*MOVIE FACT*
Kien Shih, who played the main villain Han, in real life was a close friend of Bruce Lee's father since they both worked in Cantonese Opera business. Kien worked as a makeup artist and Bruce's father as an actor. Their relationship was so close that Bruce addressed Kien as "uncle" and Kien called Bruce "nephew". During a break when filming Enter the Dragon, Bruce got a premonition and said to Kien, "Uncle, I feel that you will live longer than me." Surprised to hear that, Kien then replied, "Nephew, don't force yourself too hard. You are overworking yourself." Bruce died one week before Enter the Dragon was released in Hong Kong.

Bruce Lee wasn't just a good fighter, he was also a good actor--something most people overlook.

We also forget that he choreographed all the fight scenes for "Enter The Dragon".
He had that classic, leading man charm and it's on full display here.
We don't know if he was a good fighter. He was a good martial artist and actor for sure
@@santos8468, you're absolutely right about that. There's only one movie star I wanted to look like, and that's Bruce Lee. Not Brad Pitt, Robert Redford, Errol Flynn or Cary Grant.

This is an amazing scene of the entire movie. Bruce here shows that though in the beginning of the fight he goes for hard hits, ultimately as a master he transcends his consciousness and lets his reflexes take over, then suddenly "it hits by itself".
Water can flow or water can crash...
This was the very scene where Bruce Lee went from being merely legendary to beyond legendary, even mythological. He was beyond transcendent, as he was on the level above the next level, way ahead of his time & a man of great understanding, wisdom & versatility, yet one also possessed of a noble heart (very humble & humane, a fighter for justice, acceptance & equality). Bruce Lee radically revolutionized the whole culture of martial arts (""Be like water.""). Brought it into the Western mainstream & imagination (he was also technically American, an American as much as he was a Chinese icon!). Made people believe that they could achieve. Bruce Lee basically elevated martial arts along with peoples' understanding, appreciation & love for it to unprecedented & newfound heights, while simultaneously making that field seem more accessible to millions. This scene definitively certified his legendary status so amazingly, in such an exciting fashion, that his celestial immortality became further cemented, made even more immortalized. He is forever. Eternally inspirational. The Greatest, & one of a kind. RIP!
Bruce Lee is what it was and is now days he'd look at ya like you don't want none of this boy but his teachings are great to live off of today like being like water God for real and self control diseplent yeah that
Intrest of the story on Bruce is so highly valued that the art of war was originally supposed to bring conversations of opinion vs adding another book we don't need to read. I believe folks really think that brainwashing people and trying to tell people how to think walk talk act etc. Will be the most tragic mistakes society will suffer from. IF some is condemned for their mouth and there is whatever. I do enjoy silence, hence it can be golden when you shut out things around about way. . .
Well stated my friend. Saw this movie the Sunday before I started college in 73. On the way home , my boys wanted to know why I was so quiet , did nt even notice the cute girl looking at me. All I could was stare and wonder , and at 66 I still am. Bruce...

What bruce lee proved here was that he didn't have to use a weapon, because he was a weapon.
Truth
Actually Bruce Lee briefly had weapons, staff, pole, nunchuks but you don't see this in the end
I like the staff scene
Bruce knew he didn't need a weapon to beat him here. Han had a very hard time (not surprisingly) dodging and ducking Bruce's attacks. That's saying a lot because Han was quick enough in his own right when he fought Williams earlier in the film. He was able to evade William's attacks but Bruce was so damn fast, it was almost impossible to block or evade him.
@@danielpartida8224 Even though I liked Enter the Dragon, I just could not get into Han. I just saw him constantly using weapons and running away, like a coward. Return of the Dragon with Chuck Norris, that was a showdown of all showdowns.
Anyone find it poetic that Bruce used Han's own weapon to kill him?
I do.
Happy 83rd Birthday to Bruce Lee! 🎉 Thank you for your art, and philosophy, and cinematic poetry!

Technically, it only took Bruce one film, ONE, to become an iconic movie hero. His earlier films only gained world recognition after people became fans of Bruce/Enter The Dragon. He wanted to go on, at least until 1980 and become a multi-million dollar superstar, and there's no doubt he would've lived up too that. Can you imagine what more he could've brought to the big screen after seeing this movie?? My god....
What could have been… And I know it’s often said, but I do think The Game of Death, (had he completed it, of course we know what happened instead) could have been the greatest Martial Arts film ever, the ideas and techniques on display in the footage available are amazing even now!
However, Enter the Dragon still stands tall as Bruce’s glorious triumph of cinema 50 years later!
The house of mirrors was a brilliant effect for the ending!
@Das Christkind Sure, I agree but it was more dramatic and cinematic to kick him onto that spear on the wall and have him hanging there like dead trophy.
Then Bruce Lee walks by him and doesn’t even look at him. Like he was saying I’m done and you’re not worth my time anymore.
Cool ending!
@Das Christkind I’m glad you agree. Bruce Lee was a Badass!
He was too damn fast and too damn strong! He used to train every day!
I would not try to fight him. I’d run 🏃♂️ instead!
Because I know if I threw a punch at him, he’d block it and then there’s that horrible pause when I know a viscous punch or roundhouse kick is coming next to knock my block off or knock me out. I don’t need that!
My mother didn’t raise a fool!
I know when I’m outgunned and outclassed. I know when to fight and when to run!
I’d only fight him with a gun. And even that wouldn’t work probably. He probably dodge the bullets and then kick the gun out of my hand. Then I’m back to square one and getting my head kicked in! Ugh, No thanks! I’ll pass!
Stay safe!

WHY DID THIS SCENE OMIT BRUCE LEE RECALLING THE WISE SAYING OF HIS TEACHER “THE ENEMY ONLY HAS IMAGES AND ILLUSIONS BY WHICH HE HIDES HIS TRUE MOTIVE; DESTROY THE IMAGE AND YOU WILL BREAK THE ENEMY“!?!? THATS THE BEST PART!!!!
Because the original ETD that came out prior to the 25th anniversary of ETD had these omitted as the Executives at Warner Brothers who released ETD back then thought the philosophical parts that Bruce Lee added in was too heavy for the American audience to grasp back then and the deleted scene were added back in when it was released to Blu-Ray! @HiIamFin well I think you would be surprised what the old executives thought not suitable for an American audience like the American redub of the original mad max movie because they thought American audiences wouldn't understand Australian English and yet all Blu ray releases now have the original audio so it's not hard to believe the reason why they removed some of Bruce Lee philosophy and it wouldn't have been because it was cringy I think plenty of movies in America were released in America with cringy dialogue and if you research the film they actually had issues with all the philosophy as it was being made because they wanted a straight action movie
