- Ladies and gentlemen WARG are back and hopefully better than ever. In this battle report we have tackled an 'age' old argument within Tolkien lore. Were men tougher in the second or third age?
In this battle report 800 Points of Minas Tirith led by Denethor try and deny the return of the aged but rightful king, Elendil. Will the higher defence and fight 5 Gondorians outclass the humble Numenorian marine, or will the strength 4 and free heroic combats cut through?
The MESBG community is a better place when a WARG battle report comes out! Very stoked to see you guys back!
Glad to be back mate, have a bit of a fire in the belly again after this one so hopefully can keep the momentum up!. Thanks for your support and for watching mate.
-Jeff
I really like those objective markers. I can see that affecting how people play knowing exactly which models are contesting.
Glad to see you guys back!
-Richard
I like these too. The only issue I see is, if there is any terrain blocking it.
Glad to be back mate, we find they stop the feels bad moments for new players where that model that they thought was just on the objective is off and at the time of filming I felt like a pretty new player all over again! Thanks for watching mate.
-Jeff
That WARG branding on the table 🤤 I'm not sure our naked Gollum pic has quite the same effect 😅
hey you've got at least one girl watching xP
great batrep, welcome back!
Glad to have you among us and thanks for watching, hopefully punch out a few more over the coming months.
-Jeff
Love the shoutout Doddsy!! Unfortunately that use of a ranger on the siege engine got FAQ'd :(
Quality battle rep! I’m looking for some inspiration for my Gondor Rangers and wondered if you have any up close images of them front & back, or some info on what paints/colours/processes you used? Keep up the good work 💪🏻
So for the cloaks I used Scale 75 Ardennes green SC-45 with a dry brush of Citadel moot green.
Leather is Citadel Thondia brown with highlights with Mournfang for highlights.
The cloth is scale 75 Eclipse Grey SC-16 dry brush citadel Russ Grey
The red is Scale 75 Deep Red Sc-35
Bows and spears steel Legion drab,
Flesh is Kislev Flesh, wash of seraphim sepia then dry brush kislev back over.
That pretty much what I did
Gold is Citadel Retributor gold
allright gamers, have not heard that for a while
Hopefully a few more time in coming months mate, thanks for watching.

what models are the mounted elendil and isildur
Hey mate they are davale sculpts. Thanks for watching.
-Jeff
What proxies are you using for your Elendil & Isildur mounted models?
They are the davale numenorians mate same as the captain. Thanks for watching.
-Jeff
Where did the trees come from?
Home made by a bloke at the club i believe mate, thanks for watching.
-Jeff
5:38 Quick question regarding shooting from an elevated position.
Since the Rangers were positioned on the ruins, were “In The Ways” necessary to shoot Isildur?
13:09 Loving this BR. I play Minas Tirith and wanted to clarify the banner rules. With where Boromir is positioned, did you allowed banner re-rolls for the warriors who didn’t have line of sight?
Curious what the consensus is on “line of sight” for a banner. Is it just any little bit, or the majority?
Hey mate with in the ways if any part of the model is obscured by any part of another its an in the way, this includes weird appendages and weapons. We play that if any part of the banner can be seen they are good to go and where boromir was for most of the game the troops on the right of the ruin could all see about 50% of the banner. Thanks for watching.
-Jeff
Love me some fountain guard court 😂
Haha classic Stu
The stormtrooper numenoreans strike again!

-Jeff
