I received these monitors in my studio after trying out the ATC 25a Mark II's. The ATCs are the best monitors for diving deep into the mix and adjusting things by 1db for that perfect mix. What made me return them was the lack of a cohesive sound which every headphone, in ear, and speakers provide. You would need a 2nd pair of monitors to receive that information. I found the Focal Trios provided separation while at the same time provide some cohesive sound so the mixes still sound natural and not so separated. There is a little grit to the mids on the Focal vs a super clean open ATC sound. The Focal's did not bother my tinnitus at the same volume of the ATC's for this reason. Its hard to explain but the dynamics jump out of the speakers more on the ATC's which bothered my ears at 85 db and not the Focals. The 2 way and 1 way mode are fun to try but I much prefer my Yamaha HS 5's as the mids are not pushed out like the Focals in the 2 way mode. I started on the Focal Twins, and if you find the Trio 6's out of your price range, I would suggest the updated Twins which has some of the same technology and improvement of the Trio's in a lower cost yet excellent monitor.

Only 100 watts on the low end? Seems low for having very clear bass.
It's a class G amp so it's very efficient. It can get louder with less watts. Also more watts does not always = more loud
Wattage doesn't take into account the efficiency of the driver.
