Thank you for sharing this technique. Your handmade botanical is absolutely gorgeous. I am going to give this a try. Looks easy but have to be careful. Wonder when applying first layer let it dry then do some stamping or ephemera then add second layer. Would this work.
You're most welcome! Thanks so much! It's easy, but light hand is preferable 😊. I haven't tried stamping in between layers, because the leaves and flowers tend to be a bit bumpy at first. If you decide to stamp, I'd do it on the first layer before adding petals and leaves. Then apply glue again add whatever you want and place the second layer and glue again. It's a longer process, but might be worthwhile 😊
This is a great idea...
This looks like SO much fun! The colors are pretty, and everything is natural. How adorable that the neighbours kitty came, helped themselves to some cat food, and had a cuddle with Gramma. Cats know who they want to be with, and choose their hoomans. ❤
love the last one love all your work thank you
So glad! Thank you so much 😊❤️
Such lovely paper. Thank you so much for sharing this technique!
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
I love the cat story! Your faux handmade paper videos are fantastic. I tried the one with the hand made spray starch and it worked really well. Thank you and please continue to post videos like this.
Oh, thank you so much! I’m really glad that you enjoy my videos! I’ll do my best to make more 😊❤️
Love these. They look fantastic. My cat used to go over for a chicken wing and sleep on their sofa next door for the afternoon
Thank you so much! Oh, the cats are so cute and curious and a bit silly at times. I have 5 at the moment and sometimes I wonder if they go for a visit around the neighborhood 😆
Your videos are so lovely, relaxing and full of great information. I loved your cat story, I laughed so much! We too have a neighborhood cat who comes through our cat door and eats our cat's food and visits!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it! Oh, cats are so cute, funny and unpredictable. Love them 😆
thank you with no hesitation I am a follower of your videos. Just my kind of art creator. Thank you.
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment 😊❤️
Love to watch your tutorials and the cat story.
I can't wait till flowers are in bloom so I can have a try. I have those $ tree cutting mats I want to use. I don't eat cereal. The mats are sturdy enough to be able to move easily. I love my Christmas cactus & and now I won't hate it so much when they dry up & fall off. Thank you.
You’re so welcome! Glad the video was helpful and inspirational. Thank you very much for watching 😊❤️
Love your work, beautiful ! That cat story was hilarious.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it! 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely beautiful. I love using what you have available.
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. Thank you for watching 😊❤️
Great story, your blessed to still have your Grandma! This is a beautiful lesson, I will be trying this technique! Thank you for sharing! 🌻🌞
Claudia, thank you so much! Yes, I'm blessed to have my Grandma, it's good to have family around and we should appreciate every moment we have with them. I'm really glad you enjoyed the tutorial! These papers are so much fun! ❤️
This is a great idea and the results are so effective. One idea struck me as I was watching - that this would be a brilliant way of using up left over sewing machine or embroidery threads, too : ) I can't wait to try both! x
Thank you so much! Yes, threads would definitely add more texture and another dimension. I might try as well. Have fun experimenting 😊
Great !!
These are awesome, thank you for sharing this technique.
You are so welcome! ❤️
I've just discovered this channel and it's like meditation. Btw, ı am not surprised by your sensitivity towards animals❤
Hello and welcome to the channel! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Oh, my pets are numerous and I love them all! Thank you very much for watching 😊❤️
Thank you for sharing ur technique, I'm going to try this with some greens from my yard, plus two plain napkins, ❤️❤️❤️
You're most welcome! I'm really glad you liked the idea! I hope you have fun creating some! Thank you so much for watching ❤️❤️❤️
@@Saacibo hi, yes I was already out in my yard picking up some green leafs
New subscriber here 😃. I love your work! I remember seeing Natasha from Treasure Books do a video on this technique a couple of years ago. She called it faux handmade paper. It really is a lot of fun to make.
Hello and welcome 🤗! Thanks so much for subscribing and watching! Natasha has the best tutorials, I love her channel, and yes my technique is similar to hers, we both use watered down PVA glue and napkins to create faux handmade paper. She also used copy paper and different fibers in hers, and the result was a thicker paper with a beautiful texture. If I remember correctly she made some gorgeous journals covers with them 😊
@@Saacibo ❤️
I love this Dragana, and what a great addition to the collaboration. Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm going to have a lot of this paper as I keep all my napkin backs but I rarely actually use them for anything! 😊💕 Rose xxx
You're most welcome Rose! I'm really glad you like the idea! I'm loving the fact that I can use my napkin backs as well. I collected so many. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment!💕😊
I’m so glad it was helpful! Great idea adding a colored napkin on top. Thank you very much for watching 😊❤️
You were mentioned in the closing video of the #howtobotanical thereby bringing you into the collaboration. I hope that is ok, LOL. I love this and want to give this a go real soon. And I really love the fact that it puts to use the waste from the napkins I use for decopauge. It kinda looks like mulberry paper to me. Very pretty. TFS.
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️ I'm really glad you liked the idea. It's fun and addictive. I reduced my waste from napkins to almost none 😆. I'm very happy that my video was mentioned, when I read your comment I went over there to check it out. It's great to be a part of a group of so many talented creators who joined in the event. I'm grateful for it! 😊
These are all lovely! Brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing 🌺

Those are beautiful!!
Thank you so much ❤️
I can’t wait to try this! Thank you! And such a funny story about Pango and the neighbor’s cat!😅
You're welcome! So glad you got inspired. Oh, Pango, so naughty and adorable at the same time. He's always involved in some drama 🤣
These look amazing !
Thank you so much ❤️😊
Love this technique I've been pressing flowers for a couple of years what a great way to use my stash love thi
I'm really glad you liked it! I love pressing flowers and keeping them as well! There's just so much beauty around us, this is a great way to preserve some of it!❤️
Wonderful tutorial, I made a few of those a few years ago only single layer I may try it with 2 it seems more durable. LoL those cat doors we had cats years ago with a cat door Big male tabby decided to make himself at home on the couch , But not for long My senior cat took him on chased him out, never happened again, Mind you she tackled a German shepherd once.
Ahahaha, cats a funny! And so smart 😂!
I experimented with one layer too, but I found once they were dry, petals sometimes started peeling off. Perhaps I wasn't doing it right. With two layers, petals were trapped and not going anywhere! Thank you so much for watching! I love your comment!💕
This paper is so pretty!! -Thanks for sharing your process❤️
You're most welcome! Thanks so much for watching❤️
Absolutely beautiful! Lots of Love, Light and Laughter!
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Will definitely have to try this, looks great😃
That's great, I'm glad! Thank you! ❤️
Thank you so much for this. I am waiting for my ones to dry ♥️♥️♥️
You're most welcome! I'm really glad you made some. Peeling them off once they're dry is the best feeling😍. Thank you so much for watching and for a lovely comment ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you..so nice to see something different and a fun thing besides, collage, pockets, flaps and flips.. goin to try this with leftover napkins from a project I completed last night!
Thanks so much! I'm really glad you like it. It's a lot of fun and a bit different, and it's spring, so flowers are abundant. ❤️
These are GORGEOUS!!! I'm going to do this today. Perfect for journal pages and envelopes!! Maybe collage too?? I will try it.

I am totally enthusiastic 💙😉😇🥳 I tried it yesterday and this morning I peeled the dry "paper" off the backing. It is absolutely gorgeous to look at 💙 Thanks Dragana for sharing. It is not my last paper 😇😘
Wow, I'm really glad you tried it! It's easy and fun, isn't it? You can quickly make several and just leave them overnight to dry! If they're wrinkly leave them under something heavy until you're ready to use them ❤️
@@Saacibo it is so much fun... Addicted to it 😅😅

Have you ever tried using coffee water with the glue for a vintage look?
Yes, I have. I’ve tried using colored inks, too. You might find this video interesting czcams.com/video/AG7Vh1LF9xk/video.htmlsi=hY9FvxuCKFG7knkw

It really is a great way to capture some of the beauty from our gardens, because before we know it it's winter again! ❤️
This is fabulous Dragana! I can't wait to try it 😍💖 New subbie here 😀 xoxo
Welcome! 💕Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! Making these papers is so much fun! 😀❤️
I have looked for this exact technique. Absolutely beautiful. Would parchment paper work for the base. It has a slick surface. Thanks!! I am going to get all materials and start this project.
Thank you so much for watching. Glad it was useful. I haven’t tried with parchment paper, yet. I have a feeling it would work. If you try using it with this technique, please share the results with us, if you don’t mind ❤️😊
Absolutely beautiful. Going to try it. I wonder if one can spray the glue over with a spray bottle. Thanks for a lovely tutorial.
You're most welcome! Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you're going to try! I haven't tried spraying the glue. If you do, I'd love to know how it goes! Perhaps it's a better way of achieving the same result! ❤️
I have tried this before- not as successful. It’s worth another try! Thanks
You're most welcome! I hope you get better results next time. Thanks for watching!
👍👍👍💕💕💕🇩🇰
Thank you 💕
Found you in the FB group. New subbie here. Thanks for sharing this. The paper is so beautiful! and you did say that we can just use fresh flowers and leaves without drying them first, right? thank you ❤
Hello and welcome! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. I used dried flowers and leaves. I think fresh ones have a lot of juices in them so I'm not sure how would that affect the drying time of the paper. With leaves, I leave them flat in a book for about 3-4 days or a week if they are really thick, and petals I usually just air dry for a few days. I have seen an add for a video tutorial on how to dry plants in a microwave, but I can't find the link now. ❤️
@@Saacibo thanks for the tips on drying flowers and leaves 😊
@@chatmarie8747 you're most welcome! ❤️
I wonder if mod podge and water would work?
I haven't tried with mod podge, but I think it would work. I prefer to use white glue because it dries faster and it's not sticky after.
Do the leaves an plants have to be dryed or not?
I used dried leaves, I haven't tried with fresh ones. You could probably use fresh but it might take longer for the paper to dry, and I didn't want to risk them getting moldy so I used dried ones 😊
Dear I’d like to ask you, I got many bubbles which made it look not as gorgeous as yours, any tips for that? I tried to remove couple but they are a lot and it started to tear 🥲
Hello Dina, thanks so much for watching. Bubbles sometimes form if the plants we use are not pressed flat during drying process and if the leaves or flowers are too big and bulky. It's annoying when it happens. I try to poke them to let the air out and add more glue. I add another napkin on top while still wet If there're too many holes. Also, less bubbles will form if you start glueing the napkins from the centre towards edges. I hope this helps. 😊❤️
@@Saacibo thank you so much dear for replying 🤍🤍 will give it a try again I won’t give up 😅 thank you so much again for all your amazing tutorials 🙏🏻🤍🤍🤍
