45:26 “instead of going to rehab, he was hired by TNA” bro just described like half the roster 💀
90% of rehabs don't work. The only good ones are the ones for the extremely rich. The rest don't care about their patients. The rehab industry is disgusting. It's not about keeping ppl alive, ITS ABOUT $$$$!
LOL
Chris Benoit being in TNA certainly would have been interesting.
I agree. I think Benoits run would have been similar to Kurt Angles cause he took wrestling so seriously
@@AgeOfWrestlingtotally agree, his run would be a lot like Angles, very intense and self destructive, guaranteed he wouldn’t have survived the elements very long though with how loose TNA was back then
Kurt “ Perc “ Angle was INSANE. Dude was doing somersaults off the stage and moonsaults off 20FT steel cages. My favorite run from his career 💯
Prob the most underrated run outside WWE at that time
Put over Joe, AJ, Daniels, Anderson. Dope matches w/ Anderson, Jeff Hardy, Abyss.
No joke, Kurt Angle's TNA run was arguably better than his WWE run, not to mention longer too. Too bad he was battling demons outside of the ring during his TNA slint.
Perc Angle was legendary. I’m glad he’s much better now in terms of addiction but the perc era of Kurt was amazing
Why do you need to emphasize that he had a drug addiction you dick? didn't you ever have any issues?
Remember when he held all the titles in TNA while holding the IWGP Heavyweight Championship? Those were great times '06-'07 Kurt Angle was different.
Daffney to me is the most heartbreaking story in wrestling history. I feel so awful whenever it comes up. RIP Daffney.
I agree. RIP Daffney.
i never heard this story before, im literally cryng rn
This story is so sad... also the stripping story as well... Daffney was so talented..
I hate that it happened to her. TNA was a mess back then.. She was a gorgeous wrestler and she seemed so fired up all the time, so natural and giving it all inside of the ring. I wish TNA was better.. a lot of things happened :c
Then you think about it, the Kurt "Perc" Angle, Jeff Hardy story has a lot to tell as well about how TNA cared about their talent mental and physical health too... Really WTF Dixie did with this Company. CM Punk and other WWE stars talked about how WWE did not care about talent health, but this "uncare" is on another level in TNA. And in the end we get stories like Daffney tragedy.
Ya know what? As uncomfortable as Piper calling out Russo for Owen's death might have been, I will forever insist that it's justified. The whole gimmick that led to his death was Russo's idea, and it was spite booking cuz Owen didn't want to do a more tawdry angle. I don't blame Piper for taking his opportunity to chew him out at all.
Also, I knew about Daffney's death, but I didn't know the details. That poor woman, I hope her soul found some peace.
Disagree. The only reason it was said was for ratings, which makes it gross. Plus, McMahon has shot down plenty of unhinged Russo gimmicks, & he easily could’ve shot down that one too….especially since Owen was scared of it to begin with. The boss should get the blame, especially since VKM was the who had final say on everything. A lot of blame should also be on the company who did the harnesses. It could’ve been done safely, but they fd up bad.
The Daffney thing was worse according to what I've heard. she was encouraged by those backstage including Mick Foley and Vince Russo to take big bumps in order to further her career, except these bumps did serious damage to her and the company still didn't give her any push, she was always treated as a minor character. Then she took a really big bump which left her unable to wrestle but the company released her and didn't help her with medical bills. Unable to work anymore and still suffering physically, she eventually took her own life.
Daffney said Foley told her not to take such big bumps for weekly shows and if she really wanted to take such bumps, she should save them for big shows.
Russo however pushed her to do more and more, claiming that he'd write more material for her and give her a push. However behind the scenes he was running her down for not being "hot" enough, and saying that all she could do was bump so they should just use her to her heat.
So Russo is guilty as charged but Foley seems to have been trying to help her.
I feel like Chris Benoit would have fit right in in TNA. I think he'd have a run similar to Kurt Angle's.
I agree. Chris Benoit in TNA would have been legendary
Perk Benoit?
@@sauronsmundwinkelcte chris😭😭
Chris had the brain of an 80 year old dementia patient and the body of a roided out bodybuilder. His story was never going to end well
All jokes aside, Perc Angle was a pretty interesting character. A super athletic maniac who can't feel pain. 😅
Love the ice berg videos. Ice berg videos on WCW and ECW would be awesome too.
Oh hell yeah brother, those are great ideas. thanks for watching!
Impact made a point of apologizing about how okada was booked when they re-established their relationship with NJPW.
Im glad they fixed their relationship with NJPW!
You mean TNA (under the infamous Hulk Hogan era)
@@KadeemG61 no, I mean impact.
@@KadeemG61 This was after Hogan left and Dixie was no longer in control either.
It's completely fucked up what TNA did to Daffney. They killed her...but unfortunately no one will ever be held accountable
Kurt on a Perc was a different beast. Perc Angle was something else man!
Kurt on a Bean 💊
R.i.p Daffney fuck tna for what they did to you
Fyi the actress who played Claire Lynch really truly left TNA because idiot wrestling fans were harrasing her online also. And it seems like the role of Clair Lynch ruined her acting career.
Not wrestling fans...wrestling marks
Her acting career was ruined by her inability to act, not marks.
She claims TNA lost her work, but she was playing olive oyl in the park before she was cast as Claire. I can't help but feel she wasn't overburdened with work before the Claire Lynch angle.
@@medes5597 FYI, No casting directors want to deal with Talent than can be seen as "Problematic " on any level and Casting Directors (like any employer) looks up a Talent. And if there's red flags some talent doesn't get cast or lose jobs. CD's are flaky like that. I can kind of buy that she ran into some minor roadblocks if she tried to book certain things and Back then CD's ,unless it was the WWF, might go "Wrestling?? Eh"
@@Filmation77 I mean tna lied to her about how many people watched the show and so on.
But her main story is that a casting director saw her on tna, and thought she was ridiculously over the top and rejected her outright. As bad as TNA was to talent, I don't think a guy thinking you were bad on a show is their fault.
It definitely wasn't cool how they tracked her down and made her life miserable but I'm still skeptical of her story about it costing her a career. I'm not sure her career would have gone much differently without tna.
@@medes5597 #1. Unless it's a Porn ,most working actors DON'T CARE how many people watch a show
#2.a Casting Director saw her performance on that episode and not cast her? Casting Directors don't work like that. If her Auditions sucked or her whole reel wasn't good she probably wasn't brought in(I'm former Casting assistant for Theate and Film) I've never heard that story and there's actually an episode about Claire Lynch on The Wrestling With Wregret Channel that tells the full story of her time in TNA
I liked aces and 8s when it first started great concept I did enjoy it for awhile
Yeah Aces and 8s was a fresh concept when they first came out
At the end there was the funeral with some funny segments such as Eric Young crying, Samoa Joe passing out beers and teasing Kurt before pulling back, or Mike Tenay pretending to put Brooke's booty shorts into the casket only to discreetly stuff them into his jacket pocket with Magnus pointing and nodding in approval.
My heart broke at the mispronunciation of Christy Hemme. Anyways love the video, keep it up. I'm always excited for these iceberg videos, actually most videos on this channel.
My apologies, How do you pronounce her name?
@@AgeOfWrestling it's basically as it's written (Hemm-e). You were very close but just missed the last e
@@AgeOfWrestlingIt sounds like "Hemmy"
It’s not that serious
“My heart broke” get a grip
Why is cm punk always fighting with wrestlers from every major promotion 😂
BECAUSE HES THE BEST IN THE WORLD! IN THAT RING, ON THIS MICROPHONE!
39:46 only a wild slapnut can confront a guy with a gun with a chair. One of the wrestler of all time.
I didn't know I wanted this video, but I am so thankful for you for making it!
That Jordynne Grace segment... Holy crap. There's no way she's not taking steroids lol.
Her body lol, you say this about Roman or
I love Kurt Angle face! They should make a wrestling buddy with that expression on it's face.
Daffney caught me off guard, shame she didnt get valued, she was a beatiful woman
Once thriving? Modern day TNA is popping off, you're crazy if you think TNA is over
Thank you!!!
Damn I had no idea about dafney rip
Forgot to mention the August 1st warning being Tito Ortiz 😂😂😂
Tna iceberg
Oh hell yeah brother, thanks for watching
Was really getting into this yesterday so im glad that it was reuploaded!
PERC ANGLE FOR THE WIN
THE BEAN KICKED IN
You should make a WWE iceberg video next
He did one before AEW Iceberg.
Oh hell yeah brother
Nah I’ve never made a WWE iceberg, the one before the AEW iceberg was a lost media iceberg
That video could be about 2 or 3 hours long LOL. Plus what we just found out about Vince..
On the one hand, Dixie Carter kept TNA alive. But she did it on cringe and stuck it on life support.
Puppet taking out the gun was so epic 😂
Thanks for fulfilling my suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Oh yeah, Jordynne is on something for sure.
Good stuff. Only issue I have is with the statement Karen left Kurt for Jarrett. Karen and Kurt were separated, for quite a while actually, before Karen and Jarrett became an item. All 3 have verified that. It was never Karen leaving Kurt for someone else.
Thanks for pointing that out! i wish i had a time machine to fix that!
GTS Iceberg lol
LOL, go to sleep?
@@AgeOfWrestling you know you want to, its will happen
@@AgeOfWrestling Grims Toy Show lol
I've waiting for this from long time. Gonna enjoy every sec of this video
Thank you for watching !
What Iceberg video would you like to see next?
WWE
Or womens wrestling
Roh
AJPW, Combat Zone Wrestling, Ring of Honor, WCW, ECW, NWA, PWG.
WCW and ECW.
Surprised that the TNA Crew member who fell to his death wasn't on here
God damn, TNA around this time sounded so insane. I wish I was around to witness it all
Awesome video!
Thank you for watching !
Excellent review video TNA wrestling is my favorite pro wrestling company in the world today
Great video!
THank you for watching!
😮 I thought you post this already
Yeah it was up for about 10 minutes yesterday until i saw comments saying that my voice was only coming from the right side so I had to fix it.
@@AgeOfWrestling oh
Kurt Angel was killing it in is his TNA run!!
I felt sorry for the woman playing Claire lynch, she was just doing her job, it’s the material was crap, heard she was getting hate, not her fault
Who hasn't had a scuffle with Teddy Hart? I think I've had a scuffle with him, AND WE'VE NEVER MET!!
Unpopular opinion: The reverse battle royal match wasn't bad because of the stipulation 😅
At least TNA is on the come up again and will probably steamroll over AEW in the coming years.
No chance
Perc angle was fearless of injury because if he got hurt, he would subsequently get MORE percs
21:35 They couldn't even bother to have him pull up in a white van before the match started just to finish the angle with literally anything, lol.
AgeOfWrestling, you also forgot to put in the TNA Great Riot in the TNA Iceberg. It was considered the wildest moments in TNA.
46:54 - I've never heard of Dr Stevie Richardson
"ruled as a self deletion" tf?
Can't say "suicide" or you get de-monetized...
I'm surprised you didn't mention Brock Lesnar calling Kurt Angle to try and get a job with TNA. He asked Kurt what he was making and then said if you could get me the same or close I'll come but when Kurt went and asked, they said no.
It's easy they were on fire until they started to hire stars from the past one after the other without control. The icing on the cake was the hogan and bishof era. I wonder wich other company is doing the same thing today 🤔
Very Original, Love the Content.
Jordyn Grace looks horrible, she was beautiful
She's practically a man now...
The tna electric cage makes me wonder....how do private citizens get C4 to use in exploding cage matches? And why couldn't tna do the CZW thing and say the C4 sparks are electric?
OMG Matt Hardy. Why not put 1994 instead of 1974. Of course people got the wrong idea
4:17 jumpscare
Nope, just Kurt Angle high on painkillers.
LOL
hey I actually liked the feast or fire match it’s just hard to work around the fired part
Decline, buddy TNA is The little Company that could......
Always great wrestling even if u dont heàr about story lines
The fact that TNA is alive today is crazy! They have survived through so much
Jordynne Grace used to be so beautiful
I agree. I’m not a fan of the roided up version of her
Thank you for the great video
Thank you for watching!
Not the "half pint wrestler" lol
Tessa Blanchards original tweet shouldn’t have been career altering… seriously… that was around the time a generation of cake pops took over 😩
Well in TNA I'm guessing there was no policy about mentioning Benoit
actually, It's Bryan Alvarez (not Meltzer) that yelled "Minus Five Stars" and turned into a meme. Dave Meltzer gave Jenna vs. Sharmell -4 stars.
Gonna have to make another video now
47:11 this was years before that meetoo thing.
Man, TNA in early 2000's had some of the best fights, and Samoa Joe was one of my favorites on their roaster, too bad it all went to shit
Jordynne Grace defo on the gas. Shes sponsored by 5% nutrition, should speak for itsself.
Why doesn’t people call her out it’s physically impossible for a woman to look like that without help of the juice
To be fair with Tessa. Women in office jobs, from own experience, are so goddamn hostile towards each other
We all know paige was the villain of that relationship
Thank you for this video, take care.
Thank you for watching! Take care as well
I never knew the full details of daphne's death,
I knew she commited suicide but i never knew how.
Wow...
Now aew is old wwes talent retirement home 😂😂😂😂
So true 😂
@@AgeOfWrestling I wonder if they offer a walker and a bed to sleep in
The day AJ Styles left, that was the day it died
That Scott Steiner promo made perfect sense. If you take the numbers he was throwing out, they add up. It was just that what he was saying sounded like a lot of screaming nonsense but it adds up. He made all the sense he needed
true, atleast 75% of the promo makes sense but then towards the end he just starts saying random stuff. Hilarious tho
Anyone know who “allegation 12” is at 9:30? Asking for a friend.
I knew as soon as Nash showed up they were done
Well that got Dark quickly O_O
Feast or Fired was absolutely great!
Does Vince Russo spontaneously combast if he doesnt book a gimmick match i genuinely think his life is at risk😭😭😭
🤣🤣🤣
Okada has since returned to this new error of TNA
Good video. Gimmick matches are stupid AF
Wow, disney fired him for that, but hired and protected tons of hollywood talent that could make them money? Well COLOUR ME SURPRISED AT THAT ONE! :O
RIP Daffney 🙏🏻
Yo who’s is that baddie on the Joey Ryan part in the allegation number 12 ?!?
One of the best wrestling channels
Thanks for watching!
Not to mention the impressionist rebel flag painted on Hardy's face.
oh dang i tried to forget what they did to abyss being a big monster wrestler fan . i thought abyss and sting was soo cool but this show really screwed them over.
Didn't know Lockdown 2007 had two of the worst matches.
Is it the worst TNA PPV?
If you close your eyes at around 1135 to 1155 you would think that was a kid that skipped puberty and went straight to adulthood 😂
good job bro kudos to you more
How about wrestlers iceberg
Interesting 🤔
That Claire Lynch angle was awful ( It would make better sense if she make her debut pinning the Knockouts Champion than with that angle ).
I will never take Waltman seriously as a member of the Kliq or the nWo. Same with Triple H.
Didn't know Piper and Owen Hart were cousins.
