MSFS 2020 + "Old" CPU: A Tale of Compromises

After many years of running MSFS with the sliders as far right as possible and reasonable, I have decided to make a few compromises to keep the framerates at bay, with consistency in mind. Embark on this journey where I describe all the changes I have made, the reasoning behind it and the outcome.
Microsoft Flight Sim can be enjoyed with an older cpu, as long as you cut a few corners here and there.
