Denzel Washington is my all time favourite. I've watched Equalizer 1and 2 a dozen times and I'm still watching.... Denzel is an American icon.

Denzel Washington is one of the most intelligent people we have ever had the benefit of hearing speak. The wisdom the man possesses always seems to have no end. He's obviously benefitted from his having the ability to realize learning is a journey not a destination.

OMG, I found tears coming down my face when Denzel was getting whipped - Him and Viola Davis can sure make you feel exactly what they are portraying. I love them both :)

And that was just a tiny portion of that scene. That whipping felt like an eternity, and the subtle progression of his expressions perfectly conveyed his agony. I felt each and every lash with him. I’ll never watch it again.
@@normiejeanj yes that was a horrible scene it made you almost feel it... But even that is not a glimpse of the horrible things they went through back then.. too horrible for our minds to imagine.

Between Denzel and Samuel Jackson, I don't know who I love the more and the strange thing is that it's for totally different reasons but I love them both so much nonetheless. Brian Cranston's story is a cautionary tale to keep playing till the last whistle. Great episode overall, such rich life histories, I so thoroughly enjoyed it.
I think that's one of the signs of a true master- when you set them alongside a peer and they each measure up for different reasons, then they both stand their ground as masters.
Denzel is definitely in my top 5 actors. Not only his acting, but who he is as a genuine human being. He is so real and authentic. So unapologetic yet respectful of every person he talks to. This man is a role model for young men of any race.

IMO, Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks are the greatest actors of their generation. It almost seems as if they'll get an Oscar for every role they play and for everyone else it's "Thanks for coming."
Hanks said he wouldn't star in Philadelphia today. We'll never get that level of film again from anyone with today's new standards.

Philadelphia breaks me down every time I watch it. Having had several friends come out as gay, and the hysteria over AIDS , heightens my profound sadness for Andy(TH) and the growing awareness by Denzel (Andy’s lawyer)that AIDS wasn’t a plague and he gets over his homophobia to admire Andy and fight for his rights. It’s absolutely a brilliant movie.☮️❤️🏳️🌈🌟🌟

Malcolm in the middle still makes me laugh so hard, brilliant comedy show.
That felt like the last real working class family show. Showed us as we are. Loud, funny, crazy and silly loving.

The scene in fences where Denzel says “it’s not easy to admit I’ve been standing in the same place for 18 years and Viola say “well I’ve been standing right here with you “is one of the most powerful scenes I’ve seen, and at 62 and a avid tv and movie watcher I’ve seen many.
That's the scene I have a hard time watching because as the director for some reason he didn't want her to wipe her nose.
Many talented man's man. Denzel. Know him by his voice, by his integrity, and by his life.
Love Denzel! He is so humble and seem to like to see things outside of the box. Very smart man. Has my upmost respect. :)
I first fell in love with Bryan's acting abilities on malcolm in the middle. He killed it! My favorite part was his little girl screams.
I remember him from the soap opera 'Ryan's Hope', and I enjoy his acting, but I can't support him because of his connection to Scientology.

I got to comment. As I grew up I always watched Sidney Poitier, loved his movies. Than for me their was a gap, at least for me as far as acting in movies. Than came Denzel, and film after film after film he has left movies so compelling. He is one of those actors that I just wait eagerly to watch his next one. An absolute class act. And I respect that he hasn't let his stardom go to his head like so many others who get fame. So otherwise if he reads this I just want to thank you Mr. Washington for all you have done. You have made a difference in movies, acting and for being a man that all can look up to. Thanks.
I am a huge fan and admirer of Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. They are actors actors and just amazing. They are not all about the celebrity, the glitz, the showboating -- all of that nonsense that means absolutely nothing --- you know what I am talking about! They are low-key - with first and only marriages -- and no looney-tunes headlines and smacking people around...that kinda .... televised hood nonsense.

His performance in glory the best some say are in top 3 I personally think that was the best acting performance I have ever witnessed I watch that movie every time I can I know he is the best actor by generation by far and that's a great movie I'm a history buff acting connoisseur I remember watching that in theaters and being awestruck and I still am every time I see it

Denzel made one of his biggest imprints in Glory. Amazing. He was also amazing in a film with George Segal that gets slammed a lot, but it was a genius film about racism.
