This is one of those movies that, even though I have seen it 500 times, every time I watch it's like the first time I've seen it.
Yup 👍 I do the same with the first Predator movie T2 all those classic I can watch for eternity happily ever 🥰🥰

Of course it is why cant it be? People on here talking about they are not sure it's one of the best movies...There are movies less entertaining than this considered Classics why can't this be in that same conversation....

Everyone talks about the dope acting which is evident, but Antoine Fuqua never gets his just due for the directing…he did a tremendous job on this film. Period.
Oh, I think Mr. Fuqua was recognized all right. By the important people--those who've worked with him.
Bro is one of the most sought after directors but you say he didnt get recognition?……. No one can help you bro
The bit where Ethan character has been left by Alonzo in the Mexican house still to this day gets my adrenaline up very scary situation to be in
Veryyyyy
One of the most realistic scenes ever filmed!
@PL Lyons ouch man
Yh I’ve been in a few situations similar but not with a possible fatal ending
No doubt...too real
Denzel invented swag with his role.
Legend has it that King Kong was hurt by Denzel’s words.
“King Kong has nothing on me” such a iconic line
Aiint got shit on me
And it was improvised by Denzel.
Training Day is, and always will be, a creative masterpiece. All the storylines, all the actors, all the locations make it an absolute joy to watch, whether you’ve seen it 5 times or 500 times. You literally can’t get sick of it.
you are absolutely right
Well said.
Denzell is the greatest actor. All his movies are great
I agree he's the GOAT
I 100% agree with the first part.
yes. I think there's no doubt about that-his face is like a sidewalk of the self-you can walk with it but never really be it
he's the best; i think a cut above the rest, he never ceases to amaze and deliver, he's the best actor of all time
The vatos attempted murder scene is still one of the most iconic and scary scenes in Hollywood gangster movie history.
Ethan did a really good job in this movie but Denzel's performance was a tour de force!
Ethan isn’t the best actor but I felt like he held back for the star
ethan actually won an oscar for best support.
...you remember that fool in the wheelchair...who you think put him there....
But the movie had to highlight Denzel. He had to be the monster.
@@Kompakt1973 No he didn't win but he was nominated
Why was this "Behind the scenes" feature so wholesome? They all genuinely admired each other.
first thing they do in most quality movies is match and hire people with compatible chemistries, thats the whole point of auditions
Fun Fact: Most of the ending where Denzel is going off after Jake walks off, entirely improvised.
its not

Denzel is known for his improvisations so I can believe it
The King Kong line definitely was
One of the best movies ever. Denzel certainly deserved the Academy Award, but Ethan Hawke's tremendous performance is often overlooked. A masterclass in powerhouse performances.
Entire cast and crew were spectacular. Scott Glenn, Terry Crews, Snoop, Macy... the whole bloody lot. Exemplary storytelling.
They all did such an amazing job...
Yeah Ethan was the real revelation of this movie, Denzel was expected to perform well, another great actor is Cliff Curtis, that played Smiley, he's not even latino, he's Indian (I guess) but does many different characters in movies. Imo, Dre and Snoop really suck at acting lol, but ofc they were great to see in a gangsta movie.
The writers the real mvp

“To protect the sheep, you have to catch the wolf and It takes a wolf to catch a wolf.”
My fav quote
“You got to have a little dirt on you for anyone to trust you”
This director is incredible
Denzel is the greatest actor of last 40 yrs, and its not even close. F-cking OG legend.
Bullshit, Daniel Day-Lewis is, your opinion is probably based solely on this movie alone. Denzel won the best acting Oscar for this film and rightly so, Day-Lewis has three for films you probably haven't even seen Opinions don't make the greatest actors, nor do awards, it's the roles and characters you choose and how you portray them, it's also down to the director to get the best out of an actor, whether with direction or creative license to express and improvise. Denzel has over 50 films to his name, Day-Lewis has 21.
Denzel is certainly one of the greatest, but he's not in the same league as Day-Lewis
When I saw this movie it has just been released on video. I was at a hotel in Orlando in a school trip, and me and my friends ordered The Ring, from the hotel pay per view. But, it wasn’t working for some reason, so we decided to settle on training day. But we really didn’t know anything about it. We all absolutely loved this movie. We could not stop talking about it. It’s one of my favorites. Definetly glad we saw it, because I saw the ring a few weeks later and it sucked.
@PL Lyons so nothing. I was relating the experience of seeing the movie for the first time.
I feel you.. I remember just like you bro.. I was 17 or 18 and just got off work around 11pm that night fresh out of the shower an took a couple bong hits and sat down and turned on HBO or showtime or one of those premium channels and literally got lucky bc a movie credits was rolling for the film that just got done playing and I hit the info button and read the next movie tile and info and thought ok a Denzel Washington movie can’t go wrong but knew nothing about and man I was happy I watched it bc it was a great movie and one of those moments you turn on the tv and get lucky and watch a movie you know nothing about and seen at least 50 times in the last 2 decades and literally I’m here now bc just got done watching it again lol
@@DrRawBalls_TheDummy best experience i have had wit plenty movies. First time i watched running crazy wit paul walker was a 2a wake up n the middle of the night lets see whats on kinda thing
The most interesting thing about this movie is two things. The first is that we are instantly introduced to the hero and the villain who actually are always around each other majority of the film. The second is that it all takes place in one day. Amazing movie.
@@DonaldDonald-gv7ys Oh, I understand what you mean now. Welp, I sure feel like an idiot, lol. I'm going to delete my old comment now.
No more ink needs to be spilled about how great Denzel is in this movie, he was phenomenal. But the more I watch, the more I see how underrated Ethan Hawke was. He was the perfect understated foil to Denzel's big performance and lets Denzel shine. Scott Glenn was also great in his bit part.
Denzel praised Ethan Hawks during his Academy Award acceptance speech as the perfect supporting actor
Absolutely! I remember pulling for Ethan to win the Oscar. He definitely held his own with “the master” (Denzel)!!
scott glenn=legend, he was good in backdraft and silence of the lambs too, he's played tricky roles with great power of presence
this role and hes role as frank lucas in american gangster is some of denzels best work
Macy Gray had me sold !!!! I've had this movie on DVD and Blu-Ray. i watch it at least 3 or 4 times per year. Every time I see Macy Gray's scene. I'm like damn , she need to do some more acting.
This is definitely my favorite Denzel Washington movie, and believe me that is a bold statement.

Denzel is a genuine dude. Smart as hell. I met him when I was in the military @ Brooke Army Medical Center in 2006 I think. Time escapes me. What I remember is how well he was engaged with the leadership. He talked to patients, staff and donated to the hospital. Great dresser too. He made brown suede/leather (jacket) my favorite article of clothing as he wore something like this that day.
This isn't a movie it's art.
This is one of the best “behind the scenes” features I’ve ever seen. Not only is it, LITERALLY, one of the best films ever made, they took the time to try to inspire, interact, encourage, support and include others out of the love and goodness of their hearts. Imagine all the positive and great they left with the people in this film. We are ALL brothers & sisters, REGARDLESS of our skin color. I really enjoyed this video.
Right
And if you and all that read this carry this mentality in to your own life you will succeed
If dre can with that acting surely we can
💯
I love that they allowed the kids in to observe and look through the cameras to hopefully create another generation of movie makers.
A great actor can make you truly hate/dislike him or love him.. Denzel can do it all! Amazing film and truly brilliant actor 🔥🔥
Similar to Hans Gruber in ‘Die Hard’ would you say?
*Denzel the greatest actor alive*
Training Day is still a classic to this day
denzel is the goat, nobody can touch him
perfect script, perfect cast, perfect score, perfect movie!
Probably why Denzel got the Oscar, he’s in denial that his character is the villain of Training Day
You hit the nail on the head
Omg this is so true
Denzel is the best actor in the business.
What a bold move to go to the "hood" and have the REAL gang members help in making a segment of a memorable movie! "Bones" get down and dirty, we can make it happen!!👍No doubt one of the best movies ever made!
Denzel did this role "DIRTY".😎😎😎
"You shot me in the ass"
a line that is oscar worthy.
The best part about this behind-the-scenes clip was seeing the film crew and actors engaging with the children in the neighborhood and giving them a taste of what it's like to be a part of the film industry. Beautiful! What a life-changing experience for children everywhere!
In an interviews with Rich, Antonie said, that a guy gave up to him in one movie set and said thanks to you others I became an actor.

@@tmclaug90 ya man. Eminem if he wanted to could have been in quite a few movies but he wanted them shot in Detroit and he wanted people from Detroit to get a chance to be in the movie's. Neil Blomkamp(chappie and district 9 creator) Actually wrote a movie with eminem in mind as the lead. Eminem agreed but under those conditions I named above and Neil tried to get it done but it just wasn't possible that way. Lol that ended up being the scifi film starring Matt Damon Elysium. Eminem was also offered the lead role in that boxing movie starring Jake Gilynhall but he turned it down also because he just wants to make music. He didn't want to leave everyone hanging though so he agreed to be a part of the film a bit with the soundtrack. Crazy though that after he won awards for 8 mile he was apparently offered lead roles in tons of films the public doesn't even know about and he could have been a movie star if he wanted. In business also he always trys to help Detroit. He was an early investor apparently in the Detroit based company stock x that blew the f up now.

Im so glad he got The Oscar. He deserved it for Malcolm X and Hurricane but if we won then no way they give to him for this fantastic performance. Oscars are like NBA MVPs they hate for people to get too many and try to give it to people who they think are overdue

Antoine Fuqua created such an amazing atmosphere with this movie. Everything from the script to the lighting, images of the sun going down, deep pulsating drums on the score, just a masterpiece all the way around.
