Soraya is a credit to herself and her business..... If I lived local this is the place I would go and will definitely call in next time the family visit Barry 👍
That’s so kind thank you so much. I’m still learning daily about cocktails, alcohol and everything not n the related 🙈 hope to see you one day here 🍻
Well done to you both another cracking video. Good to see you both learning from each other.
Paulaner is my favourite of the main Weissbiers
Great review. Well done guys.
What a lovely video. Soraya seems very open minded when it comes to beer. People in the local area, get to her bar and support her 👍
Thanks I was soooo nervous in case I hated it and gained a lot of CZcams haters haha. But it was surprisingly nice 👌🏽
Ideally you shouldn’t freeze a beer glass or chill a wheatbeer wheatbeer is an ale and should be served cool.
@@oscarosullivan4513 People can do whatever they like.
@@oscarosullivan4513 thank you for the information
@@Ayverz Your welcome
So glad you liked it Soraya! Cheers Simon, she has the best teacher in beer with you guiding her. 👏
I was genuinely shocked. Maybe I should tag along and try a load of beers and be honest haha joke!! You’d all hate me because I only really sweet things x
@@Ayverz You‘re too sweet to like bitter things. 😂 ✌️🇦🇺
I am here because I bought my first Paulaner Weissbier today . I have drunk many beers in my time but I was honestly shocked at how good this beer is ! I loved it when Soraya said exactly this !
Great review, lovely lady.
Is anyone else's mouth salivating just from watching this? Serving is the correct glass and pouring correctly makes such as difference.
Love your content pal, I reckon investing in a tiny mic would really help on location.
I must've drunk Oceans of Weissbier & Hefe Weizen over the years, both here and in Germany and I have never had one in a frozen glass! This will change imminently!!!
Plus, what a lovely Lady, Soraya is! I am in North Somerset - Literally opposite Barry next week, I'll stand on the beach and wave :)
Dont change, nobody uses frozen glases. I dont know how they had the idea. Believe me, I am a experianced weißbier drinker. It will ruin the taste of the beer.
Also wheatbeer is an ale and should be served cool
Thank you so much. I watched a video about another bar using frozen glasses so thought I’d try it. Seems to be a bad idea
@@Ayverz Your welcome
I love Franziscaner, Hacker Pschor, Paulaner the wiess beers. They are a real treat.
It's honestly a really good beer for someone who hasn't tried any beer before imo. There's real quality in it but the it's not exceedingly complex in the dynamics as some of the high end stuff can often be. Paulaner was the first wheat beer I tried and I've been hooked on that style ever since.
Soraya is great
That’s so kind. I wouldn’t go that far but Thank you!
What a lovely little video
Nice video, Paulaner ROCKS!!!! Think Smoke Detector needs a new Battery.. Cheers!!! 🍻
Excellent, Weiss Bier! :D
Would love to drink there. That said, you don't really want Weissbier like that to be ice cold, you want it cool. When it's super cold many of the banana and clove flavours won't show properly, so if it's super cold in your fridge you might want to leave it out for 20 minutes or so, or just don't get it so cold in the first place. Same goes for the glass, just rinse it with cool water, no need for freezing cold. I grew up in Germany, and in general their beers are not poured as cold as in other countries, especially not wheat beers. Personally I prefer Erdinger, but it's up to your own taste I guess.
Slide into Belgians next I reckon follow taste pattern for soraya then pilsner
I love sweet things 🙈
Soraya you should try an Irish red ale as they are a sweeter ale they have a carmel taste and other tastes which varies from brewery to brewery they Sullivan’s version tastes of Carmel, Creamier biscuits particularly Custard cremes, dark berries, slight nuttiness with a medium crisp, body that has a slight toffee sticky after taste.
Never had a Paulaner, I'd like to try one. I do like an Erdinger though, are they similar at all?
Paulaner much better
@@stewartclarke2474 👍🏻
In Bayern trinkt kaum jemand Erdinger, nur deutsche und ausländer trinken das gesöff.
Erdinger is garbage, really. It tatses bad and is nothing like a weissbier, it's lacking the characteristics. Paulaner is one of the best weizens. Nothing similar between them. Whatever german weisbier you get, it's always good, except for Erdinger.
Many people have been led wrong when it comes to beer and tend not to take it seriously at all. It's great to wake people up to just how amazing beer can really be. Unfortunately mass produced beer has destroyed the true nature of quality beer.
Soraya seems really cool. At this rate I’ll be changing my name to SorayaForPrimeMinister!!!
Haha I’m nowhere near as great as Simon but thank you 😊
@@Ayverz Both cool! I’ll be heading down to Cardiff next year I hope to pop in for a cocktail and hopefully get a beer with Si you never know!
Is she can afford to sell it for £3 so can other places 🤔
Totally! Some people are greedy.
What is the name of this bar?
Soraya’s
DON'T USE FROZEN GLASSES!!
Why?
@@realaleguide Usually frozen filth from the freezer gets stuck to the inside, it also promotes carbonation and reduces aroma
@@ofir_likes_beer thank you for the advice. Watched another video and the reviews were so good thought I’d try. Maybe not 🙈
For the love of good buy a Bluetooth Mic !!
Welcome to the wide, wonderful world of beer Soraya! Next you'll be downing Oak Aged Russian Imperial Stout! Anyone local should stop in and pick up a cold Paulaner.
Thank you ☺️
Three quid for a Pauliner weisbier......it's almost worth a taxi back to Blackburn.
sorrrrrrrraya
A bar owner that has never tried a beer before??? WTF?
It wasn’t a requirement that I had to try something I’ve never fancied to open a business? I’ve not tried every alcohol either. Sorry but I guess I have now? 🤷🏽♀️
@@Ayverz it just blows my mind why you would have any interest in starting a business if you never even tried its main product. That's like opening up a McDonald's and never trying a burger before.
@@XXX.0X I’d 100% open a McDonald’s and be ok without eating burgers (trying to lose weight) but honestly it’s genuinely for business purposes only. I’m actually a nurse so this is just an adventure for me to learn and expand. I enjoy cocktails and never been one to want to try a beer until Simon told me there’s some sweet ones out there. Also haven’t tried a champagne or wine either. Don’t fancy it sorry 😞
@@Ayverz I mean obviously, there's no requirement for it but i think you'd have a pretty difficult time finding another bar owner anywhere in the World who has never had a beer or wine before. It's very hard to find any adult in general who has never had that (unless it's against their religion or something) but a bar owner? Most people have passion for a business they start but at the very bare minimum, they have at least tried the product they're selling. At the very least it would give some sort of credibility so your customers would believe in your products if you do. I'm sure I'm not the only person who is surprised by this. But good luck to you.
@@XXX.0X yeah I mean, how do you deal with recommendations if you've never tried your own product?
£3? bargain. cost 5-6 quid for that round by me!
I'd pay 70 cent (60p) for a half litre bottle of Paulaner here in Germany and get 8 cent back on the returnable bottle....
