to control your A1c. About COVID-19, I suggest you stay at home if you can (BMI and Blood pressure are also factors). PPBG= Postprandial Blood Glucose.

    Very good. So we know that low carbohydrate diets have a positive affect on glucose control. How do we avoid A G E Advanced Glycation End from the foods that most of use type 2 diabetics eat to avoid high blood sugar?

    • @Type-2-Diabetes
      @Type-2-Diabetes  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks. Things that lower your A1c normally lower you AGEs as well. It's almost the same process at a different stage. Things that are glycated can lead to the formation of AGEs. But I don't know what foods specifically you are talking about.

    New follower! Found you through Beat Diabetes. If you've lowered your A1C through diet and exercise, and lost weight are you still more likely to die of complications from an illness?
