I think our main problem is that too many British people repeat those fundy religious USA youtubers who call everything lefty, that's in fact mainly promoted by the USA to the rest of the world. In reality, the main left wing policies of socialist countries like most of those in Scandinavia and north Europe, are a free health service and free or cheap university.
Look how more diverse we have become since taking Farage's advice to leave the EU and becme more of a USA lapdog. Farage is an ex Tory banker who needs to keep our economy closely linked with USA banks. It's like the anti EU morons don't realise white people come from Europe.
People in the USA who rant on about lefties also think a socialised health care system or not being $60,000 in debt to go to university are bad ideas. While they don't care a lot of ther money is spend on funding extremist groups to overthrow leaders friendly with Russia, or who don't want to trade oil in Dollars. Such as Afghanistan wasn't extremist until the USA were arming and training them there in the 80s against Russia.
The reason some British people also use the word lefty in that cultural context, despite most of us thinking the NHS is wonderful and seeing anti EU Tories promote cultural liberalism and multiculturalism more than any other political party, is that Britain is also run by the international bankers and our media is owned by them, trying to dumb down society by forcing talentless celebs and trashy Americans in our faces as role models, and trying to encourage everybody to live in greed, debt and a permanent state of war. Such as houses in the USA and Britain are classed as things to buy up and make money from others, than being homes.

    • @SuzLa1
      @SuzLa1 Před rokem

It's like how politicians made people think they were being nationalist to leave the EU, to then give us the most diverse government is history. Or how people thought Nigel Farage was right wing, when he only wanted to leave the EU to keep the British economy closely linked to USA banks, encouraging people to live in greed and debt, so he can sell his get rich quick schemes.
Getting people to chant the word lefty, so they support USA capitalism and blame Labour for what USA capitalism causes, is so they keep voting for political parties like Tories who want our culture and economy to be the same as the USA. It's only the USA that has a TV show for the child trans Jazz Jennings, only a USA magazine that made Caitlyn Jenner woman of the year, and now Dylan for the USA sports brand Nike. While the USA say they won't make female gen ital mutilation illegal and many USA women tell them they prefer them to not have a foreskin, so their penis end becomes calloused and less sensitive. USA shouldn't be allowed to call itself a western nation while they make mutilating children preferable.
It's also only USA men who are banned from entering some European countries for making websites encouraging men abuse women while travelling. While all actual left wing countries like Sweden promote are socialised health care and child environmental activists.

I think the main problem with England is we have too many people who repeat all our USA owned media, blaming lefties for everything USA capitalism promotes to Britain, and that's why we're in the mess we're in now. People thought Farage wanted to leave the EU for good of British people, when he's an ex Tory banker who just wants to keep the British economy closely linked with USA banks, encouraging British people to live in a permanent state of greed, debt and war. If people were really aware, they could see that Farage causes mass immigration and diversity with causing us to be more closely linked to the USA, and the USA is the main promoter of a melting pot society to Britain. While the main policies of actual lefty countries such as those in Scandinavia and the rest of north Europe are a free health service.
Nigel Farage resigned as soon as getting people to vote to leave the EU, to leave us out the EU with the most diverse promoting Tory party ever, yet people still say lefty to mean those who promote diversity, when USA capitalism and UK Tories promote diversity more.
UKIP started with the French born James Goldsmith, whose family changed their name to sound British. He wanted to create problems with Britain and the rest of Europe, to keep our economy closely linked with USA banks.
Scotland and the rest of the UK seem to have more sense, as since they have devolution to counteract Tory policies, they have voted in politicians who care about their people, to give them things like free prescriptions and university. While England has diversity and English students could buy a house with the amount of debt they need to repay.

Churchill would have ended straight into the 3rd world war, if the wise people of the UK, who were tired of wars, had not voted him off. The reason why is everything is going haywire once again is because the capitalist system has become unchained again, no rules and no laws for the big banks and conglomerates. Often you get those who say the word lefty as an insult towards promotion of trans kids and multiculturalism, but the main country that promote trans kids is from capitalist USA. How much does China promote trans kids and a melting pot society compared to the USA? How many transgender children are there in Communist or ex Communist and left wing countries compared to capitalist countries?
I think British people should be careful about getting too involved with those USA. extreme religious, misogynist youtubers, just because they have lots of subscribers, as they might use the anti trans message to get views, but they don't have much else in common with confident, intelligent, European women. When Americans and sometimes others rant on about lefties, it's as if they don't realise they're talking about USA capitalism. I looked into what they say those things promote, and all of it goes back to the USA. One of the things was an internet talk of child transsexuals, and they said the left cause it. Yet most of the cases where children are encouraged to change gender are in the USA.
Those people who join in with USA, misogynist youtubers, also don't seem to realise the National Health Service is a lefty idea, and Americans who insult the left wing also insult the NHS and free university that most of north Europe and Scandinavia have..
Most of the time, most socialist countries such as those in Scandinavia and other north European culture countries, main left wing policies are a free health service or free and cheap university. While the USA promotes transgender children, child male genital mutilation, a melting pot nation and liberal gender ideas to them. Denmark ban child male genital mutilation, while the USA encourages it, and Denmark is a lefty nation. It's the USA that has lots of angry men who spend a lot of time online trying to take out their issues on women.

So, no one learns much. Years ago-40-50, to be exact, they were much more realistic. Some kids were in ''college prep'' type classes, some were in regular classes, with some going for apprenticeships.
Often you get those who say the word lefty as an insult towards multiculturalism. Yet how multicultural is Communist China compared to the USA? How multicultural is ex Communist east Europe compared to the USA? How many transgender children are there in Communist or ex Communist and left wing countries compared to capitalist countries?
USA prides itself on being a melting pot culture.
Which causes some USA males to grow up angry and spending a lot of their time online, taking their issues out on women.

That would make the typical person think I'm probably left, if they are on the "right", and would make the typical person think I'm on the right if they are on the "left".
It's not left and right, it's correct and incorrect. It's easy to dismiss an idea simply because it's in a flawed ideology - but all ideologies are flawed. I think once you understand that you can take each idea and concept on its own and whatever is congruent and works together, that's the START of a working system, but I'm not at all certain you have have an entirely coherent ideology that is completely factual. Nobody has found it yet, and it's not like people haven't been trying to build one for all of time - certainly people more intelligent and educated than I have attempted it, and failed.

Your assertion that the bible "contains thousands of years of trial in error in what is moral and what works" is incorrect.
Even if I accepted your assertion, for arguments sake, the bible was plagiarised from many beliefs including the Torah with the new testament being written in the first century. So even if the bible was a moral guide it is a moral guide to the first century at best.
You will find that morality is based in empathy and evolves with society totally independently of any supernatural influence. In it's purest essence morality is just the subtleties that help humans to trade and live communally.

Nice to see an interviewer letting a subject answer questions fully and explain context and experience on how views are formed.

@@paule1983 But that's just one thing they could differ on. It would be good to for the interview to take place. He doesn't seem 2021 woke left. There are an umbrella of people who identify with liberal ideology. LOL But it's true. people need to be honest, i think we are all craving regular people being honest. Most people are closer to the middle, in that they are willing to be wrong, and aware of reality.
