Even on the cover picture, I don’t feel like the pink in the background works very well. I also think you might prefer the ice one since it’s a hand-dyed 28ct, like you were commenting on at the beginning of the video. The 32ct one might be too tight for the beads. So so pleased on your new job offer. You definitely seemed much more like your old self in this video. Also, glad to hear someone else uses the same thread colour as bead when sewing beads on. I did this on my Mirabilia, I wasn’t sure it was the right thing to do. My fabric is a brown colour & I didn’t want to use this colour for my beads. Love your little stitch an inch.

Yes, please share a WIP parade! I live in Quincy, IL in the summer and we go to a RV park in St Charles often…I used to go to a wonderful cross stitch on Manchester Road but it closed. Can’t wait to go to the new Color and Cotton store next spring when we get back from Florida! I have been to stitch, etc in Farmington once.. it is a charming shop and the mother and daughter were extremely welcoming and helpful.

WIP parade would be awesome! I like the pink blue and purple for the Joan Elliot. The other fabric is also pretty but I would be concerned some of lighter colors towards the bottom would get lost. Colour and Cotton threads are my favorite hand-dyed threads. Congrats on the job offer!Happy stitching!

I’m still in the middle of your video but I like the first fabric better. I think it provides more contrast and will make the stitching take center stage more. Both would look lovely, though. For the record, I think your fabric choices are fantastic. Don’t sell yourself short. 😊💕

For the Princess of the Snow, both fabrics will work beautifully. The icy blue and white is more subdued while the other is definitely the more bold choice, which is a stretch for me because I lack confidence in picking fabrics. I did wonder though if your stitching would be more prominent on the blue and white. Sometimes with more heavily mottled fabric I have a hard time focusing on the design. It’s as if my eyes have no where to land and many of the exquisite details are lost. The blue and white would be my choice. Happy Holidays to you!

Yes we can tell it is a sheep, 😅. Your Randle Spangle piece has amazing detail for a mini. Love the fabric you are stitching Sabrina, I use white nymo thread to stitch my beads on as the white takes on the colour of the fabric and neighbouring thread and doesn’t change the colour of the beads. Maybe every week you pull out one of your very old wips and give it some love, then reward yourself at the end of the month with a Mira/Nora new start? I am going to try something similar, my reward is a Mira/Nora/Bella pattern purchase. I look forward to seeing your Joan Elliott start, you have made my get twitchy to start one of mine from stash, either fabric will be stunning.

Absolutely love all of your progress!! The Randall Spangler looks fantastic, especially considering it’s a mini; I can imagine the confetti nightmare it has been though 😂 I did go and download the cross stitch app and imputed all of my projects into it, which is awesome! I’ve been slowly listing my stash as well which has been a savior with my poor memory on what in the world I have stashed away. I keep forgetting that it tracks time and stitches!! I’ll have to remember to do try that feature out during my next stitching session. As a top right girlie, I always appreciate seeing others start there, even if only for a single project! 😂 That’s really good progress on your dad’s present!! I just found your channel very recently so I haven't seen the videos where you talked about it, but no one deserves to be abused and be so unhappy with their job. I hope your new position will the be perfect fit it sounds to be! Yes, yes, yes, YES PLEASE--a full WIP parade!!! I don't stitch pretty lady sort of designs so I feel completely unqualified to say which fabric suits the pattern better, but my unqualified two cents is that I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. :)

I find the multiple colors in the background distracting from the main pattern, though the second fabric resembles the cover page most. Good luck going forward on the new job!

Yes, I think the Cracked Ice is the one I’ll go with. I was reminded that the design has beads… which is why I like the 28 count hand dyed fabrics for beaded projects. And I think the design might pop more on a background with fewer colors. Thanks for the advice! ☺️💕
Hey 👋 there! We love your videos, my husband and I. I wanted to weigh in on the fabric for the Joan elliott - do the blue and white one. The other one is too distracting from the design, and I think it might be too tight for the beads. I’m just finishing up Canadian beauty by her.. and working on beads soon- I wish I’d done it on an evenweave Lugana light blue no mottling.. it’s on linen - Ivory.. it’s ok, but I feel it’s missing that colour. In my opinion, when something is too mottled, I think it takes away from design and I think doing them on 28 count is good and 16 or 14 Aida is good. I’ve been stitching for about 30 years, since I was 17, so I don’t say this lightly. I hope this helps. 😊 I’m sorry to hear about your family. Hugs 🤗 Prayers 🙏🏻 congrats 🎉 on your job!

Both fabrics are lovely. I'm personally more drawn to the cracked ice one but you mentioned that one was 28 count and one was 32 so maybe you need to decide based on the size the finished stitch area will be for framing. ✨✨

Congrats on the new job, it must be the month for career changes, you are the 3rd or 4th person I know who has gotten a new job, and I'm so happy for all of you, I know what it's like to be in a job you don't like, it can make life miserable. I think I'd go with the blue and white, but the multi-colored fabric does look more like the picture, but for some reason I like the idea of the blue and white and I could see the snow as you were describing it. I would choose the more colorful one, just because it looks like the pattern, and I dont usually stitch on anything but neutral but I bought a piece that's mutlicolor and I love it. Havent decises what to put on it ,:) though

I absolutely love Brian blits stitch channel and I'm excited to try his app however I have an android so I haven't had the opportunity to try it. I hope he extends it to android. I am currently doing a heaven and earth design full coverage piece and ever since I discovered how he stitches I have been trying his method of diagonal stitching. WIP parade would be awesome! I like the pink blue and purple for the Joan Elliot. The other fabric is also pretty but I would be concerned some of lighter colors towards the bottom would get lost. Colour and Cotton threads are my favorite hand-dyed threads. Congrats on the job offer!Happy stitching!

For the Princess of the Snow, both fabrics will work beautifully. The icy blue and white is more subdued while the other is definitely the more bold choice, which is a stretch for me because I lack confidence in picking fabrics. I did wonder though if your stitching would be more prominent on the blue and white. Sometimes with more heavily mottled fabric I have a hard time focusing on the design. It’s as if my eyes have no where to land and many of the exquisite details are lost. The blue and white would be my choice. Happy Holidays to you!

For the fabrics…I really like both of them; however, I think the second one (the one with the pinks, etc.) looks more like the fabric in the model. Wishing you a joy-filled holidays!

Yes we can tell it is a sheep, 😅. Your Randle Spangle piece has amazing detail for a mini. Love the fabric you are stitching Sabrina, I use white nymo thread to stitch my beads on as the white takes on the colour of the fabric and neighbouring thread and doesn’t change the colour of the beads. Maybe every week you pull out one of your very old wips and give it some love, then reward yourself at the end of the month with a Mira/Nora new start? I am going to try something similar, my reward is a Mira/Nora/Bella pattern purchase. I look forward to seeing your Joan Elliott start, you have made my get twitchy to start one of mine from stash, either fabric will be stunning.

I did go and download the cross stitch app and imputed all of my projects into it, which is awesome! I’ve been slowly listing my stash as well which has been a savior with my poor memory on what in the world I have stashed away. I keep forgetting that it tracks time and stitches!! I’ll have to remember to do try that feature out during my next stitching session.

For me, I would go with the blue and white for the Princess of the Snows . I find the multiple colors in the background distracting from the main pattern, though the second fabric resembles the cover page most. Good luck going forward on the new job!

Yes, I think the Cracked Ice is the one I’ll go with. I was reminded that the design has beads… which is why I like the 28 count hand dyed fabrics for beaded projects. And I think the design might pop more on a background with fewer colors. Thanks for the advice! ☺️💕
Hey 👋 there! We love your videos, my husband and I. I wanted to weigh in on the fabric for the Joan elliott - do the blue and white one. The other one is too distracting from the design, and I think it might be too tight for the beads. I’m just finishing up Canadian beauty by her.. and working on beads soon- I wish I’d done it on an evenweave Lugana light blue no mottling.. it’s on linen - Ivory.. it’s ok, but I feel it’s missing that colour. In my opinion, when something is too mottled, I think it takes away from design and I think doing them on 28 count is good and 16 or 14 Aida is good. I’ve been stitching for about 30 years, since I was 17, so I don’t say this lightly. I hope this helps. 😊 I’m sorry to hear about your family. Hugs 🤗 Prayers 🙏🏻 congrats 🎉 on your job!

Both fabrics are lovely. I'm personally more drawn to the cracked ice one but you mentioned that one was 28 count and one was 32 so maybe you need to decide based on the size the finished stitch area will be for framing. ✨✨

I think I'd go with the blue and white, but the multi-colored fabric does look more like the picture, but for some reason I like the idea of the blue and white and I could see the snow as you were describing it.

I would choose the more colorful one, just because it looks like the pattern, and I dont usually stitch on anything but neutral but I bought a piece that's mutlicolor and I love it. Havent decises what to put on it ,:) though

I absolutely love Brian blits stitch channel and I'm excited to try his app however I have an android so I haven't had the opportunity to try it. I hope he extends it to android. I am currently doing a heaven and earth design full coverage piece and ever since I discovered how he stitches I have been trying his method of diagonal stitching. And BTW I love your channel too and you are inspiring. Thank you:)
