This is interesting and very true. I am originally from the Netherlands, but I've lived in the U.S. for 38 years. I know about the reverse culture shock you're talking about. On the other hand, I do still miss certain things, like Dutch licorice.

Beautiful hotels I assumed you would be staying with family when you visit but I never did myself but lovely rooms and kind of your sister to share her room decor. Such a beautiful place! I loved the village, those gorgeous rhododendrons and the lake. All the food looked great, except I must admit I was a little wary of what looked like ? eel/snake some of the plates. I would have had to go with the fish and chips that night, LOL! Thank you for taking us to such wonderful places. 😊

Out of all the places you've visited and filmed, this castle is my favorite. If I were to travel anywhere, Scotland is now on my bucket list. That room with the magnificent decor using weapons was amazing.
