- PICTURESQUE & BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN ENGLAND: Malton & Thornton-le-Dale in North Yorkshire// Happy Friday, Today we share a beautiful day in North Yorkshire. First we visited Malton which is also called Yorkshire's Food Capital and it's really true. Although it's not the biggest town you find an abundance of incredible cafés, restaurants and lovely shops. It's a very lively and picturesque town that you should put on your list. We then drove to Thornton-le-Dale, a beautiful and incredibly picturesque village with lovely houses and independent shops. I am British/Irish and I live in Ireland which is beautiful but watching you visit such beautiful places in Britain really makes me homesick and miss The Uk, you just can’t beat it, such a wonderful video. As soon as I saw you were in Malton, all I could think of was delicious savoury meat pies 🥧 I was also thinking how close to Thirsk you are (James Herriot Country). Such pretty quaint little villages with such lovely shops to visit. I love the Yorkshire Pudding Recipe on the side of the building. How cute “A Chat” bench! It's such a great place, Malton is quite special. Yes, would love to check out Thirsk and the Herriot museum, sadly we ran out of time but we always have a reason to go back. I know, the Yorkshire Pudding Recipe was the first thing we noticed and found it so great. Thank you so so much Carole and wishing you a nice weekend.

My husband Bill and I just watched your fun and fascinating video and wanted to be in Malton too!! Love the charming shops.. their names and delicious looking treats to enjoy! Those lattes and veggie pastries looked so good.. and those macarons !!! 😋 The village tour was lovely as well! When you were back at your guest house, we decided to make the sausage meatballs and Béchamel with capers here soon.. the brown rice pasta looks good too.. will look for some here. I just love the closeness everything is across the water. CANADA has some beautiful spots but I really love the quintessence and the unique shops. Businesses that take pride of their shops and love to see the customers. The big box stores have eaten up many great small businesses. Always support your local stores its so important. Why is it I never feel like I'm a bother when I tag along with the both of you lol ...much love ❤

i think you would both enjoy a visit to the small town of Lacock, East of Bristol North of bath. The Lacock Abbey was used to film some of the Harry potter scenes and i believe some parts of Downton abbey, it is such a classic old style village with a strong Tudor style of architecture.
Absolutely, we do love Lacock and have been a couple of times already. We visited before we filmed for CZcams but have a German video on our German channel.

I love Yorkshire too, we visited the Dales in October and didn't want to come home. We've been to Yorkshire so many times and wish we lived there but unfortunately it's not possible.
