I wonder if Don Carson read or heard Martyn Lloyd-Jones a lot, not that he'd have to but so much of the big, great & beautiful truths he speaks are exactly the things that MLJ said, and wrote.
Re Thomas, some others, so many of these preachers that studied in bible schools for 10 years or more...I wonder how much some read or learned...for one thing the greatest gospel preacher in 20th century, MLJ, spent most all his ministry in exposition and for any minister that thinks the gospel may not get spoken because of expositional preaching maybe should do some other type work.
Most of the panels have persons who'd be better off studying their bibles instead of talking. An hour with Carson would be the best idea of all...he is great.

I agree with your comments regarding DA Carson. He is a modern day MLJ and a great blessing to the church. However, I wouldn't be so quick to criticize the other panelists.
