When I took a visit to Hong Kong last November, I went to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to see the Bruce Lee exhibition. Seeing Han's hands on display in the glass cabinet was a very eerie and exciting moment. Like, the knife blade hand Han uses later on. I remember standing there in the exhibition looking at it thinking "I've seen this countless times on the TV when I've watched the movie, and right now in this moment its inches from my face. Were it not for the glass I could touch it." Ahh Hong Kong, I'll go back there! :D
You'll love it! The only thing that disappointed me about the Bruce Lee exhibition was that they didn't allow photographs to be taken in part of the exhibition for fear of flash damage to some of the artefacts. And it happened to be all the best stuff you couldn't take photo's of. Like Han's bladed hand, Bruce Lee's death mask, his yellow jumpsuit etc, they were all there! :D
That Han was a cheat with his metal hand and that damn bird got in the way else Williams would have knocked him into next week......oh well.....glad that Bruce finished him off in the end. Jim Kelly was and is a legend!!!
I never thought Han killing Williams was believable so Kelly’s story about John Saxon going to his agent to have the script changed makes sense. Let’s be real too, it was 1973 and they needed a ‘name’ white actor to help sell the movie to a white audience and Saxon was a well known name at the time.
Even though this was a brilliant but sad scene, the point was that even though Williams was an efficient martial artist, he was crude and arrogant. Han, although villainous, had a point about the finer aspects of martial arts that Williams failed to appreciate (hence his statement about 'it's not the art but the combat that you enjoy'). We must always be humble and ready to learn things. Defeat is nothing more than a chance to learn. RIP Jim Kelly RIP Shih Kien
I can see what you mean, but Mr Han Man arguably only won because he cheated. Had Williams known about his metal hand he might have fared better. I always felt Mr Han Man was meant to be a hypocrite going on about O'Hara being a coward when he is no better in all of his fights.
@@josephwilson282 true. the director seems to make it very obvious the advantage Han has. with his built-in concealed impact weapon. even those flapping birds helped him get a cheap shot
@@josephwilson282 The metal hand wasn't the issue. Williams after the first kick, realized that if he was hit, it was over. Until those pigeons went in his face and diverted his attention, he was perfectly dodging and blocking Han's blows. And let's face it, Williams was younger and had more gas than Han, who, although skilled, would tire faster.
@@StorytellingMan Jim Kelly was 27 at the time and Shih Kien (Han) was 60. The younger actors had to slow their speed for the much older Kien during choreography.
@@WalterStallworth think Williams would have won, as after the first blow, he was dodging Han's iron fist well. And he had more stamina, Han would tire faster.
I Bruce Lee, his sister, Williams, the 4 guards (if someone saved them from Bolo Yeung, maybe they could be potential allies), the kid at the start and lastly Měilíng joined in this ultimate fight.
I can’t believe Shih Kien/Mr Han learned all his lines phonetically. He says everything with the right tone and inflections for his villainous character. He could of spoken very flatly like a robot. Jim Kelly is just too cool for school. If Bruce Lee was still alive I would have loved to have seen them do another movie together.
Bruce Lee, Jim Kelly, John Saxon, Shie Kien, Bob Wall, Ahna Capri are all gone....😞 Bolo Yeung, Angela Mao and Betty Chung are still here. Do you know the story of Bolo Yeung ? When he was young and already athletic, he wanted to get away from China, and escape famine, so he swam (4 km) across Dapeng Bay to reach Hong Kong and live a new life. From this feat, I think this actor are immortal ! who agrees with this ?
even though Mr Han Man had an iron hand, you at least have to give him credit for being sporting and letting Williams get up almost every time he knocked him down.
If you notice, Han does not begin to beat Williams skull in in the exact spot he fell. Meaning for the scene to work, Williams was dragging his body on the ground because he could no longer get up. Makes the scene more disturbing when you think about it like that.
R.I.P Jim Kelly! Your the coolest guy in film! Such a great talented person and deserves to be remember as a legend who was in the greatest martial arts film ever! I'll be too busy looking good! Because he was and its true!

The first time I saw this movie, being around 10 years old. I couldn't understand why the women were laughing while Jim Kelly was getting beaten. My Mom explained that they were high. That pushed into my mind even further, never touch drugs.
Yes I was not sure as well at that time! Thanks for sharing your story as I felt the same way when I was 13 years old seeing ETD for the first time! Been a fan and collector of Bruce Lee ever since! How long have you been a fan of Bruce Lee and do you also collect Bruce Lee memorabilia? Man if you like Bruce Lee you will love my Bruce Lee CZcams Channel - simply check it out and let me know what you think! Best Charles
@@CharlesDamianoBLC Hi, Charles. I apologize for the delay. I've always enjoyed watching Bruce Lee movies. I'm not a collector. I still haven't seen all of his movies yet. The two I like the most are "Fists of Fury" and "Enter The Dragon". I own those. I will check out your channel. I'm sure it'll give me insight into what Bruce Lee film to watch next. Thanks, Brother. Blessings.

Maybe because Mr. Han gave them the giggles
Norman Bates That comment made my hairs stick up. I’m definitely going to Hong Kong to see this!!!!
😆 Best quote ever… “Man, you come right out of a comic book.”
Jim Kelly one of the great 👍 karate experts of his era.
”Mr Han, suddenly, I’d like to leave your island.” Funniest and most underrated line of the movie.
Nah when Mr han said it is not possible
han should have said 'start swimming bitch !'
What a legend. RIP
И еще много чего интересного
"Man, you come right out of a comic book!" 🤣
'I'll be too busy looking good. " One of my favourite lines in the film.:)
That Han was a cheat with his metal hand and that damn bird got in the way else Williams would have knocked him into next week......oh well.....glad that Bruce finished him off in the end. Jim Kelly was and is a legend!!!
Sadly Bruce didn't know about William's end
I never thought Han killing Williams was believable so Kelly’s story about John Saxon going to his agent to have the script changed makes sense. Let’s be real too, it was 1973 and they needed a ‘name’ white actor to help sell the movie to a white audience and Saxon was a well known name at the time.
Why? Han trained at the same school lee did
48 people come right out of a comic book
roflmfao!
roflmfao!
Make that 96 and counting....they are not very effective.
108
Rest In Peace Bruce Lee, Shih Kien, Jim Kelly and Bob Wall ... thank you all for the memories!
And John Saxon.
john saxon , Anna capri
I think the only member of the cast still alive is Bolo. (Yang Sze)
RIP Jim Kelly
RIP Shih Kien
The younger actors had to slow their speed for the much older Kien during choreography.
we must always remember that nowhere in this planet can a champion marshal artist be beaten by a one handed man.
This scene. The dialogue and eerie and violent death. Unique. Never duplicated.
Jim Kelly. One of the best. Rest In Peace.
He sits with Lee, Saxon, Ahna as rulers of as Lee would have mentioned Heavenly Glory
I always wondered how williams would've fared if they fought in an open field.....without the women and pigeons of course
See Han had all them advantages those walls that tight little study and the metal hand
@@WalterStallworth think Williams would have won, as after the first blow, he was dodging Han's iron fist well.
And he had more stamina, Han would tire faster.
I wish Williams got to live longer 💯. He was an elite character.
Actually Luke Keyes did the voice of Hans
he was dubbed lmao
But he still managed to do the right movements with his mouth accordingly, without being able to speak any English. Very impressive.
I am watching this film every year again and again but enjoy it also again and again..
Williams: Bullshit, mr. Han Man
Han: (Thinking to him self) Oh shit! my name rhymes with that?
"Man, you come right out of a comic book!"
Alternate ending when Hans died, the voice of Williams would haunt him.
"Mr Han Man, right out of a comic book"
When I was young. This scene is creepy!!!!!
When I watch this scene I always cry!!!!!!
Damn that flapping bird. I reckon Williams could have had Han otherwise. The line "bin practising huh?" Is another great Enter quote
I always thought that as a kid
even though Mr Han Man had an iron hand, you at least have to give him credit for being sporting and letting Williams get up almost every time he knocked him down.
Yeah but by that point Williams wasn't even much of a threat.
If you notice, Han does not begin to beat Williams skull in in the exact spot he fell. Meaning for the scene to work, Williams was dragging his body on the ground because he could no longer get up. Makes the scene more disturbing when you think about it like that.
I am watching this movie now and I understand what you mean.
The girls, the music, the lava lighting…Williams did look good, even in defeat. Jim Kelly is a legend. RIP.
When Jim Kelly thru the first kick at Han, I would have like "Damn man, what the hell kinda hand you got" LOL!!!
bushido brown
Its a shame Williams had to die, he knew how to fight properly and could of had so many more great fights and great lines in this film.
Been looking for this clip a very long time thanks!
R.I.P Jim Kelly! Your the coolest guy in film! Such a great talented person and deserves to be remember as a legend who was in the greatest martial arts film ever! I'll be too busy looking good! Because he was and its true!
Rest in piece legend Jim Kelly (*)
Always wondered why Mr. Hahn was able to beat Kelly so easily and then I found out John Saxon's character was supposed to die but being that he was a much bigger name at the time than Jim Kelly his agent was able to get the script changed. And Roper was a terrible martial artist.
So true I read the same thing! Kelly and Lee would have made better team battle the guards at the end of ETD!I was 13 years old seeing ETD for the first time! The moral of the story: Never get busy looking good :)
LOLOLOLOLOLOL 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Love this fight sequence and lesson! Be humble to an older Renegade Shaolin Monk Mr. Han!
Interesting facts: Shih Kien was a highly trained martial artist in real life, and lived to the age of 96! And Jim Kelly was not only a karate champion but a professional tennis player!
Wasnt just the pigeon and Mr Hans iron hand. It was William's attitude problem and arrogance that got him killed.
You're exactly right, Williams wasn't taking the fight seriously at first, and by the time He began to perceive Han as a genuine threat, it was too little too late
0:20 the greatest dialogue in a martial arts movie ever, “ we are all ready to win, just as we are born, knowing only life. It is defeat that you must learn to prepare for“.
“I don’t waste my time with it . When it comes, I won’t even notice.”
“Oh, how so?”.
“ I’ll be too busy looking good.”
I love how this conversation started somewhat philosophical from Han to angered by Williams in a few moments.
Bullshit, Mr. Han Man!
Man! You come right out of a comic book!
Kelly Knew he messed up by the first kick when Han Man blocked it.! Look at his facial expression.! 1:49 He knew that hurted kicking that iron hand.!
Marcus, if you watch. Wiiliams/Kelly figured out Han. He easily blocked Han twice with his superior reach just before that bird interfered in the fight and swinging the momentum of the fight in Han's favor.
“ Bullshit mr Han man” always gets me 😂😂😂😂
Fuckin love the jazz funk music during this killing time...Sooo 70s!
If only Williams told han who else was outside he wouldn't have died
You think so?
He wasn't gonna rat bruce out,he was a stand up guy.
@@inker1972
I don't know, he could at least be vague like "I don't know, I've only seen a certain Chinese guy, because there are lots of them. That's that."
'Man you come right out of a comic book'
Han is like Antonio Margarito. Fighting with a loaded glove
1:26 that kick was epic
Too busy looking good 😎 was a nice touch
Han looks like such a badass villain at 2:32 and at 3:00 when he's looking down at Williams. That's the "mfer you gonna die today" look
Man you come right out of a comic book. I was in high school when "Enter The Dragon " came out. A teacher that I didn't like & he didn't like me said something strange to me. I said those words that Jim Kelly said and that teacher just looked at me strangely. He didn't have a clue what I was saying & I liked the saying from Williams. It's sad how Williams was killed at least he went down fighting. Williams was also cool Cos he didn't revealed to Han who else was outside during the night. That's what's called being a Man he didn't back down.
1:38 always cracks me up LOL
+ninjanizzle Hey you want something done right. You gotta do it yourself.
😂😂😂
RIP Jim Kelly! Man was INCREDIBLE warrior LOL!!! 🙂👍💪
I STILL LOVE SO MUCH THIS MOVIE
The first time I saw this back in the 80s, I could not believe this dude got killed like this. I know it's only a movie but It had me feeling depressed. And finally when they dropped him in the Acid pool, I wanted to cry.
Those girls are witches
You and me both dude. When they pulled him from that water I felt profound misery😢
@@victordeltoids8609 I was a kid, and Jim Kelly was like my Hero. And I wasn't really use to seeing death on TV at that point in my young life, Especially the way he died. When he hit him with that fake hand, and it was leaking, and those girls laughing, that started my misery. It was like a total shock. Just seemed real, and so final to me. Lol
He didn’t get pulled from no water
@@Buddybelly08 I saw this movie once, as a child. I just remember a black Man being Chained up, and dropped in to an Acid pool. I said that wrong.
The man of a comic book?! It seems that people who came out of a comic book are too dangerous.
SHIH KIEN and JIM KELLY, rest in peace! You were both so magnificent and mighty!
Omg, such a legendary movie. There are no words to describe the feelings..
He is a man of extraordinary magnitude!
