  • Unless you live under a rock, there has clearly been a spike in baby mama culture and a weird obsession of rapper's baby mamas. But why is this happening?

      It’s totally okay for women to be beautiful & successful, whether their relationships work out or not. SHAMING WOMEN FOR NOT BEING MARRIED IS MISOGYNY! Black women are “witch hunting” successful single mothers because society said that “hood Black women” who are NOT centering a man are supposed to be suffering. This “baby mama culture” conversation is a dead end for the Black community & plays into respectability politics. Single Mother’s will continue to prosper & be successful & their is nothing wrong with that.

      I know women who are single mothers but at least got pregnant when engaged and chose men who are ACTIVELY INVOLVED in their kids life.
      Black folks like you always want people to celebrate dysfunction! Being a baby momma to a dead beat is dysfunctional, letting a man expose you to STIs so you can “get a bag” is DYSFUNCTIONAL. Get a therapist, talk to a sociologist and you would know this!

    i think what's sad about these girls obsessing over these women and wanting so desperately to be in a similar position says a lot about the people wanting to live these lifestyles. Most of the time (almost always) they don't want to have AND raise another human and they usually just want a fast way to be rich and have these men stuck to them. That's not to say women are gold diggers and i do think these types of relationships mutually benefit both sides in some way or another BUT it's at the cost of their morals, integrity, and it has them constantly embarrassed in public (especially if they still attempt to have a romantic relationship with the famous person).
    I think these girls that are so obsessed just dont have anything going for them other than wanting to be rich, they rarely have enough ambition to get money of their own. it just says a LOT about the girls who look up to these women, usually they are so incredibly insecure and boring (?) that they're completely fine with being constantly embarrassed publicly by men who really do not give a single shit if they live or die.
    I just wish women knew their worth and had more aspirations than being rich at the cost of being constantly ridiculed and disrespected.

    There is so many examples of why this lifestyle is toxic, I can’t imagine buying into it. Most of these women are attracted to that street type. All these men were hustlers. The ones with the biggest bag will always attract the most women. And in that culture, no one cares about two parent households or are shamed for being a single parent. I want my man success and values to look way different.

  • @doriwillkerson2055
    @doriwillkerson2055 Před rokem +112

    It is becoming a REAL PROBLEM. I see TikTok’s all the time bashing women that would rather have their own then ones that sit back and get pampered. LIKE AREN’T WE MOVING PAST THOSE TIMES? There is nothing wrong with wanting to be with a man that can afford to get you things and treat you like a princess. It’s different to seek out a man to do those things, so you can what, soak in his wealth and lifestyle? Where is the individuality, the independence. It’s 2022 our goals in a relationship should be way more in depth than dating a man that for what he can do for you, history has proven love is way more than that. Why can’t we, as women, have it all, a career, A MAN THAT LOVES AND RESPECTS US, pampers us, and sees us as their equal? WE DESERVE BETTER!!!! 😔

      Please don't shame anyone for not wanting a career. Building a career is not easy. There's nothing wrong in wanting to be pampered and loved. I don't agree at all with the whole baby mama situation but I think it's okay for women or men to marry into wealth if they don't want a career for themselves. Don't shame anyone's choices.

    SHADEROOM *cough* cough*, the most toxic page i have ever seen. Since i followed this page i have noticed the toxic nature of black culture especially the music/enterainment/ celebrity culture. Sadly, i now know people's/celebrities names that i would not have bothered to know before or who they are, and shaderoom are obsessed with rappers and their baby mamas. There are some good things in there too, the fun side of it but it's mostly toxic and honestly i have a love hate relationship with the page.
