Hit man Frank Sheeran looks back at the secrets he kept as a loyal member of the Bufalino crime family in this acclaimed film from Martin Scorsese. - Zábava
DeNiro's performance in this movie is so subtly heartbreaking, great movie.
@m Khan Niro has 2 oscars. Its more than enough for him.
He sucks..
@@MediaBuster and you?
@@part4963 His character has no redeeming features at all, it's difficult to watch him.
Except the part where he beats up the shopkeeper
This truly put a smile on my face. I have so much admiration for Scorsese's passion for filmmaking.
Scorsese is synonymous to Cinema for me.
PA$$ION
Hello Sir/Madame. I'm a great fan of filmmaking and I wish to talk about some issues to someone. May you give some time for me please ?

Im just speachless how is possible that this masterpiece didnt got any oscar... from 10 nominations... how was that possible?
Joe Pesci acted the shit out of his role , stunning
@@-LAH i have to agree 200%. I loved brad pitt in once upon a time but like u said forgetable. Parasite deserved everythig but i feel that once again martin was snobed. Like u said at least screenplay, that was the minimum.
When you look at the film's cast and the woke assholes from the Academy, it's no wonder. It's a joke prize these days, anyway.
Hot take
This > the godfather

This is brilliant. This is basically an ultra extended version of the B roll footage that was released about a year ago.
Yeah and now we only need to watch one video.
The saddest part is that we won't see these kinds of films with such personalities anymore...
maybe, or maybe... not
You don't know that. Hell, there might be some classics made further in the future.
It literally got released a year ago Elias
Be thankful we had it in the first place, I say. They can have Boss Baby 2. Once entertainment has finally hit rockbottom, we'll be dead anyway.
Dont worry my guy. I got you 😉 give me like two to five years to gain more experience in life then I gotcha 👌🏾
This Friday is The first anniversary and I'm probably going to watch this masterpiece for the tenth time
you have too much free time

There are very few directors who get a chance to do what they wanna do and Martin Scorsese is the one on top he is the man who inspires many with this soulful filmmaking :)
And Truffaut I think
Quentin Tarantino is on that list.
Christopher Nolan is also on that short list

Very underrated film.
I really think years from now this will be looked at as a Cinematic masterpiece that, sadly, did not get anywhere near the recognition that it deserved.
It plays almost as an extension of Mean Streets, Goodfellas and Casino and really feels like a moving and powerful Grand Finale to all of Scorsese’s Mob epics.
Don’t let it’s slow pace put you off - this is an absolute Masterwork from one of the greatest artists in the history of Cinema.
At least that’s how you’re “supposed” to feel because film buffs are on Scorsese’s nuts. I had to stop halfway, and didn’t care enough to come back the following night. The general vibe I got was, they should have left this one alone, or made it years ago. I may give it another shot.
It is very over rated.
@@dndlnx 🤢🤦 u left it halfway ....

A true genre-ender. Like Unforgiven did for Westerns
How Pacino didnt win an oscar for this is beyond me
He should have won
The Oscars got woke bro, wouldn't fit their agenda
Or Pesci losing to Brad Pitt?? Come on!!!
hello sir / miss. I am a very big fan of cinema and I would like to discuss with a lover of cinema like me in order to discuss the subject. have I come to the right place?
He shouldn't have. He was just playing himself once again, looked and sounded nothing like the real Hoffa.
Never will there be a better cast + director on a movie again.
Never
Except The Godfather.
There are a lot of great movies outside the American film industry ya know
@@jermyhopkisn9654 i'm openminded but i doubt that they reached the levels of these guys.
@@callahan1492 Martin Scorsese would probably tell you most of the greatest films have been made in Europe.
Seeing Al Pacino under Martin Scorsese's direction gave me goosebumps. Just imagine the films they could have made together in the 70s-90s they seem like they would be the perfect pair along with De Niro.
I think what I admire about Scorsese is after all these years he seems like he's still a kid in a candy store. Yes there's a process, a schedule, a business, etc., etc, but he's stayed an artist. A true filmmaker.
I love the fact that he doesnt do “ Hollywood “ movies.
The fact that Deniro was not nominated for this is just ridiculous. I think it is one of his best performances.
Al Pacino younger characterization was great! His eyes still young and powerful!
He still got it!!!!
Pacino never lost that youthful energy
If people knew how good this movie is, they could reopen it at the theatres and it would be box office gold.
My heart just quenched when De Niro told pesci "Come on let's do it...what if we cannot do anything again" I hate my favs getting old
Shame thing is we'll never see this kind of movie again!!!😭😭😭
HANDS DOWN THE BEST FILM THAT NETFLIX HAS.
I read where one of the top executives at Netflix flat out admitted, "We didn't care about the cost. We didn't care about the return. We didn't care about box office or awards. We wanted to make our own, original masterpiece of cinema. That was ours. And help Scorsese make this movie and have it come from him. We did that."
For now
Just got the Criterion DVD of "The Irishman" today and I can sit here and enjoy it like I did a year ago when this first streamed on Netflix. There will never be as great a film as this with a great cast all helmed by the great Martin Scorsese.
DVD.... Peasant.
Is the film split over both discs on the DVD or is it all on the first disc?
@@ComeOnIsSuchAJoy The film itself is on the first disc. The second disc has all special features.
@@edkeaton1961 Cool. Thanks. I don't have to buy the Blu-ray then. Often times longer films get split up on DVD.
@@ComeOnIsSuchAJoy Well, that's not the case here.
I am in the middle of my third viewing of The Irishman, always something new. A classic. A movie you can watch again and again and still be entertained. Thank you Marty, Al, Bob, Joe, et al.
Just hearing Scorsese talk for a minute about phones and sky color you get more of a film school education than about anything else out there. The guy is a brilliant craftsman of the trade. A true DaVinci of film.
Look at the man's face behind Al and Martin in that first scene where Martin is explaining the script to Al. The only thing that I can guess he is thinking is: "Damn, this is a genius at work." Excellent film.
I’m staring filmmaking with a mirrorless camera. This man deserves every award for just existing. Really inspiring man.
For the OG fans. He inspired me even when he was in Shark Tale 😂

Let's work together
Filmmaking at its finest, we'll never see anything quite like it at this caliber ever again. Thank you, Martin Scorsese, for delivering quality films after quality films; and to everyone involved in making The Irishman, you all deserve a heartfelt appreciation.

It's really interesting how this Legendary movie came to life. They did a Good Job to make this movie, I Love it.
This is fantastic, Scorsese is so passionated when he talks about filmmaking, he is able to make masterpieces such as this when he's got all the creative control, a truly inspiration for the filmmakers to come
From the maker of Michael Jackson’s Bad music video... imagine that being the promotional line introducing this film
Marty is a genius filmmaker, working with 4 of the most genius actors of all time (Deniro, Pacino, Pesci, Keitel)
The way Scorsese gestures his hands like he’s conducting an orchestra. Truly a man who is connected with his projects. Beautiful.
pacino performance in the film was insane ❤🙏🏼
Really gets into the nuts and bolts of the magic of movie making. Just remember this collection of singular talents going down the road and smile because we were privileged to enjoy this.
7:46 - Scorsese Talking about Niro and their friendship. What a great couple.
13:44 “The good news about today’s data on everybody is that they have data on everybody!” Gotta love Pacino, such a character
Love him too!!!!
First 20 seconds, punctuations are so important.
martin knew they are getting old and this is what the movie is all about.. he knew they had to make it now and it had to be them, for the entire movie.. it also came in a perfect timing, if it was 10 years ago it wouldn`t be as good.. this will go down as a legendry film and it`s honestly a gem in this era
Im stunned at how they were able to take three Italian guys and make them look and sound like they're really Irish. Amazing.
Once in a lifetime movie, i wish that de niro, pesci and pacino work again .
The Irishman is a sort of homage towards those movies from the 70 & 80's years Scorsese made especially, with Robert De Niro. Furthermore, seeing De Niro, Pacino and Joe Pesci together on a set is a big surprise I never imagined in a Scorsese's movie. Moreover, Scorsese was able to demonstrate that he is a classic director, and that's why his movies never gets old. So thank you Marty for coming back with this movie.
20:22.
He just loves what he does.
This makes me so happy, down to my soul I smile when I see these legends smile and laugh when they interact
As an audience you couldn't ask for more legends creating masterpiece
Has Marty ever done an extended cut of any of his movies? Because as long as the movie is, I’d watch more of these legendary actors...
He never does alternate versions or shows deleted scenes. It’s like showing people the pieces of a sculpture that wasn’t used. That’s how he sees it
I watched or read an interview where he explains ge doesn't believe on "director's cuts" as to him once a movie finishes post production and is released to theaters, that's the movie that it will always be. He also mentioned something about it being kind of petty for a director to ask for a director's cut DVD/Blue Ray when they didn't care enough to ask that from the start.
And frankly, I think Scorsese is one of the few directors who always makes the movie his own, not caring about numbers and big box offices, just an artistic vision true to himself.
I just love Stephen Graham, he's such a cool actor.
I do too. What's interesting in this case is that he actually looks more like Hoffa and Pacino does.

I watched this for the first time today, I know I'm late lol. Everyone was great, Al was my favorite!!!! I forgot that it was him
Pacino saying "thanks for helping me; I was stuck on this for over two months". Marty solved it in seconds. Marty is that good...
This movie is once you see it the 2nd time, I’m one of those fans that has see it 10 times now,I love the scenes between all of them when it was one on one,it wasn’t recognized for the tremendous dialogues and acting between great actors
One of the best Behind the Scenes Docs I have ever watched :) So many legends, so much to learn!
Pesci was brilliant as Buffalino... as wonderful, warm and ruthless as Nicholas Colastanto ("Coach" from Cheers) as Tommy Como in Raging Bull. Both played against type.. and the character was 100% believable.
what a group of legendary director and legendary actors.
10:05 - DeNiro is talking about working together with Pacino and Pesci.
what a classic movie this was i am glad they did it
one of the best movies i ever seen! Very intersting and excisted movie
Fantastic.I enjoyed every bit of this video and it made me want to go watch this masterpiece for the third time! There is a grounded reality about it and a deep understanding of criminal life in this film that most movies never focus on and it places The Irishman among the best movies ever made.
I’ve watched this movie about 15 times tbh. I get something new from it every time.
The funniest part of this video is when Marty doesn't mention that Bob and him did "New York, New York" together but Irwin Winkler does! XD Amazing musical movie!
i love how aware they are of how male centric the film is and how many women are involved in the production at a high level
The cinematography is brilliant and gives the movie a certain perfect feel that I hadn't realized until I saw this
Marty this film is a diamond in the rough.*****,🥇
The first time I saw this I watched it with a friend at 2 in the morning, I was half watching and was put off with how old the “young versions” of the characters were, then I watched it again alone, and I’ve probably watched it 15 times, 😂 it’s one of my favorite movies, after every time I watch it I can’t believe it’s 3 and 1/2 hours long, it goes by so fast, it’s a beautifully directed and acted film with a lot of heart and tragedy.
Thanks for this amazing half an hour! That was amazing!
"It's what it is." thrilling line
Marty Bob Joe Al in pic is must watch.
Martin Scorsese, I love you.
This movie is an absolute gem - it is both artful storytelling, and a beautiful film to watch and absorb. So much is done with a look in the eyes, and a nod between characters - none of this spoon fed swill that has emerged in popular movies these days.
What’s partnership between Deniro and Scorsese, to know and trust someone else creatively, that deeply abd naturally. What a gift they each gave each other. I’ve had such comparatively shallow versions of this in my life, and they’ve been, still, incredibly fulfilling. I can’t imagine having their level of creative relationship, how wonderful that must be.
I absolutely adored the final moments of this film. All of the swagger of romanticised gangster glamour slowly fizzles out and becomes a contemplation of regret from a lonely, feeble old man. It's so sad and it hits so hard. It's like a mic drop on the entire genre.
This film is there lives as actors. Amazing
How are you ever going to replace actors like Pacino de Niro and pesci they are definitely the three kings of la Costa nostra movies
10 years from now this will be a classic. Parasite will be forgotten
ofcourse. Who gives a shit about Parasite except Oscars
What a awesome movie! Three of my acting heroes in this movie and the icing on the cake is having the best director of cinema ever and it produced one of my all time favorite movies! This was up there with Goodfellas and Casino! I can't wait to see Killer of the Flower Moon.
Been waiting for this video
15:36 i cried i love them
Omg just seeing Robert all grown up and old 🤧🥺
I loved this movie it was excellent! I don’t know why people are so hard on it..it was another brilliant motion picture..⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You are right.

Masterpiece. Thank you gentlemen
Man, I get goosebumps whenever that frank kills hofa scene comes up! Just think that you're in frank's position and you will feel the guilt and pain forever
In my top ten favorite films. I adore it and the performances, especially De Niro (one of his best)
Would love for Netflix to do more of these types of docs
I saw it. What a wonderful movie, a chef d'oeuvre, a masterpiece, bravo to all of them.
More Irishman content lets gooo !!!
It's a great movie, thier performances are captivating and you buy into the relationships (didnt feel as long as it was). That said, I think it's a film you can only really watch the once and really enjoy at the same level, where Goodfella's and Casino just keep on giving.
Everything about this was incredible. The movie was spectacular!
Absolutely everyone was superb in this film.
Masterpiece , film should have won an Oscar
God this movie's beautiful
WOW never bin done in the pased and il bet it will never happen again as on Joe P. AL P. Robert D. Three super A personalitys all supporting each other all three deserve best leading man and best supporting man working so closely brought together by Marty S. We are so lucky to witness this great event.
It is a great film, I always enjoy movies with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in it, you know when Martin Scorsese directs a film it must be great. What I don't understand is why Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino don't yet have Hollywood Stars on the Walk of Fame, they should have had them decades ago after acting in so many great films.
THE IRISHMAN, great MASTERPIECE!
What a movie .
Man this is so beautiful
MY FAVORITE FILM!
This is such a masterpiece, i keep it in constant loop sometimes.
One of my favourite
Enorme película. Enorme!!!

In case you were wondering i have now rewatched it and i loved it even more.
The craziest thing about this movie for me was that Action Bronson is the mortician
That’s heaven 😭
Imagine being a casting director for Scorsese. “Ok so I choose DeNiro, Pesci ohh… and Pacino”.
Marty & the Netflix release makes way more sense as time goes by.
The right platform to have the b-rolls etc.
What do you mean by the b rolls?
