- After buying an expensive new TV but not liking the boomy low end built in speakers, I wanted to try a cheap and compact soundbar. I was going to go with the 20" Vizio but after seeing Walmart offers an Onn version (which I've always been impressed with in regards to bang for your buck) went with the Onn and wanted to make a video showing the unboxing and setup with this impressive 2.0 soundbar.

I genuinely believe that they make the audio on tvs bad so people can buy sound bars
This is a fact
The problem is tvs are getting thinner. Its a compromise.
Just like phones. Tvs are getting thinner and speakers need depth. Not only that but speakers in back of tv away from where your sitting. We can go back to 10” thick tvs if you want
Most monitors don’t come with speakers

I just got an onn sound bar and subwoofer 🔊 I went with the ARC connection and it fired right up. Solid construction too. The improvement over TV sound is well worth it.
I have one but i was disappointed with volume and bass i really wanna know how much louder the xb43 is

I love this sound bar unfortunately I’m a budget person I did test out the Vizio but unfortunately due to my finances I had to get a simple one and I’m glad sounds just as good and it’s loud for my room

Can somebody help ! I am having issue with the sound I purchased yesterday. I connected it it worked well and today the sounds coming out from it is stuttering it cutting out , I turned it off and reconnected it many times but it fix the problem!
PS: I have Vizio TV !

I have this sound bar and it's OK for dialogue and soft music, but the bass responses really not there. I'm wondering if you can use it with a subwoofer does anyone know?
I don't think you can but Walmart also sells a very similar Onn soundbar with a separate subwoofer that doesn't cost that much more.
They sell 3 different ones. The one above this is longer, & has a small bass speaker built-in. & The top one has multiple speakers & a big subwoofer.
I bought one of those a year ago still working but mine didn't come with no LED lights

Today I just bought this same sound bar and I have it laying on my floor lol ik it's odd then I just lay on my air mattress out in my secondary room which before wasn't being used now I have the sound bar with a 40 inch tv so far its been pretty good I think it's worth it and definitely better then tv speakers for sure
Mines can’t work anymore, not connecting at the time when a I need it. Just Bluetooth mode on my phone. Any others have the same problem?
Yes, same problem. And now my optical cable doesn’t work either.
I think it’s great! I only bought it because I needed some external audio device for my gaming monitor, and for when I don’t wanna always use my headset. And it’s perfect for that! Sounds fine for what I use it for, and it was very cost effective.
I got one yesterday for the same reason, wanted to have some audio on my Gaming Monitor without having to use my headset all the time and it gets the job done!

How do I get the Roku remote to adjust the volume instead of having all these remotes? Vizio TV and voice activated Roku. I canceled xfinity.
Have to use hdmi cable and arc/earc port. Unfortunately this sound bar does not have arc/earc port

I bought 1 for my monitor 2 days ago it's ok until you connect your phone thru Bluetooth, the speaker caught me off guard & got hella loud out of nowhere my only problem with it. It's short

No. Even when set to “auto” audio output on my onn Tv, it chooses one or the other 🤨

No, you have to use the separate remote that comes with it.

Would it be worth it to use it with a cell phone bluetooth?
If you’re just planning on using it with a phone then I would recommend a portable Bluetooth speaker since they don’t require being constantly plugged in and you can get some pretty good ones for $40 and under.

I like it. It has good base. I bought one because. My sister It's so annoying. And she's always blasting her music to make me mad. And it's only her t. V. So I bought the soundbar and now she gets mad at me. Because my music so loud. 😂😂😂😂 I already plan on getting at least one more and then some subs. Just to make her even more mad. 😂😂😂😂😂 But the base is actually pretty good. It shakes my bathroom wall. 😂😂😂😂
What i don't like about onn sound bars is the voice that talks so annoying onn need to get rid of that just beep would do it or no beep at all i have the one without the LED and annoying voice ia what gets me is there a way to shut it up? Also the remote cheaply made the paint comes off is there a replacement remote i could buy
I also didn't like the voice, plus it's fairly loud and doesn't adjust to what you set the volume to. As far as I know you can't turn off the voice. For the remote you'd probably have to try and find one on eBay. You might be able to control the soundbar with your TV's remote but most TVs don't recognize Onn products.

@@JessicaJade-wr1ie I found a Samsung on sale for $80 that works great with my Samsung TV. It comes on and off with the TV and can be controlled with the remote. It sounds a bit better than the Onn but not as good as one for a few hundred dollars. Onn also makes a larger soundbar with a subwoofer for around $100 but it probably still has the annoying voice and same remote. Vizio has a small soundbar I have on another TV and it works really good, and can be controlled with the TVs remote since probably all TVs and able to control Vizio sounbars since they're popular. If you use eBay you can find just about any soundbar for a fraction of the price they would go for new.
@@Mr.Everything thanks I'll just buy Sony or Samsung I also have a Sony sound bar with a subwoofer I have that one connected to my bigger tv in the living room sounds loud with bass but that Sony sound bar is old I believe I bought it when the Wii mini came out I forgot still works I paid $110 at target back then I need to replace the remote the lower button doesn't work RMT AH1003U the model of the sound bar says SA-CT80 not the best but good sound can't find the same one.
@@Mr.Everything I just found a TCL 2.1 channel S4210 Soundbar it has a subwoofer it was $149.99 now is $119.99 that's what I paid for my old Sony sound bar I don't know if is a good one? 🤔

Unfortunately you can't. It had pretty good sound for the price but I got tired of having to use a separate remote so I ended up buying a Samsung soundbar that works with my Samsung TV with one remote. Some TVs may recognize the Onn brand, but mine mostly only had remote options for more popular brands to be able to control with the TV remote.

Crap thing will NOT play using hdmi or bluetooth. Only optical cable
And even that stopped working for me after 12 days!
The quality on the sound bar sucks. And there’s no real way to adjust the audio.
Are you using the optical cable? Cause that makes it sound great
Lost remote and will not pair with other universal remotes or even other onn remotes

One thing i detest about this speakers is the voice that speaks ao annoying they wanna be Alexa from Amzn and iphone also android i always tuen off on my phone the google speak i mean shut up. I can't throw away the sound bar to the garbage ill just going to sell it tor $20 who cares if o paid more I'm getting a different brand a known one all this unknown brands are never good they copy others ill bw buying something Sony or jbl last time buying a cheap wanna be now hate i just hate the voice the sound is alright not that good but hey the price and the brand makes sense i know some people are on a budget save up.
