The second product was absolutely crazy and I have no idea how it got two offers, it's like the extremes of surreal high fashion meets the extremes of scheming tech startups.

That nosy thing should be like a Mortal Combat Sub-Zero/Scorpion style mask that covers the mouth and nose, and looks really cool. At the moment the thing looks like awkward nasal origami.
Covering more of the face just makes it more awkward, it would cover the mouth and disguise facial expression. The smaller it is the better.
@abbyanderson2463 yeah, but if you yawn, you completely nullify the device. If you jog and try to catch your breath, you nullify the device. If you have a blocked nose, you have to breathe through your mouth, thus nullifying the device. For sinus issues like hayfever, yeah, the nose covering is all you need. But to elimate the chance of breathing in toxins, you need to cover your mouth too.

Extend robotics in care homes would actually be so good. Leave more work for robots for basic things like food would leave carers less stretched and not working round the clock. That would actually allow them to be able to give quality care to the elderly there. I understand the dragons concern but carehomes are pretty bad right now, and there needs to be change to make it better. Don't completely replace things, use it smartly so it doesn't become some cold clinical robot house, and it would help so much.
Yes I was baffled by how that side wasn’t mentioned in the pitch. Instead he made it sound more complicated like a robot arm stuffing tubes down someone’s throat

I agree.. I think Tuker was right about going after the baby market, then adults would pick it up from there. Also when Sara said everything is about insta with him and he replied 'it's the world we live in' I think that says it all - its the world he lives in and he can't see there's a world outside of that

That robotic arm is years behind its competitors. It's like a university project. No idea how he got an investment.
There are actually restaurant's out there now that are run by robots controlled by disabled and people bed bound allowing them to make money and essentially work from their beds - So I think this technology does have a space in the world. I think your right that it is behind some competitors however no doubt it will be designed to cater to the job otherwise the whole thing is just an idea

Honestly, the majority of the Dragon's are quite poorly educated in regards to technology, but almost all of them desperately want to be included in the cool factor and high profits that successful tech brings. This conflict leads to a lot of mistaken tech investments on their part.

Touker was the one who was completely out of order in that exchange. Steven was respectfully disagreeing with Touker's judgement on a specific product and he couldn't handle that so insulted Steven's entire business acumen. Extremely disrespectful but Steven didn't rise to it.

Extend Robotics, good idea, but when you have the likes of Microsoft, Google and Elon Musk already in that space and way ahead, its not a business opportunity, but wish him well! Hopefully I am wrong and Peter and Chang can make a go of it!

Steven is wrong about Extend Robotics. It's not about 'trusting' robots to do the job. What the entrepreneur was showing is a system that WE use REMOTELY, so essentially we are not there but are still working or using Medicare from afar. In other words, robots will not replace doctors. WE will still be using Chang's machines.

During the presentation there was a guy using it too, it still dropped the dog. So you have to be able to TRUST the robot to do exactly what it was ordered to do. Therefore he was correct that THIS robot has a long way to go till it can be used for taking care of patients.

Serious question, why didn't that girl on the first pitch conduct a demonstration using the actual product? They were not prepared. Also having the dragons come up one by one and pinch a loaf out into a bowl and try it. Because the entire conversation was theoretical and not reality.

Tbf I don’t think it was the arm but the software to control the arm with a meta quest that was the product, if this is correct then they could use any arm but chose a cheap one for financial reasons. If the software is integrally linked to that arm and can’t possibly work on any other machine then he’s screwed.
