I’m a 16 year old girl starting my fitness journey. I’m gonna put my plan here to motivate myself :,) I’m hoping to lose 5lbs in a sustainable fashion.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 minute cardio + 5 minute post stretch
I know it’s not that much, but I did a 10m workout and my legs killed me! I was so sore. I’ll gradually increase the time to 15min, 20min, and then hopefully incorporate different kinds of workouts.

My fitness plan :
2 strength workouts/gym
2 days of yoga/Pilates
1 day of volleyball
Walking outside daily
Mon, Wed, Sat: Full body strength training gym sesh (10 min HIIT on Mon and Sat as well)
Tues and Thurs: 1 hour walk and core circuit
Friday: 1 hour walk
Love my fitness routine for this season of my life! My goal is 25% body fat, healthy waist to height ratio, 8 hours of sleep, and healthy heart rate.
I do home workout 5 times a week and stretch on Saturdays. I follow a workout calendar from my favourite fitness youtuber. Love you Janet ❤️

My routine is workout 5x per week:
2 leg days
1 upper body
And 2 Apple fitness (whatever I want days).
Just finished my 3 month Body Recompisition, 5 lbs down!
I started taking my fitness seriously back in July. I was weightlifting 5x plus cardio 2x a week AND Pilates 3x a week. And as you’re probably thinking, while I looked great in a pretty short amount of time I got completely burned out 🤣 and then I had a setback in another area in my life and it automatically made me give up on my fitness goals quick but that was because I was overdoing it and it was easy for me to give up the hard thing first. I really curated my workout routine now to just 45 minutes- 1 hour a day 5 times a week focusing on what I love (weightlifting) and working out is now a non-negotiable in my life that I actually look forward to everyday

Looking great Janet!! I too love fitness classes. Currently, I am part of Lifetime Fitness & do 3 GTX classes a week and one outdoor class they do on Saturdays. I love it but I am thinking about changing it in 2024. I have learned as long as I love it and moving then I will continue to do it.

I was waiting for the part 2 video of a fitness journey and routine set up. I am not sure if I am going through this video soon after you post as there can be a time difference.

Not to mention - weight bearing exercise is key for us as women to maintain bone density as we age! If we start in our 20s and 30s we will thank ourselves in our 50s-60s

My 2024 routine is:
1. 30 min walk
2. 1-2 Pilates class
3. 1 OTF class
This is what I enjoy. I hope to be able to add weight lifting in my routine at some point over the time.
I will never cancel my class pass membership because it is the a financial life saver 🎉
Right now my fitness routine is 4-5 strength workouts a week and 1 active recovery run. I’ve been going thru Caroline Girvan’s Iron program since Veterans Day and hope to finish by EOY. Lots of walking - during my lunch break and after work with my husband. In total it’s at least an hour of walking.
Next year I want to be comfortable with heavier weights (recently got 25 lb dumbbells and 1 55 lb dumbbell) and incorporate more speed running!
And yes on the fitness class emails! I just got one from Barry’s bc I haven’t gone in a while - and they’re giving me a free class and guest pass

I started CrossFit in August and I go 4 - 6 days a week. I get up at 4 AM and I’m at the gym at 4:30 AM. I don’t have time to think about whether I’m going or not. I just get up, get ready, and go.
You're so right about not listening to different people on the internet. It can be very confusing. What's working for me . I love Pilates, lifting weights, cycling and doing Zumba are my favorite exercises. I've been meaning to ask you about that Stanley Cup . How long does it keep cold and hot? Thank you for sharing.

You're so right about not giving yourself the option to go workout. I workout in my basement and the moment I think about going to workout I have to go do it or I won't.

M - heavy lifting
T - cardio - walk / run / hiit / hot yoga
W - lifting w/Sydney Cummings
R - carried - walk / run / hiit / hot yoga
F - heavy lifting

For my main fitness I go to work! I am car-less and work in an active/busy health care job. I usually get more than enough movement from walking/commuting to work and just from doing my day-to-day job. Next year, I do want to incorporate more pilates/yoga and running outside of work!

I’m a track athlete on my local team and I recently registered for our city’s local marathon, I’m super nervous and excited for it but the weather’s been horrible here! Any tips for running in bad weather?
I mainly get my Pilates workout from CZcams University lol one day I'll do a class. I do that alongside weights also, maybe I'll join a gym not ready yet lol

You have been so helpful in keeping me motivated over the last month! I got some not so great health news right after my birthday, which forced me to make some serious changes. I’ve lost almost 10lbs already, mainly by reducing my sugar intake and snacking. Exercise wise, I’m a gym girlie, but I gifted myself Pilates for my bday, and I can definitely say that I’m in my Pilates era right now. Currently trying to find the right balance of pilates and weight lifting with my trainer, along with peloton classes and getting in those 10K steps a day (I currently wfh).
