I like how Hickok says at 0:15 "You should know the gun by now." Referring to Chapter 1 Glock 19. Haha this guy is my favorite teacher.
The G19 is great for someone who hasn't shot too much, but the G23 is one of the best all-around pistols on the planet.
hickok45 I agree with you. Even in 2018 when I'm watching this video I carry a 3rd gen Glock 23 and it's my all time favorite Carry gun and I love the .40 s&w
Ah, the sound of a gun going off and the ding of a confirmed hit is music to my ears.
@junior45105 , I think it's a Fobus paddle holster. I'm going to have to start putting this in the description of every video. I forget after awhile and sometimes have a hard time seeing it in the video.
It's very rare to ever have to replace anything. I did break a locking block on a G23, but that was after 10 years of carrying and shooting it.
Well, I have long arms and a weak brain! It takes a long time for the pain sensation to travel up my long arm. Then when it finally gets to my brain, it has another challenge in getting the door open! :-)
hickok bewilders EVERYONE LMAO!! i just cant get enough of this guy...swell dude and what is not to love about him :)
I don't have much use for the ported barrels, but whatever floats your boat. So, other than a brief fling with a compensated 1911 in my old IPSC days, I just don't know much about porting.
Thanks.
mr.Hickok I want to thank all the way from Los Angeles California, and I want to let you know that we are great full for all your videos
A variety of different Galco and Don Hume IWB holsters, as well as the Fobus Paddle holster. Lately, I've gone to the Galco Royal Guard as my favorite 1911 and Glock holster.
Watching your videos made me the Glock man that I am today..
Holy shit, it's been a long time I havn't seen someone have this much fun.
He's going nuts!!!
Early hickok humor; touching a hot barrel with your trigger finger. Oh how far you've come. Life is Good.
I don't think many realize how hard it is to be able to shoot that fast and that accurately at those longer distances and consistently.
I've been a 1911 guy for years and have 2 Nighthawks with another ordered. I've owned a few Glocks and M&P's in 40 and 45, but that was 3+ years ago and only had them < 6 months.
I just bought an M&P9 and Glock 17 Gen 4 four weeks ago. Glock sent me the new "02" guide rod and it runs great with both. 2,500 rounds and it runs perfect.
Thanks for the videos
Yes, I would highly recommend it.
thank you hickok45 in helping me decide on my first handgun (G19). Your videos have been informative and entertaining.
I just bought a Glock 19 after spending days watching your Glock videos. Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I have only fired it once, but I like the way it feels and shoots.
You need to be doing a magazine article on that gun, one like Chuck Taylor does occasionally with the Glock 17 he must have close to a million rounds through by now. Anybody know what the count is on that one? I haven't seen an article or update lately.
haha the classic touching the barrel trick. i love it
Well, opinions might vary on this one, but I'd say about the only difference that matters between the two is the physical size. You get a little more sight radius, which is not needed, in my opinion. I've read articles in gun rags where they tested the difference in velocity between barrel lengths with Glocks. Due to the unique rifling/barrel, the differences are very small and essentially irrelevant.
"that joke backfired" :)
good stuff, love your videos!
Thanks for a great series on a good gun. It is fun to watch you shoot. Though I am a novice shooter I can appreciate the skill it takes to do what you do. Your videos inspired me to purchase a G19. I put 250 rounds through it -- flawlessly. Thanks again.
They seem to work just fine.
The current thinking seems to be that storing ammo in a magazine has no effect; it's the use of the magazine that causes wear. That's what I've been reading anyway.
dont worry about talkin to much hickok we like listening to a man that knows what hes sayin for a change
Oh, and by the way hickok45, these are great little Glock videos you've created. I'm totally jealous of your backyard shooting gallery; It's better than anything my local ranges here in AZ have to offer. Keep up the good work, and safe shooting.
"See if I can hit anything today.."
Right.
You have a safehouse in Pensacola Florida for the zombies, sir.
Hey Hick, because of you im gonna go get a glock 19 already own a s&w sd9ve...love the videos Sir. One Love.
Thanks for posting this great video. I love my Glock 19 and you've motivated me to improve my accuracy!
Can't do that because I detest holsters with releases and such. Nobody has sneaked up on me at my own range yet while I was shooting, but one never knows!
I have pursued hickok for long time.
You are superlative shooter.
your vids are awesome, really enjoy them...most people try all that cocky, macho, badass crap. your the best, cool and genuine.
You have the best firearm videos on CZcams. I believe you are from my home state as well based on the shirts that you wear. Thanks for the informative and entertaining videos!
You don't talk to much love hearing how the gun works. Good vid.
As a retired LEO I still shoot a lot to maintain proficiency. I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoy your videos no matter what gun your using. Keep up the good work.
@supersix45 , I think the IPSC recommends 11 yards back. Cowboy matches put you even closer, but their targets are usually hanging targets. IT makes a difference. I'd be back 10 yards or so and make sure you have good eye protection. You could still get a little something back, but it's rare.
your videos are awesome. you're the man.
Love your videos I just bought my first glock 20 a few weeks back but already want a 19 too!! Your videos have really helped sell me on glocks.
good job on the video it is hard to find a good gun video you keep up the good work
Not bad for an old guy...ya'll play some tunes on that steel ! Have watched you for years...Great channel we all love...Bless you and family...
you sir are the man. i saw your previous glock 19 vid and was awed by your skill. and then to find out you're a titans fan as well. once again you are the man. on a side note i should be getting my od g19 in tomorrow and can't wait to shoot it. good vid and good shooting. thanks.
I've shot reloads through my Glock stock barrels since the mid to late '80s with not problems. Jacketed bullets are jacketed bullets. You probably don't want to shoot non-jacketed bullets through the stock barrels, except under special circumstances.
@hickok45
I have watched most if not all of your vids....All I think is, Damn I could have a blast with you out there!!! Very nice and keep up the good work!
helped me make a knowledgeable purchase for my first C&C piece, keep the videos comin!
@carnut476 , That rarely has to be done.
@rayrosado3rd , I like the Galco Royal Guard, but there are hundreds I've not tried.
Don't have one of those. Thought about getting a .357 Sig barrel for one of my .40's. It's a simple conversion.
I love my 19, it fits my hand like a custom made glove! lol
@jimbo0311 , It's all very expensive, whether it's reloaded or factory. I shoot mostly handload in 9mm.
@AirsoftVeteran96 , Depends on your finances and purpose for the gun. If you can afford another gun, the G19 might be a nice addition. If you want to carry it with your permit, it might be worth trading into a more easily carried gun. Some G17 owners will disagree with that, I'm sure. There are lots of people who pack the G17.
I LOVE your videos
@rickylain , Guess I must consider the distance I'm shooting at safe or I would not be shooting from there.
seen the first G19 video you did, this 2nd one is great. I was undecided between an original G17 or the G19, I think I've made my mind up, G19 it is! Thanks for the videos, great treat!
Thank you for making all these great videos. You have me sold on the Glock19 as my new carry gun. I guess my Beretta 92FS will stay at home in the safe.
your accuracy always amazes me sir, not a lot of people can be as accurate as you with virtually any gun and at long distances! you should apply for the topshot show in history channel, im almost sure you would give those guys a run for their money!
That IS a good method, but all my brass hits the blacktop driveway or gravel. I don't lose much of it unless I'm walking around the farm plinking, which is a good time to pack a revolver so that I don't lose ANY of it.
Im a first time gun owner. Was having trouble deciding what to buy. Then ifound this channel. Now im all about the glockamania

Hi Hickok 45 I so impressed with all the vidoes I like all of them I pleased you once do the one of CZ 75 PO 7 GEN 2. I from South Africa Big Fan of you...
hes like a magician those mags just keep coming
I love your video!
sold me, I just bought a gen 3, G19. Thanks for all the Great Videos.
wow you really shoot well Mr.Hickok, how I wish i can shoot well like you.God bless you Sir.
@chiriquiTV , Doesn't bother me to take my eye off the target; they are not shooting at me, and I'm not training for battle.
@marvintheboon , I don't doubt that a bit, but it might have been more the issue of safety than a Glock issue. Safety really is more a human issue, an attention issue, than it is a mechanical device issue. The Ruger SP101 is a nice gun, though; I rather miss the one I had. Sweet little piece of stainless steel! :-)
How do you shoot so accurately at long range (the gong) with a pistol???
I really appreciate your work. I suspect Glock does, too, as I bought myself a new 19 yesterday. Now to find a good CC holster.
Thank you very much.
I love this video!
@toothman340 , Check out my playlists. I have a few reloading videos.
Hey hickok just picked up a Glock 19c last week. So much fun!
Glocks are as reliable as it gets, and the G19 doesn't dig into your side much, however, the G26 or g27 is better for that.
It might be. That's one that I use sometimes.
That's in my plan. I looked at the G23 video the other day and noticed that for some reason I didn't do any long range shooting. Duh. Don't know why.
6:16 is so funny. He just sticks his finger on the barrel and burns himself. Classic
Lol ordinarily the glock barrels don't heat up like that under 200 rounds. Takes about 300 rounds of 115gr to really heat my barrel up on my 26. He Must've been shooting his really hot 9mm reloads that day and forgot.
@@topherd1011.... Yeah ummm, no.
Everybody's covered it pretty well. Also, Almost everybody who shoots very much shoots reloads. Top shooters shoot almost nothing BUT reloads. Gun makers have to say this to cover themselves.
Hickok for Prez!!!
He has my vote!!!
You are one ferocious slinger of lead, man.
The yellow shows up great on your steel. Thanks for putting in the effort on the paint job and the ammo loading to shoot for little ol' me :)
Another master peace keep em comming........
Back here in 2021. Vintage Hickok45, ..before camera man John
thank you for allowing me to shoot vicariously!
Very good video!!!!
@RickyCapote ,
I don't see that they would offer me anything useful, but quite a few folks seem to like them.
6:16 LOL
Great video
Damn! Nice shooting!
Always enjoy watching these videos. Hope the trigger finger isn't burned too bad.
OUCH!!! Hot Barrel!!!!! Enjoy your videos very much!!!!
damm man i love your style great vids. wasnt sure about glock but u sold me. good shooting
My friend, just got back from the gun shop, and I have in my hot huge hands, a Glock Model 19. Told the wife yesterday that I had decided on the 19. She said, go for it. The 17 is nice, but I'll give that and the 26 some time off, while I get acquainted with my, "New Little Friend." This video is, par excellence, as are all of your presentations. Thanks for being so informative and affable. Gazing at my latest purchase, I can say, "I Had A Pretty Good Day!"
I love how you justify shooting your new barrel! Good shooting and stay safe!
i enjoy your talking, your videos are cool.
very nice, thanks
Impressive shooting on these Glock 19 videos.
Love your channel hickok45. Do you have formal military/LEO training, or self/private instruction taught?
good video. thx.
thanks for the videos! 19 is my favorite glock.
have you ever tried to put a tarp down to catch your brass? thats what i do, it makes it alot easier to pick up the brass, instead of searching in the grass or where ever for them.
cool video!!
Those tree's really filled in man. Great shooting
Awesome shooting :) Damn Accurate shot.
amazing demo of the nociceptive conduction! also an excellent demo of the g19 but that poor trigger finger!
Great job. I too was wondering how you were able to touch the barrel. I was amazed at the glock design then you jumped:) lol. Love the review.
once again, thank you
